The corolla ones are weaker then the stock glanza ones unfortunately, especially the 6 speed out the g6r
I bought a fully forged engine with a diesel box attached.. I’ll try find out what box it came from but it was 10 years ago I had no trouble with it but the ratios had been adjusted aswell to suit. I had 250-260 running through it. I went through 2 gearboxes before the diesel one and it lasted a full year of hard driving before I sold the car. Damn I miss my ep82 soo bad

As always the most entertaining content Jamie. Out of all the car channel notifications I have turned on, yours again was the best by far this week. The Glanza turbo is great fun. We used to call it the micro-evo. The Nissan sunny/pulsar gtir was the mini-evo. Great fun to drive.

I had one of those but replaced it with the 5efhe engine. I made 247whp on a dynapack dyno at 15psi. The dual runners from the 5efhe makes a huge difference to the torque curve once you figure out how to control them.

I have my 1995 Starlet GT Advance 19 years next month, it’s completely original never messed with. Each to their own and all that but very few EP82 and EP91 Starlet Turbos survive in OEM state. These things struggle to get the power down stock I can’t imagine what that one must be like as you mentioned a handful. These are fast enough as they are for a 1.3 they are amazing ! I will be keeping mine original though !
Would love to see a 60-130 leaderboard to give fwd & older cars a chance if that’s feasible 🙏

The toyota starlet Glanza turbo was always my dream car growing up ... as a yout in school... I used to always be on websites japan checking out that car... also the crestas but the glanza turbo manual was the first performance i fell in love with... even the ae86 was not as coveted as the glanza to me in my opinion growing up....
Nice car man, love light small cars, reminds me of my 205. Seemed like he bogged down on both 0-60 runs plus thought he has launch control. Defo could get low 5s. Awesome build
