I feel great. I just bought the B523 and have been enjoying it while checking the reviews. This is my first Larceny.
I've also heard really good reviews about the A124. Any chance you have had that one? I have not.
Nice comparison. The last 4 Larceny BP’s have been good. My personal favorite is B523, but like them all. 🥃

C922 is the best for me, though i havent had a123. It never came to MA for some reason. Ive had everything else from c922-a124, and c922 is my favorite. C923 is prob my second favorite. Just had c922 and c923 back to back and c922 was better. Ill have to blind them all.
I purchased the B523 last Fall, yet to open it but based on all the reviews that one stands out.🥃
I think all of the 2023 releases were good, but this one stood out over all the rest for me.
I literally just picked up the C923 yesterday. They finally hit CT this week, along with the ECBP.
I'm still waiting to see the ECBP C923 in my area. I heard a lot of good things about it.
Just grabbed a Larceny C923 today. Amazing. A Tootsie Roll bomb.
I am looking forward to the releases next year. I think they are trending in the right direction.
Good review. I only have had C922 and I really do like it. Your cinnamon note is spot on. I haven't had for a week or two so I only remember the cinnamon.
I was expecting a stronger typical wheated note to come though, but it was not there. It was strong with cinnamon. Cheers.
Got a C923 today, excellent, hard to pick, C922 and B523 are probably my favorites

C922 for me. Ive had c922-a124 except for a123. For some reason never came to MA. Just had c922 and c923 back to back and c922 was better. My brother has the others, ill have to blind them all next time i go up.
If only I had access to all these. I did manage to get a B523 earlier this year but haven’t opened it yet.

These videos are fun to do. I find it very interesting how they can be so different, but also very similar at the same time.
Ive had c922-a124, except a123. For some reason a123 didnt come to MA. C922 is my favorite. C923 second best.

@@whiskeyisajourneyyup, they sure did. Well i cant speak of a123, but from what ive heard its pretty good. Always like to see new releases getting better and better and the price not gettin higher and higher. Too many distilleries over the last couple years, their release are getting worse but the price is going up

Great review. I enjoy your channel. I Love the Larceny BP releases of this year, B23 is my favorite also. I am a wheater fan in general. I like the higher proof Maker’s Mark releases too.
I agree the MM Cask Strength offerings are good as well. I have the B523 and the 2022 MM CS in my blind sample pool. I'm looking forward to that battle.

Oh man...going off memory I don't think there is any comparison. In my opinion MM CS comes across much softer on the palate and more well rounded. I have the B523 and the 2022 MMCS in my blind sample pool. Hopefully it will show up soon so I can get a better idea of how they compare.
I prefer larcent bp over ecbp. Ive had all of all of them except larceny a123, from c922-a124, and larceny c922 is my favorite. ECBP is just too much of the HH nutty flavor for me. I dont get it as much is some of the larceny bp releases.
Larceny comes across to me as softer on the palate. I appreciate that sometimes over the ECBP, but still prefer the ECBP. Cheers!
@@whiskeyisajourneyye larceny is pretty good. The first couple times i had it i didnt really care for it, when its a fresh crack. But after it oxidizes and opens up, it really comes together pretty well balanced. I also dont get the funkiness i tend to get it some wheaters.
I've had the first two this year. Hoping to run across C at retail.
If you had it, did you think A123 drank hot?
@@whiskeyisajourney I sampled them all together and frankly, my palate exploded. 😂 I've never done that much cask strength bourbon in one tasting and was not ready.
These high proof flights can kick! If you notice I don't drink a lot during them. Just enough to form an opinion.

Man, stop swirling it like a madman. That just agitates the ethanol and makes that evaporate first.
I know. I get into the habit of doing that way too much. I try to remember to roll it in the glass, but it's hard to remember once I start swirling. Happy New Year! Cheers...without swirling. 👍
