Thank you so so much! I’m working on getting back into this journal. I got stricken by self-doubt: but if I were an alien, I wouldn’t feel doubt abt my observations and I need to just keep reminding myself of that for this specific project 😂
I thought abt it when it’s done! It’s part of a larger project that isn’t done yet, but I wasn’t sure abt the pages Bc my scanner would definitely pick up the opposite page 😬
This is a really cool idea. I'm going to steal this idea for my own journal. I feel like doing this will help me appreciate the small things and see something in a completely new way. Thank you for sharing!
It really does help!!! It’s been a long process Bc I have so many journals so I have to find time To come back to it. Sometimes I’ll draw the pictures and write in it later, so I don’t feel pressured to fill out a whole thing at one time. And it can literally be anything!
Your notebook has literally inspired me to buy an Onion Skin Journal and purchase some fairy, insect and botanical stamps to use my book as a place for creative writing. Absolutely love this. I think I’m only going to do it one sided as I’m afraid I won’t be able to read the words. I love how yours is both sides, I would continue it that way but maybe pre-plan where you’ll be writing/drawing? Otherwise you can leave the second page blank and come back to it at a later date. Not every book has to be completed in order ☺️ Also, what about some vellum tip ins for the pages that you’re worried to overlap on the back?
That’s exactly why I slowed down in this one-especially since if I want to be able to share it in the future, then I can’t scan it. But I also think maybe I could? I have too many ideas. Mostly what’ll suck is if I have to scan it and go through every single page to remove the shading from the opposite side 🤣 but yes! After the kidney page, I was kicking myself for not formatting that page better-but it just means it’s backside will be more creative (I hope)!
I actually bought transparent post it notes! I need to make a “less common but fun stationary” video Bc I’m into how I can use them in sketchbooks to modify/fix sketches or even just see how something might look-like layers in procreate! I also have the Onion Skin notepad and might just add a layer to that page so that it’s a bit more opaque. We’ll see! I can’t wait for you to start yours!
Yay!!! Congrats! I just finished my white one-I’m debating doing a flip through, but since it turned into my personal journal, am going to have to cover so many pages first 😂 I’m very happy with them!
What a beautiful journal! And lovely words and sketches!
