I wonder what this song would sound like if they played it forwards.
Would have been a regular marathon
It would probably sound like nohtaraM sdrawkcaB (unreleased)
Marathon - Kayo Dot
Lol
Not nearly as good! 😜
It's raining, it's raining, it's raaaaiiiiiiaaaayyyyyahhhaahhhaaaahhhin!!!!!!
Jonathon Aldridge ...and then straight into the growls. Blew my fucking mind.
Anybody who says Tommy's vocals are "Just screaming" have obviously never tried to growl or hold a note, or sing that fast
Thank you
Not only that his singing voice is really good too
The last 3 minutes of this song is total goosebumps. I like how Tommy sounds nowadays but this... This was him at this literally best moment. The fucking high note flawlessly sung and then seamlessly back to the growling. This one may be his best performance ever.
he sounded fuckin AWESOME on Saturday! Swim to the Moon and White walls back to back to end the show! UNREAL!
Absolutely amazing performance no doubt.
Yeah this was absolutely PEAK live BTBAM
Man is doing his own call and response at full volume, no trailing off. Tommy Rogers was and remains a god-tier vocalist
I love how he goes from Manowar power metal belt right into death metal growling
Relax bro not really, dudes gay as hell literally
The high note that transcends space and time
And now there an ad like a millisecond before it happens, completely ruining it.
This performance sounds better than the album version.
I feel the same about a lot of the live versions
Same.. ive seen them 6 times and im blown away by their tone everytime.
I don’t know about that but it’s as good.
Every member of this band is in fucking beast mode this entire song. BTBAM is pound for pound the best band to ever live. Full stop.
story checks out. can confirm.
Fucking right!!!!
This was the performance that made me love BTBAM, back in around 2010. They became one of my favorite bands and I saw them 3 times. I miss the older era from 2012 and before. Really changed my outlook on life finding this band when I had nothing else to look forward to in life
These guys are seriously one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen. I hope they come back to Perth soon.
I caught them on their current tour for the first time in like 5 years... holy fuck they are incredible. The Contortionist was good too for what it's worth.
log this under comments that didnt age well. RIP all shows.
Coheed and cambria a great live band too
@@tomlane6324 they’ve done tour tours since this… in the US
Definitely my favorite off the album. Super intensity into serenity followed by one of the most chilling switches back into heaviness I have ever heard.
This song never gets old, you can feel it in your bones. BTBAM all day!
It's incredible to hear Tommy talk and then go into this deep mean scream. It does not look like that sound would come out of him.
This aged incredibly well
This is still the best band of all time.
7:39 god DAMN he's good
It's incredible how tight of a band they are live.. doesn't get much closer to sounding like the record than this.
Tommy fucking kills this, I always come back and listen to this. Prime progressive metal here.
7:35 One of the best moments of our lifes
I seriously got an ad right be for the high vocal note then drop back into chaos. Serious buzzkill youtube ads learn your place
I got one in the middle of the white walls solo. kills the whole vibe.
Their Guitarist wearing a Dillinger escape plan shirt .... Really puts into perspective how amazing they are. Miss machine was one of the best albums of all time..and Blake Richardson's drumming is absolutely one of a kind perfection ... Best in the biz
I saw them with Dillinger Escape Plan at Chain Reaction. Fucking amazing show.
Damn. Tommy is just an incredible vocal talent. This band is top tier progressive.
Honestly didn’t think this song could live up to it Live, but I was so so wrong. Tommy hit THE note and the whole thing sounded bouncy and dynamic, so fun
its crazy how accurate it is to the album. if not BETTER
His voice is so good and consistent!
probably the worst part of the band lol
@@ecarlos2527 haters gonna hate
@@ecarlos2527 you deaf? or just tasteless
@@ecarlos2527 hahha como te vas a llamar carlos y peor, que te gusta Skrillex
the last breakdown is so unbelievably beautiful
Just saw them play this in Portland 5 days ago (2021) and I could not believe how stoked I was to hear this. I saw them play this once, maybe around this time and it absolutely aged well. Holy shit. After this shit covid time, I was in Awe. These guys put in serious work and I am so happy they exist.
Best song they have ever recorded. Alaska is the best album and they never play anything off that or the older albums at all anymore.
Funny how they have to play it like 10 BPM slower live because of how monstrously fast this song is
Pretty common practice for metal musicians honestly but hell I think sounds even better slightly slower
This is some of the most beautiful and heavy shit I have heard all at the same time. These guys are legends.
I really truly don't think they are human. Especially the singer. I've been out of the game for a while and just realized BTBAM put out like 5 albums I haven't heard. So far all of them are awesome and different. Just more inhuman goodness
Saw this live last night. They keep getting better and better
I'm jealous 😭
He comes back with a spiritual vengeance.
Magical voice
Dan doing the Steven Wilson, just walking around the stage shoeless
One of the most beautiful performances ever. I will die a happy, happy man witnessing this live come this August and September.
well, they didnt play this one, but we got Swim to the Moon and White walls back to back to end one of the best live shows ive ever seen!!
@@buckfuttler2877 they played it in Chicago. Not for you though?
@@dlawless88 lol yes they did. I was on an old school btbam UA-cam kick last nite and thought I was on the Add a Dglgmut video when I made that comment! I blame the weed 😂
Best of the best right there 🔥
CUUUBA
7:40 the heaviest breakdown in history
You guys rock so hard!! I fell in love sense my friend turned me on to this when I was a teen they’re not a band they are an incredible experience that can only be summoned with this beautiful harmony this band has locked in
First time seeing them, kicked ass, sound exactly how they do if not better, a must see
One of the best bands I can think of for sure 👍
I love you guys. What a performance. Hot damn.
It's amazing that even in 2008 Tommy's like, "We didn't know how many people would show up to see us." Like did you guys really not realize what you did?
I was hoping so badly to see this at the NC State Fair :'(... It was still an absolutely killer performance nonetheless!
Sounds incredible!
I absolutely love you All. Best band eve. I don't know how you all can be so magnificent.
FLAWLESS VICTORY!
This was the best!
I'm long overdue to see them in concert again. Last time was the Colors 10 Year Anniversary at The Catalyst.
7:40 Shit man. that's RIDICULOUS!
6 years, lol!! They been doing 20 plus!
Hahaha. God damn! Fucking goosebumps!!
This song is a trillion times heavier live
So fucking underrated.
Hey HEY - WW3
Fucking Covid!!! They had to play in Argentina this year.
Wong tang
How do you top this?
You don't
Seeing young Dan again feels a bit weird to me (in a good way)
Jason Au I actually miss Dan’s energy. He’s very stoic and mature now. I love Dan until the end man, but he is FEELIN’ IT here and I’m an here for it.
Dan rocks hardest. Always has.
6 years? I first saw them in 98 or 99.
@@tbfünke I know for a fact I saw them in 99. I was 18 and about graduate high school
@@tbfünke ha I dunno man. I know they sold me a btbam demo/ep
@@tbfünke I highly doubt I do but I’ll go thru my old cds or ask a buddy that possibly still has one
coitus music @ 3:49 domestic quarrel music @ 7:09
Why the 1 thumbs down? :(
They must have headbanged so hard that they hit the wrong one.
That guy no longer have a thumb
Damn was the venue's AC broken? Their sweat could fill a 5 gallon bucket
Well for one thing, Paul decided to shave his arms for this show evidently lol. So his naked arms are like showing sweat A HELLUVA LOT lol.
Secondly, even if venues have ac, doesn't end up mattering. Those stage lights are CRAZY hot. Even if you just KINDA get into it... You're gonna be dyin.
It's called going hard bruh
I'd be sweating my ass off too if I was playing that level of complex music in front of hundreds/a few thousand people for 1-2 hours...if I'm concentrating on something a lot I sweat 😂 Some people just tend to sweat more frequently/more easily than others too. I'm one of those people unfortunately 🤣
this song makes me hot and sweaty 🥵
Am I going crazy or is he lip-syncing this? It sounds exactly like the album version
nah man they're just that good
Had to turn this off when he cussed smh
Sucks to be you nerd
Ok
