I don’t have bad days any more. I have bad five minutes. Prior to going on lexapro, I would spend hours being “stirred up” (if that makes any sense). I would obsess over stuff and the tension would linger for hours at a time. That’s what made it a day for me. Now I just plain let stuff go. I could spectacularly fail in a presentation in front of a large crowd, laugh at myself, then forget about it and move on. I can definitely tell that my unmedicated self is idling too high - haha.
Thanks for the info. I’m about two weeks into 5mg doses and will go up to 10mg soon. Not sure how I feel but something is different. Also wondering if this will help when the cause of my anxiety seems to be from Autism .
Tell us abt your dreams! I was on 40 friggin mg in 2005 and the dreams were beautiful. I would almost take it again if I knew could go back and not have the other horrible side effects
How did you find the right SSRII assume they all come with side effects I'm dealing with exhaustion and some stomach issues with lexapro but does it get better on another 🤔
@@aarondodson1261 yes bc it caused me insomnia when I first started. Like maybe the first two nights and it actually still does but I swear the NEXT day …. I’m a zombie 🧟♀️ 😢 like I be soooo tired. I hate it. I started the.man got off , then did that again and now this is my third time. My doc says do it everyday at the same time and maybe after two weeks the symptoms will change and take effect so I’m going on my 3rd week now if I’m not mistaken but I’m still so tired . I just want the meds to make me feel better and not tired 😩
@@tongpoo8985 I ended up learning about Venlafaxine and am taking it @ 37.5MG and it is helping my mood a lot. Lexapro didn’t seem to do much of anything but i was on a small dose. Increased it once but just didn’t feel right about it.
My depersonalization ended after changing my life style as far as my finance, diet, and overall out look on my life. Lexapro helped get my head away from dwelling thoughts. I have heard that lexapro is a good drug for depersonalization.
@@aaronsanxiety3571 i just started prozac my doc put me on 20mg for thr first 8 days and today is my first day on 30mg u think shes moving to fast or is that how it works for prozac im diagnosed with sever panic attacks and depersonalization
I also heard wen starting a ssri u can feel anxiety for the first couple weeks before ur body gets used to the medicine then the anxiety subsides is that true
john smith I would follow her instructions to the tee. Panic disorders, anxiety disorders etc are all pretty common place in their world and how to deal with it. You are just starting your journey man and you are going to have to ride things out for a bit. I will say just keep going. People quit too early and never allow the drug to be fully effective. Once you get on the right dosage, life will slowly but surly get better and better. You will be happy you stayed the course in the end. Take it One day at a time! You’ve got this!

You describe it so well. "How's my memory? How's my cognition?" I'm currently 5 weeks in and I get that de-personalization feeling as well.

Sleep is very important with Lexapro
I don’t think it gives us a choice with lexapro. Lol

Lexapro causes extreme insomnia for me. I’m going to have to quit unless I start getting to fall asleep.
Dude , I'm planning to be a father , does it affect your fertility? It's my 3rd day.. I had panic attacks / intrusive thoughts and racing thoughs ..
