Chance (not Adam Rupp) does the mouth harp in Constant Sorrow, and the guitar sound here and in Can't Stop the Feeling! I love his warm singing voice, too, in his first song with Home Free.
This was the first video they did with Chance as part of the group. He's in another video (House Party) when Chris was still with HF. 3 days and counting until I see them LIVE!!!! Praying we don't melt or get rained out.
I’m finding some of their older songs quite often but hadn’t heard House Party before. Thanks for the mention, it’s another great song. I saw them live last October and they are so much fun!! Fingers crossed that the weather stays nice for you!
I was kinda hoping that HP was going to be suggested with only the note that it was Chris era and watch Dillon freak out about chance being in the video as well as Chris
If I remember the banjo sounds are actually coming from Austin on a backtrack. They show it in a live performance. I always amazes me how much Austin can make himself sound like a guitar or a banjo and Adam Chance can sound like a mouth harp. They all blow my mind with their talent. Chance is wearing his SCS shirt (Street Corner Symphony), the band he was in before Home Free...so cute.
Pretty sure that’s Chance doing the banjo sound you credited to Adam Rupp. When Rob starts singing about the birds and the camera swings around the group to the right, it looks to me like Chance’s mouth matches the banjo sounds. He’s really good at that - did it in another song which I can’t bring to mind right now (they were on a boat in many of the shots).
Yes Chance made his Home Free singing debut in this one but as someone mentioned he appeares in their cover of Sam Hunt's "House Party" but in a non-singing role.
According to what the guys stated, the movie was watched & they thought it would be great to perform it for the Small Fries. And the cover was born in their own style.
It's really nice to see Chance smile--we don't get to see that too often. But I think he was happy (and maybe relieved?) his first video with his new group was going so well❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
No need to apologize for the emotion they evoke with their exceptional vocalization that makes you think instruments and insane harmonies are all happening at times you are not expecting or prepared to encounter as they bring the words alive in way you have never heard before. Their arrangements are sensationally good and they own the presentation in a new way that just wow you!!! They simply take a cover and make it new and make it better every time. ❣ The capability of excellence by each of the individuals in this group is off the charts awesome that allows them the flexibility to do so many types of vocalizations and to do it exceptionally well. Then top that off with their arrangements that augment the presentation to be "Home Free" owned. Very creative juices and exceptional produced music that keeps our hearts thumping along with smiles and feel good feelings....💟
I think it's a bit of a myth that Adam Chance is overlooked. He's had some great leads and a lot of shared leads and even for Austinfries like me he is a favorite. There is a recording of this at a live show where all the guys came on with giant animal heads. Adam Rupp was a dinosaur, and Adam Chance was a black cat. He got slightly annoyed when Austin tried to rub his ears lol. The From the Vault BTS is hilarious.
I think that Home Free can convey the emotion so well, especially with Happy songs. I think that's one of HF's greatest strengths. They don't need too much "show". The "simpleness" of many videos is therefore often enough. Just put them somewhere and they succeed. Their voices do the work. I love this song because all their voices come out so well here. I thought it was the first song with Chance. I think the choice to bring Chance into the group has been the best choice they could have made. He fits perfectly into the group. A really good addition. He has such a recognizable silky smooth and sexy voice. I can't really remember that he sings a piece at the same time as Tim like here. But it sure sounds great. In some songs they do sing the bassline together, which makes the bass even more penetrating. Yes, they all sang really well. This confirms to me why they are number one for me. Someone can have such a great voice, but if it doesn't really get to me, after a few songs I'll quickly turn it off. But I can really hear Home Free all day long. And what an unbelievably freaking good one that Adam is. What great vocal sounds he does here. Not normal how good. The number one beatboxer, the best of all!!!
Did you catch one of my favorite moments in this one that is quite rare? We've all heard Tim sing high. It happens at the end of Chance's solo verse where Tim comes in above and then Austin walks underneath them both and the high/low roles are reversed at the same time. Truly a unique moment and oh so fun. Talent in spades.
My grandson loves Home Free and this song, he has cp and has difficulties doing things that we take for granted but this song tells him that as long as he does his best, thats ok and to keep trying ❤🏴
This is one of my favorite upbeat one for me since it’s such a bop and positive, and Chance’s first video as an official Home Free member! Love his voice very much! I haven’t checked out your Home Free playlist, but you should check out their “Can’t Stop the Feeling” video, too! It’s a party and lots of stuff going on! Really, really good! Love your reactions very much!
Even if you don't react to it, you NEED to see the "From the Vault" episode for this video. It's just adorable! And so are you . :D Thank you for such a fun reaction.
Cancer took my 17 year old daughter the year before Zootopia came out and she would have definitely wanted to see that movie. And she would have absolutely loved this particular song because she was all about trying everything. I have a suspicion that she would have really enjoyed Home Free. She was not your typical teenager.
This has given me strength and courage when I've needed it. And at same time it's so much fun. The guys really come through on this one. Well they pretty much ALWAYS do. 😍
Thought you'd like to know that Home Free is premiering a cover of The Horses with Travis Collins and Amy Sheppard that they recorded when they were in Australia. It will go live at 5:00 p.m. CDT tomorrow.
Thanks for reacting to this older song. I love it! These guys are so talented. And Adam's beatboxing is awesome as usual. The song has a great message. It's okay to make mistakes if you can learn from them. This was Chance's first video with Home Free. I recently watched the animated movie "Zootopia" where this song is from. Very cute film. I like Home Free's version of the song better than Shakira's.
I always enjoy your reactions, you are obviously very passionate about music! I love Home Free so much, they have become my favorite group these last couple of years! I hope to see you continue to do more of HF in the near future!
This was actually the very first video that Chance sang. He had been in other video's prior to this one. It could have been Chance making the banjo part not sure. You really need to watch the From The Vault one of this. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.
I love this song by Home Free so much! They just nailed it like they do everything! Vocal chameleons, yes, that's what they are. lol! First solo part Chance to do started here. He was awesome as always! The best, man Adam Rupp is incredible! I just watched one of my favorite HF Austin Brown leads and harmonies to die for -- Crazy. Have you done that? I missed it if you did. So many great ones left for you to do. How about One Man Band? Wow, harmonies on that one, and everyone gets a part to shine! Take care, I just love your reactions!
Since they made this for their "small fries," someone said they probably wanted the kids to recognize it and put that acknowledgement at the beginning so kids would know this is something they could learn to do. You may or may not have noticed that Adam Rupp was singing at the end.
I seem to recall that the guys did this song for their young fans, the “small fries”. Home Free can sing ANYTHING. **Sorry, I wrote this before the end of the video **
Been waiting for this reaction since I found this channel. I love love LOVE HF's rendition of this song and love seeing various reactors' impressions of it. Great reaction! Cheers!
This is such an uplifting song/video. I thought it was Austin doing the guitar parts as it usually is him, but as others have said, its Chance in this one. In the cover of Ed Sheeran 'Castle on the Hill', Austin sounds like a guitar while Chance sings.
awesome reaction.....i haven't heard this one for awhile, and it is very very good....I agree with you on Adam. I have heard what he can do, but eventhough I have listened to the alot, and seen them live...it still impresses me....His harmonica in "Man of Constant Sorrow", still amazes me as to how accurate it is.
If you think his harmonica in "Man of Constant Sorrow" was amazing, you've got to see/hear his harmonica solo in "Ain't Goin' Down Till the Sun Comes Up".
@@mikemabrey2182 Thank you for the recommendation.....just watched, and it was awesome. Adam has definitely improved the harmonica since then. so cool. Song and video was awesome as well.
This is a great cover for sure. If possible, PLEASE try to see their new tube out July 28...its an Australian classic and as an American, I'd like to know your thoughts on the guys doin one of your classics.
First I have to say how happy it makes when I see a new video of yours on my feed, especially when it's HF. Personally I would think it was Austin or Chance doing the banjo sound. One of them usually does the guitar type sounds that are layered into their songs. In fact I would guess it was Chance because he was new to the group at this time and they probably wanted to show him off. It sounds very similar to the guitar sound he made in "Can't Stop That Feeling". Adam doesn't usually layer different sounds on his tracks. I've heard it only when he does something like the harmonica so the beatboxing can continue while he's doing it. I think he's very careful so he can't be accused of using tricks or cheating with his beatboxing. Although, I still could be wrong. I'm sure someone on here probably knows who it is. Thanks for another amazing video!
I hadn't heard this song before! this is great! OH! and i just heard a live VP song Elvira - soo funny! here is the title: Voiceplay - Elvira - Gordon Performance Center, Owings Mills, MD Jan 23, 2020
I love their rendition of this song - it's simply perfect. I don't know if you've ever watched their series "from the vault" - episode 1 of the series is the behind the scenes filming of "Try Everything" ua-cam.com/video/G2OALqOKxC4/v-deo.html. I truly think the people filming the videos must think they're herding stray cats - wildly talented, funny ones - but stray cats nonetheless.
Chance (not Adam Rupp) does the mouth harp in Constant Sorrow, and the guitar sound here and in Can't Stop the Feeling! I love his warm singing voice, too, in his first song with Home Free.
I love that Chance is wearing a SCS shirt. He left Street Corner Symphony to join Home Free. This is their first song with him.
This was the first video they did with Chance as part of the group. He's in another video (House Party) when Chris was still with HF. 3 days and counting until I see them LIVE!!!! Praying we don't melt or get rained out.
Im seeing them in 3 days too! As long as it isn’t too Hades out or we’ve got another air warning 🙄 yay!
Awesome can't wait to hear a 1st hand report. I saw them for the 3rd time back in April. They are awesome 👍👍👍
I’m finding some of their older songs quite often but hadn’t heard House Party before. Thanks for the mention, it’s another great song. I saw them live last October and they are so much fun!! Fingers crossed that the weather stays nice for you!

Adam Chance is making that noise...love my Boys 🏡🆓🏡🍟..as always I love your reactions 💕💕💕
I think they did this because of the message for the "small fries." These guys love to spread positive vibes!
Pretty sure that’s Chance doing the banjo sound you credited to Adam Rupp. When Rob starts singing about the birds and the camera swings around the group to the right, it looks to me like Chance’s mouth matches the banjo sounds. Yes, that’s the one! Thanks.

Look for Chance in the hotel bathrobe in House Party - and note that it makes another appearance in Can’t Stop the Feeling at the boat party!
According to what the guys stated, the movie was watched & they thought it would be great to perform it for the Small Fries. And the cover was born in their own style.
I love that they still sing this at their concerts. It gets everyone on their feet.
I so love Chance's harmonizes thoughout this whole song....his smooth voice is just so amazing.
Heaven is jealous of Earth because of these guys. ❤🤩
Adam Rupp is A Two Time Beat Box Champion. He's Incredible. Love These Talented Guys!!
Love your reaction. They still sing this on their live shows.
It’s a fun one for the “small fry’s”. Pretty cute. Both Adams were stellar. Good one DJ!😄

I think it was at the Minneapolis Zoo MN That is so them to have fun at all times

Definitely so much fun
Chance is making those "banjo" noises Adam Rupp has everything else except bass.. love this song
They like to consider the different age levels in their fan base. Great message for the kids!
You need to watch "cover me up"... chance takes the whole lead.. and the ending is so sweet and heartwarming
This song makes me so happy... I love these boys so much 💕💕💕🏡🆓🏡🍟
Have you watched “Finally Free” yet?
Similar simple video, but with Chance in the lead.
I bet the banjo is Adam Chance because he does something similar in another video
I love their rendition of this song and have played it countless times as it makes me happy. Can't wait for your reactions to it. 🙂
Have you listened to Adam Rupp's drum solo .will blow your mind .
They sound great doing this live too! Thanks for a great reaction! 😀❤️

Agreed! The harmony is so good with the boys!

I always enjoy your reactions, you are obviously very passionate about music! I love Home Free so much, they have become my favorite group these last couple of years! I hope to see you continue to do more of HF in the near future!
They did a version with Shakira, too. Chance with a shirt from his previous group, Street Corner Symphony.
With Home Free, please do Try Everything.

"Wake me Up" was the first video they made between when they won the Sing Off and when it was shown on TV.

This one is so much fun when they do it in concert! Just a blast.

The message after the song is awesome😊

The mouth harp sound (not banjo) is Chance
This is so very awesome! These guys can do anything! Love your reaction!

The behind the scenes was great!!! Robs baby was there and they were all playing with the baby
Pretty sure the baby is Rowan Zamber -- Reilly and McKenzie (The Hound + the Fox)'s oldest.

Excellent reaction
I loved this! They have such great vocal control.
They do a great job with this song. In the blood is another cover where Chance gets to shine
I think, but don't quote me... This might have been first vid with Chance.
