I just did the complete conversion (Headlights, Morimoto Foglights, Reverse, Cargo, and License Plate Lights). 2014 Tundra 4WD SR5. Everything worked great and was an excellent upgrade. I only had two small issues. 1. The Morimoto Foglights required a hybid of the OEM and the Morimoto mounting brackets in order to get them to fit correctly. 2. My Tundra had the 3 wire blinker harness (White/Black-Purple-Pink). I followed the HR video on repinning the harness. When completed, my dash lights flickered and followed the sequence of the blinker when the headlights were off. I contacted HR Tech Line and they advised me to unpin the purple wire in the middle on both harnesses. This resolved the issue! Not sure why they don't reference this in their UA-cam videos but the HR Tech Line was a great resource. Keep that in mind when buying aftermarket products. Thank you HR! I will definitely buy from you guys in the future. I hope this helps some of you considering this conversion.

Just replaced my lights today with HR OEM LED lights. The video was a great help and the truck looks great. Much more light than the standard lights. I'm very satisfied!
So my turn signals have the 3 wires and I read that I need to unplug the purple all together and put white on one side and pink on the other. Is that true?

I am having issues with the lights and I believe it is due to the amber DRL's (Turn signal bulbs that are also DRL's) being on when headlights are off on my 2015 SR5 and also saw that someone had said to not re-pin the purple wire. Basically with headlights off some of my dash lights are on and flash with turn signal, if driving lights or headlights are on everything functions as normal
I just did this upgrade to my 2020 sr5 crewmax. 2 things that differ are the plug in the grill for the safety sense needs to be disconnected/ reconnected and there's no need to repin the turn signal as the plug is sealed in the 3rd slot so I just plugged in the 2 pin factory plug and it worked with no issues to report.

Best lighting upgrade on the 3rd gen Tundra. High improvement over stock halogen, and nothing touches the high beams for mountain driving. Add in Toyota reliability and this is the go-to lighting upgrade.
I been trying to afford them for my ‘14 1794. You’re right about the factory halogen ones making the truck look dated. I can’t wait to get Oem led for the not only the looks but also the safety because they are brighter than the stock halogen
jaysmooth6103 oh yeah for sure. Best prices I found for the headlights were from Sparks Toyota. They have other tundra parts as well so you could pick up the fog lights at the same time. Last thing you would need is the wiring harness from headlight revolution. All in all I think it was 700 ish for the whole combo including new led fogs with harness.
I just got oem LED and harness.its working Like a charl! Great detailed video! I suggest making a video of the front turn signal LED upgrade with the equalizing resistors for the Tundra.
Just installed them today on my 15 5.7 Tundra, they look nice, but not that bright tho, I mean they gave clean light, but isn't very bright. But I liked the high beam, gives you very clean spot!
I skipped the part where you have to rewire the turn signals and the amber lights were constantly on. I thought that was normal until one of them stopped working a could days after install. Took the plug out and it was melted. Looking back at this video I realize I messed up. Thanks!
Even though it took a month and a half for them to come in ( because of a dysfunctional part) I think it was worth it. Next mod for my tundra is the NSV Light bar !

In the factory halogen headlamp the low beam and high beam are the same bulb so the low beam turns off when the high beam is on. Does this harness bypass that and allow the low beam to be on while high beam is in use?
Wow I didn't re pin my lights I have the 3 pong ..my turn signal bulbs where always on so no it would get too hott..I'ma try and see what happens=update they do work but you do have to change your 2016 turn signal bulbs to 12v28/8w ..or leds

Where does the extra cable with the fuse end go that came in my conversion harness package for headlights w/o led drls? Everything else is working perfectly so I just need to know where to plug that. Thanks!
Never mind, I found the answer after searching other comments from previous questions. I’ll try and switch the fuse and tie down the extra cables tomorrow. Not a lot of extra work but I may not have purchased if I knew I had to mess with the fuse box. If all goes well maybe I’ll give the fog lights a go. That install looked like a lot more work though.
The only reason for the passenger halogen headlight to be that way is because it isn't an OEM headlamp. I've seen it time and time again where aftermarket replacement i.e. DEPO or the like have poor beam pattern.
Not sure what you are getting at her at all, but the only brands that we use for those OEM housings are ones sold directly from Toyota, we carry the TYC brand and the actual OEM Headlights, both sold directly from Toyota! Let us know if you have any other questions, have a great day!
@@HeadlightRevolution the halogen passenger headlamp didn't perform like how it should with the H4 bulb. It should have had a good cut off and diagonal up to the right. I would doubt it was an OEM headlamp. The OE replacement headlamps I've experienced with never had the same quality beam pattern as OEM headlamps. There are hot spots, narrow beam and even glare on some. Not to be confused with the LED headlamps you guys installed. I'm talking about the halogen passenger headlamp that had a goofy beam pattern.
Maybe you have a differrent headlight, but these are the halogen bulbs in the OEM halogen reflector housing! Thanks for commenting, let us know if you have any questions!
@@HeadlightRevolution I'm referring to the headlamps in your video before you swapped them to the LEDs. At 8:30 & 9:30 in your video it shows the poor beam pattern of the right headlamp. If you made sure the bulb was seated properly as demonstrated, then that right hand headlamp that was on that Tundra was probably not OEM.
I can assure you that was the OEM 1794 Edition halogen headlight, with the OEM halogen bulb installed! It is literally that big of a difference, that OEM LED quality is just hard to beat! Thank you for your time, let u sknow if you have any other questions!

I purchased these headlights as well as the harness. There’s a 4 pin connector that’s supposedly plugged into the stock headlights in order to provide power to the new headlights but there is only 4 connections on the stock headlights not 5 so where is this 5th connector located on a 2014 tundra

Have mine apart as we speak and thought I had everything needed with both H126 and the H126.1 harnesses. Everything was going great till I got to the plug in of headlight. I ordered the Auxbeam H4 LED headlights and now have a connection issue from your harness to the new bulbs. I believe I'm missing a H4 connection piece of some kind between new bulb and your harness. Anybody know what it is I'm missing before calling???
The H126 and H126.1 harness are for converting to the OEM LED headlight assemblies. If you're looking to install those H4 LED bulbs, those will plug into your factory wiring with no extra wiring harnesses. Give us a call, and we can help you out further with this! 218 755 5200
I have a 2014 sr5 non led, will this harness dim the drl if I install 2018 trd pro headlights when the headlights are turned on? Or will they stay full bright ?
The Lux numbers are only used in relation to the other bulbs in the same test in one video. You can't compare them from one video to the other because it's not a controlled environment. If the light source was placed just 2 feet further or closer away from the test wall in one video to the next, the ratings will be different. The Lux ratings represent a percent change more than a rating of brightness in and of themselves.
So if you need to use the DRL harness you don't connect the 4 pin power plug as seen in this video?.......you install the piggyback fuse adapter from the DRL harness and then plug the DRL adapter plug into that 4 pin connector on the conversion harness instead of the original 4 pin power plug from the truck ?
Not sure what 4-pin plug you are referring too, but if you do not have DRLs from the factory, all you will need to do is install that fuse tap harness. If you have the DRL strip from the factory, then you will not need that fuse tap harness! Let us know if you have any other questions, have a great day!
At 4:15.....you show the conversion harness going to the 4 pin power connector from the truck. Then the other end of the harness going to the new headlight. If you have to use the additional DRL harness as per that additional video it's states that you just plug it into the conversion harness. If you follow the instructions in this video there are no open connectors on the conversion harness to plug the DRL harness into. So where would you plug the separate fuse tap DRL connector into the conversion harness as seen in that supplemental video?

I just installed these on mine and and ran in to the same thing. After setting the high beam switch forward it engages automatically at speeds above 26 or momentarily on with the lever towards you.
@Lulu Robichaux if his truck has “Daytime Running Lights” factory installed he shouldn’t need the harness. These lights should be plug & play with the 1794
What part numbers specifically do I need, to upgrade the regular turn signal bulbs in the 2018-up housings to LED? The website isnt very clear on this, or does the kit for the 2014-2017 work (the 2018-up bulb style is different).
I just bought the headlights, conversion harness and drl adapter. 17 limited. I was told I will have to use the add a fuse to an ignition slot in the fuse box by battery. Does that sound correct?

These were the Chrome ones. The Black ones look to be Solid Black, but the performance is still the same as the Dark Chrome ones! If you are looking for a more aggressive look, I would choose Black.

So I really am into looks, but as far as headlights go, I need brightness because I'm having a harder time seeing at night. What would you recommend as far as getting as much light out there as possible? Ive got a 2016 SR5, I do like the adjustable headlight feature as I do tow a load at times. Help me make up my mind, my money is going to you guys, I would just like your opinion because honestly, I'm getting information overload hah

You get the High/Low beam LED upgrade, the Appearance upgrade, and the DRL upgrade all at once! Just installed yesterday on my 2017 Platinum and the turn signal went crazy , it’s blinking rapidly just like when a bulb is missing. Did anybody experienced this?
sandor hajdu did you install LED bulb blinkers ? If not then maybe you should recheck the pinning of the black and white wire in the turn signal harness

I am sorry to say that those headlights will not work on the 2021 model Tundra, they are for up to the 2018 Model trucks. Wish I had a better answer for you, sorry about that!

I had the same issue with my radio unit blinking when I put on the turn signal. I unplugged the purple wire and it fixed the issue.

@@christph3118 SR5 trim line came with Halogen headlights with one led strip on the bottom for daylight running.

These are the only way to go for upgrade..replacing my spyder projector drls for these and makes a huge difference both function and appearance.

Yes, if you re-watch the video, at the 7:10 mark, he installs the connector to the power motor that adjusts the beam up and down.

I think the mean 14-17 not 2018. In 2018 they started using led DRLs on the sr5. So No harness necessary

I would doubt it was an OEM headlamp. The OE replacement headlamps I've experienced with never had the same quality beam pattern as OEM headlamps. There are hot spots, narrow beam and even glare on some.
Not to be confused with the LED headlamps you guys installed. I'm talking about the halogen passenger headlamp that had a goofy beam pattern.
Maybe you have a differrent headlight, but these are the halogen bulbs in the OEM halogen reflector housing! Thanks for commenting, let us know if you have any questions!
@@HeadlightRevolution I'm referring to the headlamps in your video before you swapped them to the LEDs. At 8:30 & 9:30 in your video it shows the poor beam pattern of the right headlamp. If you made sure the bulb was seated properly as demonstrated, then that right hand headlamp that was on that Tundra was probably not OEM.
I can assure you that was the OEM 1794 Edition halogen headlight, with the OEM halogen bulb installed! It is literally that big of a difference, that OEM LED quality is just hard to beat! Thank you for your time, let u sknow if you have any other questions!

I purchased these headlights as well as the harness. There’s a 4 pin connector that’s supposedly plugged into the stock headlights in order to provide power to the new headlights but there is only 4 connections on the stock headlights not 5 so where is this 5th connector located on a 2014 tundra

How come the sr5 2018+ only have the led outline in the lower half. Is the whole led illumination on higher end models?
Yes, that is correct. The 1794 and Platinums come with the full LED assemblies for the 2018s. I believe in 2019, all trims come with these headlights.

Have mine apart as we speak and thought I had everything needed with both H126 and the H126.1 harnesses. Everything was going great till I got to the plug in of headlight. I ordered the Auxbeam H4 LED headlights and now have a connection issue from your harness to the new bulbs. I believe I'm missing a H4 connection piece of some kind between new bulb and your harness. Anybody know what it is I'm missing before calling???
The H126 and H126.1 harness are for converting to the OEM LED headlight assemblies. If you're looking to install those H4 LED bulbs, those will plug into your factory wiring with no extra wiring harnesses.

Why do you say the stock headlight produces 460 lux in this video, but 610 lux in your V.4 LED Headlight video?
460lux is from the halogen bulb
The Lux numbers are only used in relation to the other bulbs in the same test in one video. You can't compare them from one video to the other because it's not a controlled environment. If the light source was placed just 2 feet further or closer away from the test wall in one video to the next, the ratings will be different. The Lux ratings represent a percent change more than a rating of brightness in and of themselves.

So if you need to use the DRL harness you don't connect the 4 pin power plug as seen in this video?.......you install the piggyback fuse adapter from the DRL harness and then plug the DRL adapter plug into that 4 pin connector on the conversion harness instead of the original 4 pin power plug from the truck ?
Not sure what 4-pin plug you are referring too, but if you do not have DRLs from the factory, all you will need to do is install that fuse tap harness. If you have the DRL strip from the factory, then you will not need that fuse tap harness! Let us know if you have any other questions, have a great day!
At 4:15.....you show the conversion harness going to the 4 pin power connector from the truck. Then the other end of the harness going to the new headlight.
If you have to use the additional DRL harness as per that additional video it's states that you just plug it into the conversion harness.
If you follow the instructions in this video there are no open connectors on the conversion harness to plug the DRL harness into. So where would you plug the separate fuse tap DRL connector into the conversion harness as seen in that supplemental video?

No, these headlights have not been modified at all. Did you by the OEM LED headlights, or aftermarket. These are the LED headlights that are made by Toyota.

The original motors can be swapped over. For a turn signal upgrade if you use the i-LED bulbs you will not need resistors.

You will need the conversion harness, if you have the basic halogen headlights you will need the DRL harness as well.
How do you get the low beam to stay on with the high?
I just installed these on mine and and ran in to the same thing. After setting the high beam switch forward it engages automatically at speeds above 26 or momentarily on with the lever towards you.

I just bought the headlights, conversion harness and drl adapter. 17 limited. I was told I will have to use the add a fuse to an ignition slot in the fuse box by battery. Does that sound correct?
Yes that is correct, It’s very straightforward. It’s a 10amp fuse labeled Ignition.

These were the Chrome ones. The Black ones look to be Solid Black, but the performance is still the same as the Dark Chrome ones! If you are looking for a more aggressive look, I would choose Black.

So I really am into looks, but as far as headlights go, I need brightness because I'm having a harder time seeing at night. did you install LED bulb blinkers ? If not then maybe you should recheck the pinning of the black and white wire in the turn signal harness

I have a 2019 SR5 Crewmax with the regular headlights. My question is I know on the 2014-17 you need the conversion harness. Do I need it for a 19?

I am sorry to say that those headlights will not work on the 2021 model Tundra, they are for up to the 2018 Model trucks. Wish I had a better answer for you, sorry about that!
