Hmm, these drag races and braking tests are not eligible, because cars are on different tyres. This just shows how much more grippier the audi's tyres were, on the other hand Ferrari has stiffer suspension and that usually results in not so good braking compared to soft susp.
Hello, I might be mistaken, but the reason for the difference in braking performance between those cars, most likely is: Ferrari has: Michelin Cup 2 in widths = 245 (front), 305 (rear) Audi has: Continental Sport Contact 7 in widths = 285 (front), 285 (rear) So because Cup 2's on Ferrari need additional heat buildup for optimal performance, the main reason is that Audi has wider section tires on the front. Front tires contribute to most of the deceleration, when weight shifts to the front, so Audi has advantage in the contact patch during this process. Cheers.
One thing I might add to that and I hope I explain it properly. We know that when emergebraking the car automatically downshifts (if auto trans) where each shift to a lower gear helps slow the vehicle as well. Being awd I would think that each downshift would be 2 ti.es more effective than a rear wheel drive with front wheels basically running freely. I hope that makes sense. Lol
Both wrong. Audi has front engine so more weight over the front so more grip for braking with weight transfer. Ferrari is mid so there isnt weight transfer so less grip in the front. Front is what has the most braking force. Tires matter a little but engine weight transfer does more. Also soft suspension means more weight put on front axle
@@someverycool4552he was saying that the engine is in the middle of the car so the weight distribution is not the same how can you not understand this idiot
The Audi RS7(as is the RS6, RSQ8, Urus and Cayenne Turbo) is fitted with the largest front brakes ever fitted to any production vehicle ever, 450mm Carbon Ceramic brakes with a massive 10-piston caliper, that fitted with 4,500lbs of weight to increase traction that negates the increase in momentum, thats why the RS7 stopped quicker.

Capital preservation is crucial. Losing your initial investment can significantly hinder your ability to generate returns, making it essential to prioritize protection over growth. Think of it like this: there will always be multiple investment opportunities (trains) passing by, but if you lose your capital, you'll miss the entire journey. It’s the ground. Thats why the Ferrari does not brake as good as it should. It’s firm suspension can’t really find the grip. The Audis suspension is much more compliant. It can handle the uneven roads better.
That’s not all, the brakes on the Audi is bigger and better too.
And the audi is heavier and can bend more down in the front, meaning it slows down faster
*brake
458 uses carbon ceramics, they need to be really hot to be at proper operating temp
@@Tom_22 That's a stupid anology, the lighter the car the faster it stops. You can't get a semi truck to stop fast and it's heavier and bends more down at the front
The RS7 has the 911 Turbo effect. Shoots off the line, gets battered in a roll race.
yeh awd and launch control
@@lemcakes32422 Its only when they're tuned, they can translate that awesome launch into sustained competitive acceleration.
The Audi’s prodigious torque and AWD allow it to take off the line faster. I think the Ferrari may have had a higher 1/4 mile trap speed, though. It was slightly gaining at that point.
Matt, could you make a list of the best times of the cars tested in the 400m. So, in each video they could show the top 10 and in which position the car in the video was placed. Top gear did this and was very good at comparing times.
That 458 plate 😂😂 ADHD AF
That RS7 sounds like a lawnmower next to that Ferrari
because IT IS a lawnmower
@@NikosKalantasTouKabourdirhTouKif the RS7 is a lawnmower then that Ferrari is grass
@@Glock7eventeenyou sure yoh know what you talking? Grass dont make sounds as good as the 458 speciale while the RS7 really sounds like lawnmower especially with its rev limiter
@@notagain2856 “waa waa my super car might be a lot slower but at least it makes good noises waa waa”
Grow up child, the faster, better car, won.
@Glock7eventeen you grow up, In the real world, no sane rich person would ever choose an Audi RS7 over a Ferrari 458 Speciale: the market is proof of what I say, the 458 Speciale continues to rise in value, while the RS7 depreciates rapidly
Ok now let's race a modern Ferrari vs that rs7
Yeah now let's bring the "daddy" to race this against this RS7, which is sf90
@@shahmi5727 I was thinking about something else. SF90 has hypercar performance 🤣🤣
Andy is useless
@@shahmi5727296 or maybe a Roma.
@@kanyebu2670 😁😁 it doesn't matter, still gonna be interesting video to watch a drag race between hypercar and 4 door saloon car
rwd vs awd quattro? What’s the point
The F458 It has rear-wheel drive only Is disadvantage at start compared to Audi which has quattro drive, 4 wheel drive
OMG that Ferrari sounds so good i dont care that it doesnt beat the RS7. Its not all about the power and noise but how it looks and feels and i bet that Ferrari has you smiling every minute.
It's not stock, it's an aftermarket Novitech's exhaust system watch 02:18, Audi RS7's sound without a soft limiter is a lion's roaring
I see you say the same thing in others comments. What does that even mean, are you trying to downgrade it? 😂 Even with stock system, the 458 sounds amazing. @@AngelsLoveErbil
important is: in a standing start drag race. Also you know 4WD and stuff on the RS7. Prefer the Ferrari in all aspects still :D
@@TheNightYoshi That's a no brainer.
Recessions is an inherent part of the economic cycle, so it's essential to be prepared and plan strategically. I'm particularly interested in seeking guidance from this advisor, given their expertise. Could someone please assist me in getting in touch with them or exploring the possibility of working together? I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to tap into their knowledge and insights.
Capital preservation is crucial. Losing your initial investment can significantly hinder your ability to generate returns, making it essential to prioritize protection over growth. Think of it like this: there will always be multiple investment opportunities (trains) passing by, but if you lose your capital, you'll miss the entire journey. Safeguarding your wealth ensures you remain on board for future prospects.
Building wealth involves developing good habits like regular investments and solid financial management. Don't shy away from this crucial topic -it's essential for securing your future. I wish everyone reading this success and prosperity in their lives.
Now imagine how difficult it is to meet those simple needs if income is limited to a monthly Social Security check. Unfortunately, millions of people now face that life-sobering challenge because they could not set and address their investment goals earlier in life.
You're right! The very first time I tried, I invested $2000 and after a week, I received $8,400. That really helped us a lot to pay up our bills.
Interesting! But I'm new here. How can I get to this person's guidelines??
458 Speciale is my DREAM car. Peak NA Ferrari V8.
Matt, please bring some MotoGP or Superbikes content if possible. I always see notification in anticipation of MotoGP/Motorcycle drag race. Thanks.
They have done some before with dani pedrosa riding it.
@@stichupman yes, I have seen all of them.
But been quite a while since then.
I have an aftermarket valve control on my Audi RS6 Performance. The stock exhaust with the V8 sounds phenomenal when all valves are open.
On a different note: you can create a shortcut to switch off the speed warning at the start. 😅
What about the amazing corsa nurburgring Edition caught at 12:11
That 458 looks gorgeous and SOUNDS spectacular, like a supercar should. Turbos may be powerful and better fuel economy, but who cares for all that in an exotic car? Its all about the natural aspiration in V8 or even better V10 or best a V12!
Just waiting for an 8.3 V16 with a Gintani exhaust
Matt, just turn the warnings off, is not that hard :)
Can you make a video of the 458 speciale vs the corvette c8 Z06 😊
Rs7 🥰😍
Crazy that even the S3 would smoke the Ferrari from traffic lights.
A 10-15 year old Ferrari.
@@Brian.Jones.310But it's still a supercar right?😂😂
@@NwosuChimaobi-gb7hqso what? Any average sports car will beat an F40. That doesn't prove jackshit and the F40 will hold more value and attention anydays
Round a track different story thats what this 458 is for not straight line drag.
@@NwosuChimaobi-gb7hqthe trouble is you don’t own neither of them
Please drag race the holy trinity!
If only the rs7 sounded decent, sounds like a Taco Bell restroom 😅
It actually hurts my heart to see how far cars have come . You would expect a ferrari to beat a supercar like that but normal cars now have the performance of supercafs 10 years ago
It's very likely to jump start when you have a person waving their arms and shouting numbers
Nobody is shouting anything.
How naive are you?
You must be new here, too.
RS3 gives that Ferrari a close drag race and the M5 CS beats it everywhere
"Your video was amazing! I always enjoy watching your content. Keep it up, I can’t wait for your next videos!"
Andy should have said... "My Ferrari keeps appreciating...how's that Audi holding up?"
Worst launcher in carwow history
