I have a smile plastered on my face the entire time I watch these videos. It’s just so wholesome and entertaining.
Betty white was so beautiful inside and out, miss her!❤
I love how Betty loves these games!
Allen kills me when looks at the camera when somebody says a silly answer. His look says it all 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Angelique Collins “Do you hear what I hear?”
Now..I need to watch all of Betty White's episodes 😊
I love when Betty is on. She is funny during lighting round "Buzzer" 😂💕 love allen and betty
Betty being on made it really fun to watch & her interaction w/Allen is cute
Adore Betty. Always chatting away with her partner in between rounds....really putting them at ease
Betty White was so smart and so good at game shows.
The best of everything, Password, Betty White, Allan Ludden, and the championship games! Thanks for posting!
I love these old shows and it's so funny how the meanings of some words have changed! Bootee today is something other than what it was then lol. Very fun vids thanks for posting!
Yes they have.
Spelled differently.
Congratulations Nancy for winning I hope you've had a great life 😊
Betty White & Elizabeth Montgomery where for sure BEAUTIES AND TALENTED.
Betty’s dresses are always very pretty!
That clutch answer was super clutch
I always thought these videos were Betty in her 20s. Had no idea she was already 40s, she looks so much younger. The old saying is true 😊 Lovely soul ❤️
I like old shows
Seeing these shows on a well-adjusted color TV set was a jaw-dropping experience. We now take such technological miracles for granted, but not back then ...
Yes I too love Betty White & AllenLudden. But Frank Gifford is not only a really handsome guy but
He’s smart !! Great Players
Allen always cracks that whipcord on the microphone when he's introduced
I'm pretty sure "Medallion" includes the word "medal" and would disqualify Frank Gifford 😡
Loved it! One of my favorite games! We used to play Password in the car with the Password game!
I did as well. My younger brother and I got the home game for Christmas in the Late 60s.
i could watch these shows 4 hours....
betty musta loved playin with cute frank, they did a few shows together..
he is a doll ! (sour dean, lol)
I feel like Betty could've had some kind of funny comment when they had the passwords 'hump' and 'booty' back to back. 😁 Back then you had to be a little (ok a lot) more careful about what you said on tv. 😊
HOLY!!! mackerel .....lol ....what a corker of an answer.
I was yelling seashells!!
I say sardine exactly like Frank Gifford and my kids laugh at me!
Nancy said buzzer after the first bell!
Frank Gifford was really good
frank u hunk
Absolutely!!!!!
The guy saying the password sounds so funny!!!😆
I've never heard the word beachcomber before today.
A 'beachcomber' is a person who walks the beach looking for valuable or interested things like coins, shells and shark's teeth.
It was a common word back in the day. 🦜
I've heard it all my life.
Frank Gifford had a great complexion. He must have been very young.
37 at the time this show aired. He had already retired from the Giants and football after the '64 season.
That guy sounded really clever and smart until he said “sour-deen” 😂😂
I mean... who says that apart from him and his family in California? 😂😂😅😅
Probably a lot of people in his day. We drop and add words over the decades. Like calling something bad or cool or calling a good looking person a fox or foxy in the 70s.
I would have given "clamdigger" as a clue for "beachcomber."
The bell ringer must have O.C.D.
Hey, it's a living...: )
Allen makes a quirky entrance. Not really negative, just different. I suppose he had to stay clear of the 🎤 chord
I think that's EXACTLY why Allem's entries onto the set were so odd. If you watch closely, he always took several loops of mic cable. Once he got to the podium, he tossed some of it back, but kept a decent length
onstage..
He had that move down to a science!
I think the way he walks out with his chest out makes him look confident and friendly. Especially when he extends his right hand out. He has a flair.
Sour-dine..? 🤔😂
When your family mispronounces a word and you think it’s right;))
@@Raminakai it was right for his time and part of the country
I used to love this show, especially when they said The password is ...
Frank is very good looking
It seems that "booties" didn't have the additional meaning that it has now.
Seven hundred must be seven thousand in today's money.
$ 6,207.18
I'm sure that guy isn't happy with Frank Gifford. He was playing really good with Betty White
5:39 - Wow!!!!!!
'SOUR-DEAN'!? Seriously!? Good God.
3:31 👍🏻 if you also said “toe”
14:46 Has anyone ever heard the pronunciation of “sourdine” for _sardine_ aside from here?
It was probably from his younger years and a different part of the US. We still have unusual words between the north east and the south and the west coast. My grandma was born in 1918 and called a van a panel wagon all her life.
2:01 Travel to Europe by airplane was still novel enough in 1967 that Allen Ludden could ask the contestant how many times she had been to Europe.
Are you kidding? MOST people in the west still have never been to Europe, including myself.
Not fair. Betty was giving lots more than one word clues in order for her partner to squeeze out “buzzer”:at the last second.
Frank was so handsome, how old is he here!!!???
Frank was 37 years-old in 1967. I was 9, and watched Password religiously and had the home version I wore out with friends and cousins.
$1400 is about 13,500 dollars in today's money.
My god Tom Hanks
Totally!
The male contest, Norm Farrell, reminds me of the later actor John Mahoney, both in looks and voice.
I can see a little similarity. I loved John on Frasier.
Sauerdine?
Sourdien
*Sardine with a crazy accent.
I was wondering what the hell was up with sour dean. It's pretty funny how bootee had a completely different meaning back then. If kick didn't work for punt I'm sure fourth down would have
Spelled differently. You're thinking of booty.
@@RepentfollowJesus OMG, actually Mary I misspelled it on porpoise, I do that alot just for the halibut, ✌
7:12 haha, alright pancakes
I like the male contestant, Norman Ferall. He's funny and a cutie!!
The word at 04:11.. Hilarious
...and 3:29 haha
I think the stewardess was cheating. Her partners were giving her buildable clues and she would guess, correctly, far too soon. Her expression was quite smug and showed little concentration too.
Drew McIntyre versus Sheamus Daniel Bryan versus Marvel Reigns Randy Orton
Haven't seen an episode featuring Pat Suzuki
Who was he or her???
@@janeiwasduncan8463 Pat Suzuki was an Asian actress who starred in Flower Drum Song on Broadway.
I hadn’t even been born yet. My birth date 03-18-1968.
Edit: I hadn’t even been made yet.
W
It is so unusual to see Betty with dark hair. I wonder when she switched to blonde.
They didn't have much diversity on their television shows back then. I saw only one celebrity guest Sammy Davis Jr. I guess they didn't think we liked Games back then. America the great. Rest Easy Betty White.
Mine
Deer. Make. Would have gotten Buck much sooner. Lol
Drew McIntyre fast swim
Did Betty and Allen have children?
Yeah, three children, a son named David, and two daughters, Martha and Sarah.
@@GameShowsGS Betty gave birth to them or from Allen's previous marriage?
Allen’s previous marriage, Margaret McGloin.
She was a step mom to three of his children from a previous marriage.
Betty didn't have children she didn't want any
The female contestant looks so much like jennifer lawrence.
Daniel Bryan versus mobile Reigns at Fastlane Randy Orton vs Alexa Bliss Eng vs Oso
Frank doesn't seem very bright.
Two cheats from the host. Boooooo
