I know what that means, I have finally had my daughter at 33 after one year and a half of trying and 5 miscarriages during this time. And now she is almost one and I cannot believe time flew this way!! Don’t lose hope, there is so much life ahead of you ❤️

Hey! Pharmacist here at a big chain - sometimes orders don’t come in because the manufacturer didn’t send it, sometimes it wasn’t ordered in time, or it wasn’t ordered at all! Orders at Walgreens typically come in toward the late afternoon. There’s a lot more going on behind the scenes than people appreciate and it’s so important to spread kindness to the pharmacists and technicians because they try their best with an extremely flawed system and management. Getting a delayed medication is always worst case scenario for me (as a pharmacist), I never want to make my patients wait ): Sometimes I work at stores that I’m processing over 1,000 scripts in one shift (8-10hr) with no help and have doctors on the line, patients verbally abusing us, orders coming in, inventory getting done, me being a cashier, and it just goes on and on. Hopefully next time you can get your medications way quicker so you don’t have as much anxiety!
I have been on a fertility road similar to yours, and I totally understand how you feel. I think you are doing fantastic. I just had my egg retrieval last Monday and I never thought this day could come. Trust me, you will get there

The medication was the most stressful part of IVF for me. Not even injecting myself, but all the pharmacies, the cost, the mixing, all the red tape. At one point I was using 4 pharmacies. In the end I switched to one walk-in specialty pharmacy near my house and went self pay. I couldn’t deal with CVS anymore. I hope you never feel alone in the Rachel. It’s not you or any of us, it’s the system.
Wow thank God I found this page!! I literally had my baseline appt today after being on birth control for 3 weeks. They said they found a cyst in one of my ovaries. Im still waiting to hear back from the doctor for my blood results to see if we can proceed or wait another month. Praying for both of us
Hey girlie, hang in there! CVS is the *worst* ! I transferred all my prescriptions other places bc their service is a joke and I’m finding they don’t stock meds like they used to. I’m in a chronic illness flare right now, starting a new 6 week treatment so I understand some of the pain and frustration you’re feeling. Praying for you and AJ and hope the extra week does the trick 💛
Praying for you--I know all too well this daunting process and how lonely and defeating it can feel. In regards to medication, you can look into Alto Pharmacy if your insurance will cover it through them. If I remember correctly they were a tad more expensive. It was worth it for us though. The IVF process is so time driven and it just saved us from not having to worry about medication availability or getting to us on time.
I am so proud of you for trying to actively getting ahead of your thoughts & stress. I can't imagine being in your shoes. Wanted to say this - I know you're a cat person BUT... I can't say enough good about getting a DOG. esp with trying to stay busy. & you will love them more than you can imagine. I love my cat but she just needs less from me (obviously). dogs are a lot of work but they give you back 10x that. hang in there & thanks for sharing

Honestly I know it feels like being a burden but I would insist on having them check if they have it before you leave and even ask them if you wait would they be willing to get it ready for you. If I am able, I will. But it definitely is very busy!!
Lol thanks for being real about your laundry habits, that maybe feels small and silly but I think it's something good to normalize! It's not good for our clothes' longevity to wash them too often and it's ultimately kind of wasteful of resources, especially since clothes are mostly not made to last these days. I don't wash my clothes if they still look and smell clean.
Have you watched Mac Dingle? She got all of her meds delivered right to her house. Never had an issue. Maybe see what pharmacy her clinic used. She’s in Maine, but maybe it’s national
My washing rule when it comes to workout clothes is when it gets sweaty, then it goes in the hamper lol (but I sweat an insane amount doing literally anything so for me that's like 1-2 workouts max😂)
With me usually I will sleep in workout clothes one or two nights and than workout in them. Which means by the time I workout they have already been worn.
You have to try the Mac and cheese from Barbacoa by finka in downtown Doral. It’s probably far from you but it might be a fun date night. The Mac and cheese comes with shredded short rib on top and it’s sooo yummmyyy

Cvs has a huge volume of prescriptions but also any corporate office likes a bare bones crew when it comes to pharmacies. Pharmacies aren’t as profitable as people assume but also the prescription process takes longer than people think because there’s multiple checks to ensure everything is right, insurances to process, and tons of incoming phone calls and customers walking up. Honestly 30 minutes isn’t bad. I used to work for Publix pharmacy and it was a fight to get enough help. 15-20 minutes was our minimum wait time and that was on a slow day.

I work from home so I get wearing an item of clothing a couple of times before washing it. Also, you and your relationship with God is so inspiring.
