This is it, my " Field of Dreams", blue sky, I can smell the hay, feel the sunshine I scratch away at the dust under my T shirt. Constant revolution of bale plunger. The 4020 steady and smooth. " You bale them and they will come" Thanks for sharing this.
When we traded the 24T for the 336 with a thrower, I thought that I had died and went to Heaven. We bought one of the first 336's to come through our dealer and sold it on the farm sale in '86. It brought just shy of $6000. Still had the faded sticker on the side that if you looked real close, you could read $1995. My Dad was really fussy and took excellent care of his equipment. That baler never sat outside overnight nor was it ever rained on. the paint was just as shiny as it was when it was new. It was my job to hand wax it every year.
Memories of my teen years/summers are flooding my mind seeing this. My uncle's dairy farm was a great place to work. He used "the other green tractor but I will always like John deere. I feel my arms itching and smell the hay and dust. THANK YOU for sharing this. 👍👍👍👍👍 I was a city boy having the time of my life.
Yep... that time of year for sure. We used to do it this week in the 70's in North East Tennessee using the Ole '59 530 & an old McCormick square baler...
I spent many an hour in the seat of my family's 4020 back in the day but never baling hay. We didn't have any hay meadows so we had to buy all the hay we fed our cattle. I loved that tractor!
Nice outfit just took a break for cup of coffee waiting on my kids to get here and then we are bailing about 200 with the old 3020 a 24t hope purs goes as well as yours thanks for sharing
God Bless New Holland for the machine that picks up bales and stacks them. That run them around here all the time. Most of the straw and hay bales are for the horse farms. I don’t think there are any diary farms left around here in central NJ. Matrix built warehouses on the land and Toll Brothers took up what was left.
Been waiting to cut and bale hay in southern Ohio but the weather has been a roller coaster and both me and dad work other jobs during the week so getting in the field when there is a dry spell during the weekend has been near impossible and it's starting to go to seed. All I can do is watch other people cut and bale on UA-cam after work.

Wow that's great! I'm sure it's still making bales!

Great vid! Those jd balers run the best when your pushing the hay through them!
Love that 4020! Wish I had one!

Thank you Sir we did and it's all done and in the barn
Wow very great my dad, so amazing and wished I'm there to have these experiences and work. I really love this.
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks so much my Dad and have a beautiful blessed day.
Looks like you should have raked some of those windows together.
That allows the poor chap on the wagon to sit back on the bales!
That is one clean beautiful 4020 tractor you got there
Thanks!

Yep for us it's similar. I start getting busy at the restaurant at 3 or 4 so right when we get all the equipment working good I have to leave haha!
We ran a 14T, so I'm unfamiliar with that 'pipe' out on the front of your baler?
It did have a kicker on it and I think there was another extension for adjusting the pressure to kick it farther
I know the person on the wagon wish"s the baler had a kicker on it. That would cut the work in half.
You don't need gloves to drive..share yours
Is there a rule on UA-cam that no one is allowed to run a baler with a thrower on it?
Haha
