Dan Inselmann At least they know their abilities in breakdowns ... they're fucking breakdown gods. I always get in discussions about this part of their Music and people are trying to tell me "Yeah here this song listen to this breakdown and that breakdown" but fact is ... BTBAM does 20 of them in a song. Not just one very good one
Hitthegoat well it's healthy to have a balance between knowing your strengths and weaknesses. No great musician ever gets caught up in either one of them.
Skyler Rice saw the ten year anniversary for colors scooped up a btbam signed Blake Richardson tom head. I play drums so I would have fought for that thing 😂
Ganondorf Dragmire Haha when they do shit like this, I sure am. The problem is that not every song is as melodic as this one, and I'm not a fan of the screaming either.
The amount of times I've lost a ranked game of rocket league due to this part is unheard of. I keep wondering why I never rank up and it's because I'm watching this instead of the TV.
Saw these guys performing Colors, Opeth performing Blackwater Park, and 3 performing The End is Begun in like 2007-8. Probably the best set I've ever been witness to, and I didn't even know what I was witnessing at the time.
BTBAM graced us with an encore of Viridian/White Walls at Emo's East when I saw them. Best concert experience I've ever had. Cried my fucking eyes out.
I'm just here to say, revisiting 10 years later, the guitar harmonies at 15:22 onwards still give me the psychogenic shivers. the whole section from 13:06 to the end is simply unreal
Why do some bands have so little views? Is it the record label they sign? Is it the sound style? Tastes of mainstream people? Bad luck with publicity? I wanna figure this out
The last song on Colors and the best. It is heavy as fuck but still technical. Much like the rest of the album ,but this was the cherry on top of a great album. Most of the Metal world is dumbed down by commercialized horse shit like five finger dick punch. They don't understand the complexity of BTBAM. They deserve to be recognized for their musicianship. I think they are overdue some awards. Grammy them and Opeth deserve Grammys up the ying yang. Triumphant can best describe the song it's brutal but beautiful.
Dustie Waring is always looking as if hes still trying to learn those Performances... they even lowered the volume on his solo part so the main guitars backing track was louder then the solo itself :(
BTBAM is a perfect example of what happens when you take your craft seriously. They've put some serious effort into their work, and it shows.
This is probably the best thing on the internet.
i disagree with the word probably
It's. Over the top. Exciting.
I just saw them play White Walls last night. It was excellent.
Yes
@@kellymcgrath5541 agreed
That outro gets me every time, beautiful
I wonder if these guys know how good they are. Like when they're writing do they just look at each other and go "Damn, we're really fucking awesome."
i hured dan and paul fight over who's parts are cooler or harder and stuff
Dan Inselmann At least they know their abilities in breakdowns ... they're fucking breakdown gods. I always get in discussions about this part of their Music and people are trying to tell me "Yeah here this song listen to this breakdown and that breakdown" but fact is ... BTBAM does 20 of them in a song. Not just one very good one
GamesInsight g?tgtp
The Secret Succ Society I prefer dan but it's hard to argue that Paul's parts aren't harder
Hitthegoat well it's healthy to have a balance between knowing your strengths and weaknesses. No great musician ever gets caught up in either one of them.
So many years later and this song still has the same impact fucking rock on 🤘
12:46 - The greatest breakdown in the history of metal
dude fuck yes!
This is the best best fucking performance i've ever seen. At the end i literally cried. I seriously can't describe how i feel right now
glad I'm not the only one who cries with Colors
Lrs Larosa thank god I saw the 10 year anniversary in nyc it was so epic beginning to end.
Not enough is said about blake though, I mean the guy is legendary
Skyler Rice The whole band are masters of their instruments. The Songwriting is 2nd to none.
Takes u on a trip, it's truly spiritual.
Skyler Rice saw the ten year anniversary for colors scooped up a btbam signed Blake Richardson tom head. I play drums so I would have fought for that thing 😂
dan briggs is a beast
aggreed
Never gets old. Will probably watch this when I'm 50 as well
Been listening to these guys for 22 years now... I'm very nearly 40, can guarantee I will be unless I don't make it to 50.
14:45 who sheds a tear when that solo starts? Damn..
Oğulcan Yolcu 15:00 god mode activated
When they hit that outro lick I got goosebumps. One of the best musical outros of all time in any genre.
I'm not a fan of BTBAM, but this song and this performance are proof that they're the best fuckin band in the world, and it's not even close.
Carlos RS It sounds like you might be a fan of them.
Ganondorf Dragmire Haha when they do shit like this, I sure am. The problem is that not every song is as melodic as this one, and I'm not a fan of the screaming either.
Ganondorf Dragmire Or in the band.
COLORS TEN YEAR REUNION TOUR 2017 YES
I meant anniversary. But same idea I suppose...
Dan fucking Briggs.
yes
My favorite song from my favorite band. The way it is meant to be heard. Perfection!!
I wish I hadn't found this. Days have only 24 hours, i.e. around 80 listens to this. I won't be able to get any work done.
That outro is just.... Mindblowing.
I watch this everyday!!!! Can’t get enough of it. I watch it when I run on the treadmill, it feels like they are cheering you on.
Colors 2 is much needed wish they would go back and explore this sound again for a new album
If they could do something similar but maybe even more clean vocals and clean guitar sections that would keep it interesting
You’re in luck
And they delivered
These guys are insanely talented musicians and this video is one of the greatest fucking things I've ever seen.
These guys are so young too. So much more amazing music to come.
You were perfectly right
Where ever you were when you watched this video, you started thrashing around violently @ 10:30
Admit it.
The amount of times I've lost a ranked game of rocket league due to this part is unheard of. I keep wondering why I never rank up and it's because I'm watching this instead of the TV.
True. But I thrash out the whole song.
dan is having fun
Man... What sound quality... Fucking amazing performance and recording.
This level of musicianship is outstanding.
Breathtaking
I need to see this band live again! 2 years is too long of a time to go by and not have seen them xD
These guys look like they are in your high school math/chess club. I love it ^_^
So epic!! They filmed their first live dvd here is chapel hill. They need to come back to the cradle!!! BR's a drumming beast son!!!!!
I'm 14 and I know it doesn't matter what my age is, BUT BTBAM FREAKING ROCKS HARDER THAN ANY BAND AROUND. Just saying.
Nice solo tutorial at 14:25
Saw these guys performing Colors, Opeth performing Blackwater Park, and 3 performing The End is Begun in like 2007-8. Probably the best set I've ever been witness to, and I didn't even know what I was witnessing at the time.
i miss this side of btbam i wish they would go back and experiment with this sound
Incredible how Blake could actually scratch his neck at 15:30 in the middle of all that chaos
Paul reminds me of John Frusciante in his prime. of course different genre, but looks and plays similarly. hybrid picking, mustache, etc haha
yea man i saw that too lol
BTBAM graced us with an encore of Viridian/White Walls at Emo's East when I saw them. Best concert experience I've ever had. Cried my fucking eyes out.
The only complaint I have about this dvd is that there's no camera on Blake like ever.
This. Is. Perfection.
One of the best solos ever written.
2022….still blows my mind…
best pirate music i know
I saw this live and I didn't know what I was really witnessing. Gat dam
I miss this sound type btbam!
I'm just here to say, revisiting 10 years later, the guitar harmonies at 15:22 onwards still give me the psychogenic shivers. the whole section from 13:06 to the end is simply unreal
BEST VERSION EVER.
I miss aggravating the people at guitar center by doing the same riff over and over again for several hours. Lol.
Danny needs to do backing vocals more often!
Paul Waggoner wearing a Behold the Arctopus shirt \m/
Why do some bands have so little views? Is it the record label they sign? Is it the sound style? Tastes of mainstream people? Bad luck with publicity? I wanna figure this out
i wish i loved my job as much as dan does his!
Still absolutely flawless
10:29 that scream, so fucking good.
breathtaking
🐉✨I'll always be on the road to Viridian City again one day. But for now, sleep well noble friends. Thanks to you, i can always say, look at me now!!💫
love song
Good shit, good shit. Dan is the man.
i know right
Just took some acid a hour ago...this is perfect..
James Johnson yes. Great idea. I like to play the audio in the dark. You will know what its like to be between the buried and me
My headphones flew off my head when 12:46 happened
Omg good camera work! youre a saint!
this band is unbelievable
The last song on Colors and the best. It is heavy as fuck but still technical. Much like the rest of the album ,but this was the cherry on top of a great album.
Most of the Metal world is dumbed down by commercialized horse shit like five finger dick punch. They don't understand the complexity of BTBAM.

Triumphant can best describe the song it's brutal but beautiful.
How does this have so few views? Society as a whole sucks
Goddamn this is absolutely one of my favorite songs ever
My cousin does all this shit and then downplays it. Like, "i didnt really do anything" lol.
This is all we have when we die.
True showmen. Just wow. Beautiful ending.
Good job bassists. Show them we can be beautiful too.
Can enough be said about Dan Briggs!? Dude rocks the fuck out!
he is awesome
Class
this will never fucking get old
Do you have the live performance for selkies?
How's about a live cd instead of me ripping the audio to mp3 format...lol... Maybe cd/dvd combo!?!?!
What is your question? Are you asking if its out there? Coz I have the cd/dvd combo :D
Am I the only person that heard 'weenie washer' instead of 'we need worship'?
this guys...woow incredible, MONSTERS NOT UMAN!!
HAHA THE FUCKING CATEGORY IS "EDUCATION" SICCC!
of course it is, this should be taught in schools
they shall be remembered for this so yea
incredible bass solo
that solo is the only reason im here
Tommy's performance is also phenomenal
15:17 is Merlin approved. Trust me, I'm your friend.
14:33 is the best drum part of the whole song, and they are clearly filming blake, but instead show tommy wtf
Histórico.
15:06 lmao Tommy headbanging
In chapel hill rather.. Apologies for the typo
Paul Waggoner is the greatest guitar player of all time and i don't care what anyone else says 😤
12:45
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! got no words...
The smile from dan :)
15:55

@13:50 always gives me chills 🤤
Dustie Waring is always looking as if hes still trying to learn those Performances... they even lowered the volume on his solo part so the main guitars backing track was louder then the solo itself :(
12:29 there you go
THIS IS FUCKING INSANE
13:40 tho
Just hate how much they add in the studio compared to live. Still water tight tho
