Magi me earbuds fell on my arm and i thought it was a spider...i legit started crying
I was OK with that because the one that fell was a pink toe, they are an arboreal tarantula species and not so likely to be harmed from that fall.
The lighter ones looked like Chilean Rose hairs and they being a terrestrial species are far more fragile and could have been seriously hurt from the fall.
The humans were never in any danger, the spiders however were the ones who had more to fear from an injury from a sudden panic movement.
I had to cover the bottom half of the screen the whole time because if I even SEE a spider, I freak out. Like so much. My arachnophobia is RIDICULOUSLY bad.
My biggest fear? Oblivion.

well, i was returning home from a 3 week vacation, and i was already turning the key inside the door. so i heard that familiar buzzing... looked up, and found that nightmareish nest all over the top of the door. if i had opened it, i would have cracked it, and god only knows what would have been of me.
then it was all screaming, crying, dropping on the floor, and returning to the car crawling on all four.

i'm terrified of spiders, but fine with tarantulas. i held one in my hand completely fine. i think it's because spiders look like insects, whereas tarantulas have more of a body mass to them, and have fluff on them and seem more animal like than insect like to me, idk

I'm the same. Like furry tarantulas don't really bother me but the more insect-y looking spiders scare me so bad.
I think in a controlled environment like this I'd be completely 100% fine with tarantulas (stumbling into one in my house or the wild might be a different story haha)
