- Author Douglas Murray has shared his thoughts about the state of Canada under the leadership of Justin Trudeau.
Mr Murray slammed the decision by speaker of Canada's House of Commons Anthony Rota to invite a Ukrainian man who fought for a Nazi military unit against the Soviets in the 1940s to the parliament.
Mr Rota maintained he did not know of the veteran’s links to the Schutzstaffel and has since resigned.
Mr Murray labelled the incident as “extraordinary” and said the bungle handed a massive propaganda win to the Russians.
“This is what happens when a country loses its adults. When ignoramuses who think they know everything take charge,” he continued.
“This is just one example of what happens when your society gets riddled by stupidity because of stupid leaders.”

I also expressed my very deep concern that our PM has exerted unnecessary and extreme censorship policies from a man who goes around the world extolling the virtues of freedom of speach and democracy. I challenge every Canadian to get off your sofa go look up your local MP on Google and write to them your disgust at what we have running this country and will they stand for those once core principals that made us great instead of what we have now become the laughing stock on the world stage. As a Canadian i think Trudeau is a result of us working stiffs not paying close attention. Most of us voters went to trade, technical, or school of hard knocks and were so seperated from what has been going on in our universities for a couple decades. Thanks to chaps like Douglas Murray et al. I feel more informed and aware and hopefully we can better recognize and call out these bad actors....pun intended.
As a Canadian I can say most of us hate Trudeau, and a lot of us have had very little hope for him since day 1. The problem is that there is a very small, densely populated area that controls the country, and if you can get their vote, you get the win.

Mainly Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa. The whole western part of Canada rarely has an effect on our election outcomes. Vancouver does typically votes liberal in federal elections I think.

I think there is a difference between electing a leader on merit vs electing someone simply to get someone else out. This is how Trudeau was elected. There was a desperation to get out Harper during his first campaign, and in the next election there was no viable alternative. So here we are.
