    Hey man great video!
I also do my own powdercoating work and what i recently found out.
With the cheaper powdercoating systems it helps alot to do a light coat first bake it to gloss and then do a thicker coat over the whole part instead of only the areas you missed it gets you a way smoother finish and harder end result!

      Thank you!
I appreciate the tips! Was definitely a struggle trying to spray the second coat, and spraying it hot was definitely the trick. Powder stuck beautifully with the part at about 250 degrees!

Man that oven is a great idea, I put 2 ovens together before but now I just have 1 oven I’m not doing large items anymore

I’ve found that hot flocking the second coat works great if you have a single voltage gun

Super chrome plus is the one of the few exceptions to gel-out rule of thumb. That coating is supposed to be fully cured - as noted on Prismatic's site. Candy colors can be applied directly to polished aluminum as well FYI. Looks like a good attempt other than that. You're on the right track.

Dang! I wasn't 100% sure when reading on prismatics site wether to full cure, or gel it for two coats. Thank you for that information.

@@ChaseBuiltBikes You're welcome. I understand, some of that stuff is confusing. Keep at it man, you'll only get better.

My worry about making an oven like this is fire. How safe is it really to have heat guns running like this. So far i've got my powder coating gun the RC2 & cabinet. I just need an oven but they're like 1k just for a basic one that'll only do 1 wheel at a time...

Fire is a concern of mine as well. Whenever I run the oven, I never let it out of my sight. After a couple 30 minute runs with the oven, it's holding up well. Would not recommend to leave it unattended. With the edges taped, the board is holding up well

Where did you get the foam board

@@m0nster324 The foam board came from Menards. You can also get it at a home depot, or a Lowe's!

steering head bearings should be fun, should have used high heat tape and capped them off. and silicone plugs in all your threads. otherwise looks great

Thank you! I did leave the old races in the stem, I plan on replacing the bearings, and the plan was keeping the old races in, the when I change them it'll leave a clean line with the races still In, hopefully it works out!
