The people who've been watching the lobby for years get the dynamic. We've lived through all their "sweaty try-hard" phases and now we're in the era of enjoying all the history of inside jokes, and casual gaming. They've almost all met up IRL on several occasions, they're like virtual family to an extent. It doesn't make sense to me when people get so parasocial or meta about it. Like, just sit back and be entertained by it. Imagine if someone was sitting behind you while you played Uno with your family/close friends on a camping trip, and they were commentating like. The whole time. About your play style, or about the way you're talking to your literal sister? I'd be ticked off too. Like calm down bro you don't get it, they're just having fun.
I mean it's all good but it can't be nonstop trolling either because then there's no point trying. It's similar to the deafen wars. It's funny every once in a while but it sucks for those who are trying. They're not just trying to win they're trying to make a youtube video lol. If your perfect snitch or arsonist game gets ruined by trolling you'll be pretty sad about it. This is no slight on dk, I personally think he's hilarious and adds spice. Steve was in O2 at the time of the kill. Scott was in Weapons/Comms. There were no footsteps of either of them. Baycon got that kill as the Juggernaut. Interesting how he also got away with blatantly killing in storage. But yeah Dumbdog tunneling on Scott and Steve ruined their game.
That's what annoys me about him. Sometimes he gets it right for all of the wrong reasons and it's just unfortunate that he is indeed right purely by accident.
Also remember the game is about “incomplete information”. Impostors would never win if crew always make the right decision. Crewmates seldom get mad if impostors win by fooling with incorrect info a Crewmate into voting wrong. But there seems to a much higher frustration when a Crewmate is fooled and uses incorrect information to vote out an IMPOSTOR.

Mostly the ones who are dead and can't influence the vote, or who gave some vital piece of correct info that was then forgotten about after they died. You even see it here sometimes with DumbDog.
this is why i hate the executioner role. Players either try hard to get the target out and make it obvious (like ellum does) or do nothing and win by chance. it's just a dumb wildcard role

At least with jester if you frame a jester they’ll act kind of weird cuz they WANT to be voted, so people can catch on and avoid it. With exe, the only way to tell if you framed an exe target is if the exe goes suspiciously far with your accusation, and they usually won’t cuz you’re doing all the work for them. It sucks. It only works in TOS cuz it doesn’t end the game and evils can still win lol.
Personally, I do find it weird that people in the comment sections are now acting as if they don't understand why SOME "hate on" (read: often criticize, rarely full on hate) DK as if he doesn't sometimes showcase some OTT behavior from time to time or react harshly/end his streams over some random situations. Even with that, dude still doesn't get nearly as much weird, actual hate as Hafu, Gumi, or more recently Koji, and people rarely ask for him not to be a part of the group as they do with Junk. He's valued and appreciated, so it does suck that a few people who hate on him made him give that response but he's also not wrong about VIEWERS taking the games too seriously. There does seem to be an uprise in that viewer behavior in the comments and on twitch, especially in certain members' chats, and they're rarely checked for it.
The hate on Gumi, in particular, is just weird. The accusations of cheating don't makes sense, as far as I can tell she's just good at the game. Hafu gets hate because she is such a strong personality and can get a bit too invested in the games sometimes. She can also be a bit tone death sometimes, completely miss the joke or that something was sarcasm. I haven't noticed it as much with the others.
@@whossname4399 It's pretty crazy because Hafu's been a lot more chill about the game since they restarted the lobbies over a year ago but people are still using things against her from a long time ago (like meta sus, which hasn't been a hard rule in forever.) I don't think I've ever seen her be genuinely salty over a game since the reunion either (the closest is probably when she was Juggernaut and got voted off after she was meta-sussed by DumbDog because of the doors, but she was laughing about it and calling DumbDog dumb), but people are still acting like she takes the game as seriously as she used to.
It may be because some (like me) aren’t able to watch the streams often so just watch the compilations here. So any info like toxic chatters, etc isn’t going to be known just from watching the videos
dk was mostly annoying before because he was bad at the game and super confident anyway, so he was constantly throwing and ruining matches. Now he seems much better at it, and can make actually big brain plays, so he doesn't bother me anymore. The trolling is fine, it adds some much-needed levity to what can be a stressful game. It's actually funny that dk talks about his haters hating when he wins. All I wanted was for you to win, man! I was annoyed because you kept losing!

I just disagree about Junkyard's movement. Yeah, he moves like a freak, but he ALWAYS moves like a freak, even as crew. It's like everyone in the lobby is just imaginary meta-sussing him for nothing.
he always moves like a freak but it has a different feel when he is imposter, like he goes under storage alot when he is crew but always has the intention of going somewhere else but when he is imposter it feels like he is either trying to hide or find someone to kill. So it his pathing may be the same, but his movement feels very imposter-ish. When Junk gets sussed out for his movement most of the time it's right, they can just sense that he is movement is different, without being able to pinpoint why.

DK being confidently incorrect is one of the best things about watching DK. It's less fun watching DumbDog be wrong, because he acts like he's right and doesn't always get corrected for it. I just think people need to look at the VICTORY/DEFEAT screen at the end of each game to get a better understanding of what actually happened.
I do think Junk moves WORSE as killer, but he definitely still moves wildly as crewmate. It reminds me of Ilyssa's "Understanding The Lion" video where she tracked Lion's insane pathing for quite a few rounds in a row until she understood Lion's personal pathing

I am not a fan of DK. I try to skip all his portions of the videos so I don't have to watch. But it's difficult since he takes up most of the discussion time every meeting and completely derails it. I just feel bad for Junkyard. I'd love to see him get to play more, but unfortunately DK incorrectly gets him voted out half the time, and the other half he's just dead before round 3.

The rate I read the comments goes from a rarely to never. But, in a content prespective, if people are leaving comments (as long as it's not scams or something idiotic like racism), that's engagement. That's great for any channel. Feeds the algorythm. If people are having their own lil wars on who's a better\worse player? Who cares, engagement.
Still, circling back. If I remember this correctly, it's kinda the third time you posted that DK toxic clip. First time is a PSA, 2nd time is a ok, just in case someone missed it, 3rd time is berating. If there's a 4th time, I'm dipping out. Even when xchoco had a small meltdown over her chat being toxic to her because of her gameplay choices, the AUA video only had one PSA telling people to chill and be respectful.
