    Quick way to remove the fuel pump and sender on most Renaults with an in tank pump setup. You will likely break the locking collar on removal by chipping the plastic and should replace with a new one and o'ring/seal when refitting the new pump/sender.

    Thank you for your video. Not the best way to remove the unit with an overfilled fuel tank. Now to secure the unit again......

    This is bollocks as well, the renault clio I am using, the hole is more elongated and the top of the petrol tank sender unit is offset so impossible to take it out. So must have to undo the actual tank. Turns it into a much bigger job than this, so for me not a quick way at all. Yes it is a clio mk3 1200cc 2011

      Is yours a clio 3? You need to cut the floor or remove the tank

      On my Kangoo 4x4, the access hole is offset with the fuel pump, so I had to sort of develop a tool (a key to engage with all the corners of the ring) to unscrew it.

    I heard on the later petrols for the clio, the fuel filter is in the tank how can that be replaced

    • @Adeyspec

      If you separate the pump housing the physical pump is inside it, on the bottom of it is a little tea bag filter that you can pop off. Generally though they are very clean even at 100+k miles

      @@Adeyspec thanks when I buy the fuel pump does it come with the fuel filter or do I need to buy this seperately? I dobt want to put the old filter in the new fuel pump lol

      @@JU0800 that i don't know sorry, a quick google would suggest if you buy a new "pump" for a Renault it comes complete as a unit ready to drop in. looks to include the pump itself, the filter, the housing and everything else required. Looks like you would remove the housing complete as per the video and replace with a whole other one.

    nothing personal , but all the western world was laughing at us east block blokes that we do everything in the parking lot a wait for a new car for a year...and voila, its here and in the west too :D:D:D.
    iam just cleaning my 1.5 dcis fuel tank as there are so much metal shavings in the tank fuel filter and in the white plastic gizmo that the half of the fuel pressure pump has to be missing . the fun thing is its still pumping the correct pressure. just one injector bit the dust.

      I'll fix everything I can myself. Not all the western world is throw away, alot are though. I'll fix it till its too far before I decide to replace things, good on you 👍🏻

      @@Adeyspec well it was not soon enough i did some 20-40 km with those in the system and some 45minutes alltogether on idle when diagnosing the problem. could have started with filter after the first puff in the exhaust :D next time ....

    • @Adeyspec
      @Adeyspec  2 роки тому

      Depends on the car. Some have a filter on the side of the fuel tank others don't have a replaceable filter and it's just a sock on the bottom of the pump itself

      It's a strainer filter in this setup in the bottom of the pump housing rather than an external filter

      @@Adeyspec do you have pictures by any chance of the filter? I want to change mine but I rather have a few pictures to match the correct filter and have it on hand so when I remove the pump I can just change the filter and put the pump back in...
