I think that Freeman grand slam was an emotional tide-turner that happens so often in a World Series, and the fact that it happened early was a plus. So many of us in El Paso were joyous at the victory, as well. And we were texting exuberantly once that nerve-wracking game 5 was over. Anyone who can stay up till 2 a.m. is a stauncher human being than I am. On another topic, Rick, with your encouragement, I did attend a substantial (for El Paso) card show. Yes, there seemed to be a lot of Pokémon and shiny stuff, and so many vendors didn't have prices marked on the merchandise. But it was fun to look around, and I did come away with a nice unopened box of 1989-90 NBA Hoops packs. You were lucky to get that Hank Bauer without a bunch of print lines - good for you!
Michael, The Freeman homer in game 1 and game 3 at Yankee Stadium I felt were really was an emotion changer. Sometimes the texting can get overwhelming. haha Oh my, you went to a card show?? LOL Nice NBA pickups, did you open up the box?? Was there a David Robinson RC in there? Thanks for watching, Michael. Have a good week!
It was en extended series box, so the true Robinson rookie would be replaced by the game action card. I haven't opened any of the packs, but two of them had Jordan showing on top. Honest seller!
Congratulations to your Dodgers. They are definitely the best team in 2024. I enjoyed this video summary, and the video you made going into the Series. Good stuff!
Great stuff Rick. I need to pick up a pennant and program to add to my collection as well. Next year should be just as fun if not more with everyone coming back healthier so we'll see in the meantime Go Dodgers and hopefully they hold on to Teoscar
Ahhh thank you, Jesse. I know you're as happy as I am. What a great run! The pennant and a lot of shirts are available at Dick's Sporting Goods. I think they'll sign Ted (THEY BETTER). Can't wait for next year, but I need a break. HAHAHA! Have a good week!
Hey Rick, Dodgers World Champs! I was like you each game was stressful, even up 3 games history has told me any time we play the Yankees it is not over. Nothing better than watching your team win a title, Go Dodgers!!!!!
STEVE! We did it!!! I know you're happy too!! You're right, the past month was just so incredibly stressful. We will have to toast the champions one day at a card show!! Go Dodgers!!
Congratulations on the Dodgers championship Rick…I also was biting my nails despite being up 3-0. What a fun season that was. Pretty much solidified Freeman and Betts induction to Cooperstown! I love those 50 Bowman cards. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you Todd!!! I feel Betts and Freeman are HOF now, I thinK Dave Roberts will get in. I also feel Giancarlo Stanton will get in now. The man can just hit dingers whenever he wants practically. 50 Bowman is the best! Thank you for watching!
Go Dodgers!!! An incredible World Series and that 5th inning in game 5 was something else. Be celebrating this one for a while! And congrats on the pickups!
Hey Rick, sorry for the late comment. As I mentioned I watched this on the treadmill and didn’t have time to comment at the moment. I will admit the World Series loss was tough and I haven’t really talked about it. I was hoping my oldest son could see his favorite team win one and get that experience. Game 5 was a disaster. I am glad for you though. Nice 69 additions. McNally was really good. I still need to get his 64 Topps which is his first solo card. A couple of nice Yankee additions in Lopat and Bauer. I guess you could say Keller and Lemon too with their Yankees ties. I would like to see Reynolds get in the HOF. Lopat and Raschi are Hall of Very Good guys to me. Rosen was my father in law’s favorite player. Good point about Murtaugh and the HOF. This set has such nice portraits with the Lemon being one of them. Like I mentioned in our text, that is a beautiful Spahn. Well done.
Hi Terry! I took forever to reply to you, my apologies. Sadly, there are two sides to this story as the Yankees loss and we both know their fan base is enormous. I know there are a lot of sad people on the other side of the fence. You and your son being two of them and for that I am sad. I don't like attending games with friends who are rooting for the opposing team because one of us isn't going home happy. It would have been nice to see the series go seven games. The Yankees had a lot of great players in the 50 Bowman set. I find myself intrigued by the DiMaggio Yankees more than the Mantle Yankees. So many great players! Thanks for watching, Terry!
LOL JIm! I have heard that from three different Red Sox fans. I even got a thank you from a young co-worker. Did you pick up anything at the New England Card show? Thanks you for watching!
I was wondering when you were going to post!!! Dodgers did it baby! We went to the parade and it was a blast but man am I tired. Hope you enjoyed yourself too. Which show will I see you again? Hopefully soon. Cheers -Edison
Edison, I actually thought of coming on after every game but that was just too much. Then when it ended, I was so emotionally drained, I couldn't do it. I finally made myself do it on Saturday. You went to the parade? I love it! It looked like lots of fun on TV! I am very happy! I will be at Burbank and Long Beach in February! I don't think I'll be at Pasadena in a few weeks, but you never know, I could end up there. I hope all is well!
Congrats Rick on the Dodger's championship. I will say that the Yankees totally dumped and could have fairly easily come back to Los Angeles up 3 to 2 with a spent Dodger bullpen...but that's baseball and why it's played on the field and not on paper.
Yeah, Mike. Thank God they make them play the game. Padres probably would have won the series if they had won the ALDS. They gave the Dodgers the hardest time.
Congrats on the big win for the Dodgers! Enjoyed the video as usual.
Thanks Scott!

Thanks Mark and congrats to you on the Dodgers winning. Was so much fun!
Thanks for video 😊
Thank you, Bob!
I was a kid the last time the Dodgers won a full season world series. It was so fun!
This run was fun too!!
Congratulations, Rick - the Dodgers were clearly the best team, and I’m happy for you!
Thank you, Mookie. You can tell everyone the Mets beat the Dodgers more than the Yankees did!
Good stuff Rick
Thank you, Orlando!

Congrats on the Dodgers winning the World Series! It’s a great feeling, enjoy! I’m a big fan of the Red Sox and any team that’s playing the Yankees! 😂

Hello my friend
How are things in Japan my friend? we did it!
@ everyone is celebrating for Ohtani
I was about to send you a congratulatory text but realized I don't have your number. Congratulations!!!
HA! Thanks Eric! I just emailed you my number. LOL.
It's about time Rick. We deserve this after all the gray hairs and heartache they have given us.
I have more gray hair now! I need a few months off!
