- Very funny episode with Richard having some great lines. Another very funny moment was when he told Nanette Fabray to just write "Smile" again on her card! LMAO

RIP NANETTE FABRAY who recently passed away at age 98. A talented lady who also did a tremendous amount of charity work to help the hearing-impaired community. As someone who is 75% deaf I can only say a sincere and heartfelt THANK YOU and farewell.
I recognized her sign in her intro and saw in Wikipedia that she was HH. I did not know that. . . Also, after that time she had several serious accidents.

Bert Convy's three-week stay is almost at an end. He'll be back in October. They asked Brett Somers back again. And again. And again. And again, until she finally agreed to become the second regular on the panel.
Jack Carter's in his second week on the show. He'll also be back in October.
Only week of Lucie Arnaz on the show. The first child of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, and best known for appearing on her mother's sitcom Lucy's Show, she'd go on to play Neil Diamond's girlfriend in The Jazz Singer. Arnaz is the last remaining panelist from this week as of February 2018.
The first of two weeks for stage & screen veteran Nanette Fabray, she would appear in an infamous episode of Match Game a month later ("The Commissioner said 'I think Batman and Robin are _______'"). Fabray died in Februrary 2018, she was 97.

@@dtmania I could be wrong but since I have look at a skip list I found that says that one episode is damage so GSN decided to skip, I don't think that episodes 31-33 has ever aired again since Aug 22 to 24, 1973. And I am guessing that MGP nor Fremantle have the episodes and so the episodes are consider lost..

I've always loved this game show. But the one thing that puzzled me was from a contestants perspective. You'll have a man and a woman playing against one another or two women but I have yet to see two men competing. I wonder why that is.

People like Nanette just didn't get the show.
First time I watched "The Lucy Show" and "Here's Lucy" was about 4 months ago (I'll watch them again in a couple more months). I never did watch I Love Lucy. I can't find it.
And also, this was NOT the episode after the last one!! There was a guy up there waiting to play the money round. And I don't remember ANY black lady whose won a game yet. Episodes 32 and 33 are not shown (guess I'll have to try Dailymotion for that)

yes.. she did sign language during her introductions (and other times) on many shows, including, notably, this show, the carol burnett show, and i have a secret, among others. here, she just said/signed “that’s me” when they introduced her. she often wrote down what she was signing in other episodes on the blue card (examples: “happy day”, “hi”, “love”)
