The one and only time I drove my dad's 3010 was pulling a culimulcher. He put the duals on it because to trade it in on a 4010 deisel. Which I drove a lot! The sound of your 3010 here takes me back tp 1979. Thanks
Watching this brought back many fond memories for me. Before my family lost our farm back in the mid-eighties, we had several John Deeres. Our very first JD was a 3010 diesel tricycle type bought new in late 1963. After that,we bought a 4010 with duals, then a 4020 with duals. We then traded the 4010 for a 5020 with duals and got a 6-bottom on land hitch plow for it. Eventually we got a second 5020, then traded it in on a 4630 with duals. We also had a 6 row 7000 series planter with 30 inch spacings. I loved working with those tractors!
Now this how real farmers do it, none of this auto steer crap, lol. When some of the guys went to no-till around here in the 80's, my Grampa said thats the lazy mans way of farming, how little did he know that one day guys would be just sitting in the tractor letting auto steer do all the work, lol. I'm still a believer in the need for a moldboard plow. Its not something I'd do every year, but every so often the ground needs to be turned under.
you have that 4020 looking great! It looks weird to see so much dust flying while plowing. I did a video on my channel of the spring planting on my farm and it was so dry and dusty that you couldn't see the planter a lot of the time. Crops are looking good for us. The 1st crop hay was excellent but in this drought, we are very concerned about a second crop.

Nice lineup of tractors! And beautiful black soil, that's a great seed bed
I could watch these all day
Kudos to that.

That's awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Sound like how I was raised in Arkansas awesome video
I grew up by a handful of Farms and 3 of them all had a John Deere 4020, one even had 2 Man I loved hearing and Watching them things work.
I love the opening shot with the 5020! I had a 1967 Standard, sure could pull! Nice 4020 turning dirt.
Those are some fine running tractors better than the new ones by a long shot.
Thanks!
remember my first sight of the MaxEmerge planter!! confusing but great advancement. Our 730 Diesel would really make a 4010 sweat bullets
4020 my kids godfather had one which was awesome ! We had a case 930 which was good also !
Real disking
I had a 1972 4020 , did custom hay rolling with it back in the 80s , with a 530 John Deere roller $5.00 a roll , stayed busy.
Really good looking equipment!
Thanks!
Plowing good and deep, just like Deere intended. Love the videos, keep them coming!
Good video

I agree with you 100%. Great video 👍
Tach not working on the 4020. ;-)
Nice video. That old packer machine did a nice job on some of those lumps.
New one sitting on the bench haha!

Thanks! Yes very strange to plow in the spring with dust flying ha. Hay was good first cutting for us too. We need rain so bad!
Hi, what impressed me the most, the driver with the planter. Where have you hidden the StarFire receiver ? Could not see it anywhere.🚜🏴😃
good video! question for an 4020 driver that you are, would a 4020 pull that disk?
Yes the 4020 would pull that disk
