I did this install today on my 2019 Tundra TRD Pro and I felt the hardest part was running the 6 pin wire harness thru the firewall. (I decided to send 3 wires at a time to make it easier)
I was doing n install one of these n it's not working, why would he cut the (blue) wire that feeds signal power to the turn signal, instructions say the opposite of what this guy did, I gotta try n figure out what I missed tomorrow morning, any input would be highly appreciated 😊
I'm just starting my build on my Tundra while still trying to not break the bank, and when I saw this I thought I hit the jackpot, but I cannot lie, it's quite the cost. But more so reasonably priced due to quality and plug and play, definitely will be putting on my truck. (Not for another year or so), hoping that I remember.
Can’t wait for you guys to come out for one for the 2020, picking up my tundra tomorrow, pricey light bar however just from your video alone, everything looks absolute quality, the video alone was done very very well and you went through every step, ignore all the haters who say it’s too expensive, if you want to get a $100 light bar and slap it in there, that’s all you, if you want a light bar that’ll look fully oem with custom switches and a high quality product, this seems to be the way to go, will definitely purchase one as soon as it comes out
Amazing light. The price is a little harsh, but i guess since it installs so easily and it does look factory, it makes sense. Great installation video. I find it funny that some people mess up on this installation when everything is labeled with numbers. Read people and take your time installing a $1,000 light bar.
Very well made video! I was thinking about selling my current 2014 Tundra TRD DC (with a ton of mods, Kings, etc) for a 2021 TRD Pro CrewMax for more interior room. If I do I'll be buying this. Those that complain about the price need to wake up! Great price for all this!
Geeezzz, it does look great i admit, mostly just on, not sliding left to right, but what this hood scoop air opening came down to be used for. They really suppose to be covered on road, they not suppose to release inspection sticker if not for obvious reasons.... It is really nice sleek spot for offroad trucks light, instead of ugly retrofit box on roof, i'll give it that
This is absolutely a must have if I owned a2019/ 2020 Tundra! Only thing....too much trouble in the installation process! I would pay you to have it done! Since if I had already spend a $1000 why not spend another few$$hundred buck to avoid all that headache!
I am not sure on that, this is a harness and product made by the company NSV Lighting, you will have to check with them if you are wondering why they designed something in a certain way! Have a great day!
I was doing n install one of these n it's not working, why would he cut the (blue) wire that feeds signal power to the turn signal, instructions say the opposite of what this guy did, I gotta try n figure out what I missed tomorrow morning, any input would be highly appreciated 😊
Came hear just to get a reply from the company about how people afford things that are important to them. Im a tundra owner, they are crap off road. Majority of these trucks will never leave pavement. Lights are offroad use only. If a thousand dollar off road light is important to anyone with a "off road" vehicle with 2 open diffs. Save that money for a lsd, or a starter, or tires,or air bags, or a bed cover, or a new driveshaft, or seat covers, or a decent sound system, or better brakes.
These questions may be better directed to NSV, The company that makes the light bar kit. We followed the latest instructions from them when making this video and everything turned out great!
This install is crazy....after paying $1k for the light bar ...it should come with free install. Imagin messing something up during install...now your out $1k and the extra cost to repair any mistakes. I love the light bar I just wish the price and the install become more buyed friendly. Hopefully they have a sale soon.
I bought mine at a discount during July 4th week... Came out to around $850 or so... I have gotten compliments on It also. This light bar isn't for the "average Joe".
I just installed this 100% correctly, light bar works perfect ! However , my taillights and license plate lights are not working as they should at night. Only the blinker and brake lights work in the back. Front side marker bulbs are off as well, when they are suppose to stay on as well at night. Any ideas what could be the problem ? Thanks

Great video. I have ordered this. I have a 2019 tundra TRD pro. Question: 1). Do I need to cut the blue wire on mine? I’m not sure if my headlights are considered LEDs. 2). My switch power panel looks different from the panel you showed in this video with the “security” - will this model fit my truck?
It states that this will fit a 2020 in the title and I loved it, but when I went to the link it says it won't fit my Tundra cause of a new switch panel. Make this work....
The 2020's have a slightly different switch panel design, and that's the only difference. NSV is currently working on a set up that will allow this bar to fit the 2020s!
So I hooked mines up today and it's blowing the fuse for the rear lights is it because I didn't cut the blue wire I have a 2018 tundra with factory LED lights help please
Please make available for 2020+ Platinum (those auxiliaries are different which I assume is why it’s not yet available) in AMBER and I’ll buy it yesterday. Seriously though, please!
Completed my install today, fishing the wires wasn't nearly as easy as you made it look but I got it done, fit and finish is impeccable and wiring harnesses are OEM quality, video is far more comprehensive than the booklet. I decided to use the 3 in 1 switch instead of the replacement panel, it was more inconspicuous and less ostentatious, more simple cleaner look. Very very impressed with the quality of this product NOTE: The 3-in-1 also requires the red and blue wires to be clipped to the cigarette lighter harness, the booklet doesn't mention this specifically
No you will flip it on. Key Features: 1: Lock and unlock function: scanning/swipe effect 2: Accent Lights: Daytime running mode for road use and increased visibility 3: Full light bar function 4: Scanning/Swipe (Knight Rider Style) function 5: Disable DRL Function
Excellent video! I saw on another video from HR that these NSV lightbars can do a very quick flashing mode. I just bought and installed these but I didn’t see how you can enter the quick flashing mode where all the lights flash quickly. How do you get that functionality?
You’re paying for the additional features and plug and play integration with this kit, Along with the bar itself which fits perfectly in the opening. It is spendy and not for everyone, I’m glad you found a good option for you!
Do I have to cut that blue wire on my 2017 tundra? I upgraded from Halogen headlights to LED headlights, and used that harness wiring to upgrade my headlights.
I have the NSV knight rider bar. I installed new LED headlights: now when I turn the truck off & lock it the light doesn't go back and forth. I didn't touch anything on the lightbar and to note every thing else works correctly. Any ideas why?
I do not recommend an LED or HID kit for Headlight use, as they are not DOT Compliant and are not Legal for Street-Use. If you wish to upgrade your Headlights, I would suggest looking into a Brighter or more White-Colored Halogen bulb setup like Philips or Osram, which are DOT-Compliant. If your vehicle is Strictly Off-Road use only, or along the lines of a Privately used Farm truck, then you may upgrade the Headlights, as they are not being used on Public roads/areas. If you have any Questions for me, please email us directly and we'd be happy to help out where we can. Sales@HeadlightRevolution.com
I have a 2020 Tundra TRD Sport. My stock panel has 3 USB ports along with the 12 volt plug, etc. Those 3 USB ports are exactly where the lightbar switches would be. Would I have to lose one of my USB ports? Is there a new panel available? Also (I'm just wondering), why does the blue wire on the turn signal plug need to be cut?
Unfortunately that light bar is not out for the 2020 Tundra, but when it is you will not have to lose those USB plug ins when installing the light bar!
Is there a way to turn off the “drl” on the light bar? It looks a bit silly and with the headlights already being bright on their own, the extra lights on the light bar might be a bit extensive.

Running boards, remote start, and tonneau cover, all for the price of these lights. As George Bush senior used to say "Not gonna do it. Wouldn't be prudent."
(1) You just reminded me of Dana Carvey! (2) Why can't cars & trucks just have light bars instead of two separate headlights? Or brake/taillights for that matter?
Do they have a cheaper model that is one solid lit light bar? I don't need the DRL or the scanning lights. A single switch will do and without all those T-harnesses
Excellent installation! Excellent light bar. Im getting a 2021 limited in about 3 weeks. Im wondering if they bothered making the needed changes to fit the last year Tundra before the redesign, and if so, can I drive to Atlanta and have you do the install? The trip will be much quicker than installing it myself.
Need help! Followed this to the T. Have a 2016 and upgraded the headlights to the new OEM 2019 lights. Light bar works but now I get the hyper flash on my left turn signal and won’t even turn on. Also, my fog lights won’t turn on now. Thoughts?
The center part will only light with the outer parts, that is not designed to have the center on otherwise. Let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help!
Considering this light for my 2019 Tundra. I've looked through the comments to see if anyone else asked about the "street legal" question. Meaning, has anyone had any problems running with the light bar on, while driving on city streets? Are people flashing lights back at you for "high beaming" annoyance? Just curious if anyone has experienced any of this. Thanks in advance for any feedback.
I have a 2016 1794 and I upgraded my halogen headlights to OEM led headlights using the plug and play harness from you guys. Do I still need to cut the blue wire or any wire?
You will need to cut that blue wire if you do not have a Non-DRL 14-17 SR5 Tundra, otherwise you will be good to go! Let us know if you have any other questions, have a great day!
If you leave it connected you will have issues with the NSV light bar functionality. Certain trim level Tundras need it, Others don’t. There would be no benefit to leaving it connected.
@@HeadlightRevolution my next question I have a 2014 Toyota tundra crewmax flex-fuel 5.7. mine is an SR5 that just has heavier suspension. The problem I have found is I want to go to aftermarket headlight with a smoked lens and a Halo or A lash. However the factory Platinum headlights will not work in my wiring harness do you guys have such a beast that will work? I do have a towing package on mine as well.
Very soon! The light bar is the same, but it will have a new switch that will work on the 2020 switch panel. The last update that we received from NSV is that it should be ready in a month!
@@HeadlightRevolution another question. I know it isn't "street legal" but the two lights at the end of the bar are connected to the turn signals so can they be used on the road together with the trucks original turn signals? Or can it not be turned on at all on the road??
The DRLs on the side are wired to a switch that can be turned on or off. I'm sure there is a way to wire them to the turn signals, but that would void the warranty from NSV.

It’s a pretty neat product that makes good use of the space that’s for sure. Also, We ship to the UK!
So just installed the light bar, but the main light bar isn't turning on. The swipe effect and drl is working. What could be the problem?

NICE!!! can't wait to put that LED on my 2019 TRD!!
You’re going to love it!
@@HeadlightRevolution where l get this??
I have 2021, and if you can plug is up without removing the front panel and light you have baby hands! Maybe the 2020 is larger?
If I replace my halogen headlight bulbs with gtr 2,0 H4 leds, would I still need to cut that blue wire?
I also pose this question. If the factory bulbs have been replaced with led's, does the blue wire get cut or remain intact?
🧡
What kind of wheels do you guys have on this truck. Love them.
This was a sharp looking truck, We loved having it in here! Unfortunately I don't have the wheel info, It belonged to a customer.
Please make available for 2020+ Platinum (those auxiliaries are different which I assume is why it’s not yet available) in AMBER and I’ll buy it yesterday. Seriously though, please!
That looks amazing 👏
It is!
Very very impressed with the quality of this product
NOTE: The 3-in-1 also requires the red and blue wires to be clipped to the cigarette lighter harness, the booklet doesn't mention this specifically
Is there any way you make one with one switch on and off not with all the other thing cause I have a switch panels and want one button on and off
There is nun unfortunately.
The night rider vibe goes with the truck since Toyota hasn't updated Tundra since 1980.
Ha, That is so true.
Great Video! You made it look easy!
Thanks Lloyd!

So to use the NSV light bar high beams needs to be turned on?
No you will flip it on.
Key Features:
1: Lock and unlock function: scanning/swipe effect
2: Accent Lights: Daytime running mode for road use and increased visibility
3: Full light bar function
4: Scanning/Swipe (Knight Rider Style) function
5: Disable DRL Function
I do have the scanning function when unlocking and locking but I don’t have any other function do you know what it can be? Please help .
I have the same issue
Only swipe effect and Nothing else the switch it doesn't even work
My tundra has 6inch lift kit. will these bar blind the oncoming traffic? is there any way to adjust it ?
Is there tech support for this lightbars??? Or some one that can help me troubleshoot, thank you in advance

2021 version?
following!
Watched most of this video then checked the price😮
Yup lol I was like well nvm.
Will this fit a 2020 tundra crew max?
The website says 2014-2019.
Yes
...if installation was included, yes, in a heartbeat. Looks awesome though
Haha, thanks for the comment.
Excellent video! I saw on another video from HR that these NSV lightbars can do a very quick flashing mode. I just bought and installed these but I didn’t see how you can enter the quick flashing mode where all the lights flash quickly. How do you get that functionality?
This feature was removed, kind of a safety issue! 😅
I love that light bar but I don’t like flashlight just need light bar only u another the same that light without flash light?
Not at the moment no.
Is the good buldge made of metal? I guess that is decorative hood scoop.
The hood scoop is made of plastic, The lightbar itself is made of metal.
i wonder if this can be installed in a Tacoma....?
It cannot, this is specific to the Tundras!
So let me get this straight, the lightbar’s drl’s are going to be on all the time?
You have a switch to decide if they stay on or not
If I put Morimotos front led head lights can I put this bar in my 2020.?
Crazy expensive I bought a 300 dollars single row 38 inch and put it there, I only pay 1000+ for suspension or tires not a single light bar lol
You’re paying for the additional features and plug and play integration with this kit, Along with the bar itself which fits perfectly in the opening. It is spendy and not for everyone, I’m glad you found a good option for you!
If I see a 20% Black Friday or something similar I’ll definitely consider it. A clip on red Perspex cover would be awesome too!

Anything for the older tundras? I have a 2012.
Nothing like this but we do have options! Check out our website!
Does it have a strobe function?
No, it does not.
What is the LUX rating on this light bar?
Unfortunately, we never took lux ratings, this bar does produce 9000 lumens though!

Hello I just bought the Jeep Grant Cheeroke 2020, the head light is yellow too dim. Is the anyway I can change the bulbs to HID lights bulb?

This would be a great mod for my 2017 tundra .. just a little to expensive for me .. great instructional video !!
Thanks for watching!
Is there a way to turn off the “drl” on the light bar? It looks a bit silly and with the headlights already being bright on their own, the extra lights on the light bar might be a bit extensive.

Do you have for tundra 2021! Off road
Running boards, remote start, and tonneau cover, all for the price of these lights. As George Bush senior used to say "Not gonna do it. Wouldn't be prudent."
Why not do all of them? The truck is worth it!
Headlight Revolution I probably will. I like what I see.
(1) You just reminded me of Dana Carvey! (2) Why can't cars & trucks just have light bars instead of two separate headlights? Or brake/taillights for that matter?
That light is very cool.
It’s so fun to drive with, Our shop Tundra had it installed and I borrowed it for a few evenings. -Chris W
Would this light bar fit my 2021 limited tundra? I’d love one for my tundra
It would!
Do we need to conenct it to the turn signals? or can we skip that part?
All steps in this video should be followed to ensure functionality of the light bar!
Do they have a cheaper model that is one solid lit light bar? I don't need the DRL or the scanning lights. A single switch will do and without all those T-harnesses
I wish they did, We do get asked about that every now and then. As of right now they don’t!
We dont do installs in house, sorry!
HaHaa great question! Just bought a ‘21 1794 Edition and would love an installation also lol
Need help! Followed this to the T. Have a 2016 and upgraded the headlights to the new OEM 2019 lights. Light bar works but now I get the hyper flash on my left turn signal and won’t even turn on. Also, my fog lights won’t turn on now. Thoughts?

Can the center part light up with out the 2 outers or is it just those 3 functions?
The center part will only light with the outer parts, that is not designed to have the center on otherwise. Let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help!
Considering this light for my 2019 Tundra. I've looked through the comments to see if anyone else asked about the "street legal" question. Meaning, has anyone had any problems running with the light bar on, while driving on city streets? Are people flashing lights back at you for "high beaming" annoyance? Just curious if anyone has experienced any of this. Thanks in advance for any feedback.
This is not street legal, it is an off-road use only light bar minus the DRL feature.
Yeah, it's not legal.
Hey,
Did you end up cutting that blue wire??
Does this one work for tundra 2021
Why do u have to cut the blue wire for the DRL, can u have the light bar without cutting the drl cable
If you leave it connected you will have issues with the NSV light bar functionality. Certain trim level Tundras need it, Others don’t. There would be no benefit to leaving it connected.
Hope this isn’t a dumb question...but is this light bar street legal? As in can I drive down a normal street or the highway with this light bar on?
In most jurisdictions you cannot drive with a lightbar like this on the highway. They are really designed for off-road use only.
Is there one for a 2011 Tundra? Or a way to have a Knight Rider application for a 2011 Tundra?
I also have 2011 and would like one.
Love this!
Knight Rider 3000
It’s one of our favorite products here!
Actually, the TV movie "Knight Rider 2000" (1991) depicted a Knight Industries 4000 car. So you'll need a higher model number!
So on the nsv I see that there is only one cigarette lighter. My truck is equipped with two any advice
It only has room for 1 of your original cigarette lighter plugs, That is correct. The 2nd one isn’t used anymore.
Send us an email to sales@HeadlightRevolution.com and we will help you get exactly what you need!
When will the 2020 light bar be coming out?
Will this work for a 2012 tundra Rockwarrior the whole assembly?
What’s the price?
Only for 14+ Tundra models.
