Is moving to Haughton or Stonewall or Desoto really leaving Shreveport? All the people you sought to leave behind are still well within driving distance. Yes I was born in Shreveport and yes I still live somewhat near the area.
@@AKlover moving to Haughton is leaps and bounds better than living in Shreveport. I've been here just over two years after living in Shreveport all of my life and the difference is night and day. I don't cross the river unless absolutely necessary.
I waved goodbye to Shreveport when I joined the army in 86. Never looked back.
@@SpicyTexan64 The problem is all the "Locusts" are currently fleeing from the states they voted every election to ruin ........ and most seem to be going to Texas or Florida. The ideal or "Least Bad" place to live is going to shift again very soon if it hasn't already. I'm surprised to hear how popular Utah and Idaho are becoming to the locust horde as well, 10 years ago I never would have expected that.
I'm glad the train tracks are better than the streets of Shreveport cause Big Boy would have derailed at that speed

It provides braking to save Big Boy's VERY expensive brakes, Limited assist in certain areas, PTC communications, and if Big Boy were to break down, it can move it to a safe location!

It's horrible. The crime, the roads, our now ex Mayor.
Yup. Been here for 40 yrs. and it's never improved. The better times were long ago but even then was questionable. This year we won the #10 spot on worst cities in the U.S. on someones list. I forget who because it happens so frequently. Also, our unofficial motto is "Stay Strapped or get Clapped". We're no Chicago but...... Hope that helps paint a picture.
