  • The good and bad of the Wild Badger 40v Chainsaw; I'll cover everything in this review from unboxing, setup, and use it in two different states for trimming trails, and cutting tree trunks. Wild Badger reached out to me and asked if I'd like to review this thing, and given that I need a chainsaw out west on our offgrid property, it made sense to bring it out there. I've used Milwaukee Electric chainsaws and so far this is better and more potent, it cuts quickly and silently. That said, mine does leak oil quite a bit.

Thanks! More exciting stuff in the future. When companies send me free stuff, I have to make videos on it, but if I get a decen tool out of it, I'm doing it. I'll tell you if it sucks tho!

Watching the video, the cutting seems comparable to my M18 chainsaw with the large battery. (I'm old school, but that was a worthy upgrade for me over the gas saws I was used to for years).
I think the big advantage Milwaukee has is the shared battery with all of the other M18 and M12 tools that you own. It becomes an addiction real fast, and then once you start accumulating batteries and tools from them it never stops. Take the M18/M12 saws out with a pile of good batteries and you can cut all day.
That being said, the cost of the Wild Badger is crazy cheap if it holds up the same over time. Considering that an M18 would run about $275, PLUS the cost of a single M18 XC12.0 battery of another $250 (which is pretty much required to get any kind of decent power out of it or run time).
If I didn't already have Milwaukee tools, I'd probably give that saw a try if I was looking for one!

Yeah, ecosystem is nice, but this is simply a lot more powerful. High voltage motor, more capacity, etc.

You talk about working at Milwaukee tools every time you pick up a Milwaukee tool. Lol

@@ChrisMeirose The gloss/polished tooling is doing them no favors. I don't get it because the rest of their product line is textured. Need better ID guys over there...

I would for power tools. But this thing would eat the Milwaukee alive. Big ads 40v battery is like going from m12 to m18
