i really think that video should be shown in schools because it's very touching and could help a lot of young kids. i feel like lgbtq+ isn't represented enough in education and it should be.

I feel representation in education is really non-existent unless you are in college. And even then the courses have to be sort of specialized and tailored.

Spoiler alert for the Percy Jackson and the Heroes Olympus and the trials of Apollo series.
As soon as you said next stop gay Disney Prince I remembered there is one technically, he's in a Disney Hyperion book by Rick Riordan. There is this character named Nico di Angelo, who falls in love with this guy who saved his life named Percy. There is a really long back story to Nico, and it's really complicated. Anyway percy is dating someone else, a girl. Eventually Percy doesn't trust nico once he finds out who his father is( p.s Nico only new his father from when he was really young, he doesn't even remember him). Nico does everything he can to win back Percys trust, it takes manny books but he does it. Then he finds out Percy will never love him the way he wants him too. Then he gets over him in a funny sort of way. At some point he finds his true love, and a lot of bad and good goes down. In the end he lives happily ever after... until like the third chapter of the first book in the third series, basically the 11th book. I'm pretty sure everything will end well, or fans are going to kill the author, JK. The series hasn't ended yet.

I was screaming when I first seen it like NO DONT FALL FOR THE STRAIGHT ONES (I'm well aware that I don't know if he was but it gave of that vibe that he was in the the beginning). I feel like if he got his broken and it stayed that way then more LGBT could relate and more homophobes would feels at least slightly bad for their BS.
KeMon, I have a slightly different take... I don't think the other boy was straight... I think he was gay (or bi) and in the closet. I think so many of us have gone through that, where we've fallen for someone who hadn't quite accepted themself or who had only just started to realize their orientation. I've been on both sides of it... the girl who hadn't come out of the closet yet and wasn't ready to give her heart to a girl who had feelings for her, and the young woman who fell for someone still in it. It's hard and it's heartbreaking, but it's not something you choose to go through.
I think the message of the film was "the heart wants what the heart wants... love is not a choice." My take on it is that both boys were really only just beginning their journey to realization and self-acceptance...and really, they look to be about that age that many of us start developing those feelings. The red head had already realized how he felt because he's realized he's got a full grown crush on the other boy, but he's still not open about it... the community, or at least the school he goes to, doesn't seem to have a supportive atmosphere. So he tries to hide it but can't because the heart will not be dissuaded.
The other boy is, I think, in a very similar situation... maybe only just beginning to feel attraction, but is scared to accept it given the stance from the communtity/school. But when he meets the other boy, who he now knows without a shadow of a doubt has feelings for him, he's confronted with his own orientation. When he looks around and sees the judgment on the other kids' faces, he, like the other boy, is too scared to be open. But when he watches the other boys heart break, it gave him the courage to seek him out... and that gave him the courage to let his own heart beat and be open to feelings and possibly a relationship.
Unicorn Forever I agree. Building on to that, the heartbreak was such a powerful scene. Being suddenly found out in the hallway of a school, having everyone stare at him that way, that was an incredibly accurate portrayal of what LGBT youth go through. And in that moment, you can feel the decision he has to make; Do I rip my heart in half, or do I submit myself to the hatred of my peers? He decides almost immediately that the heartbreak would be easier to bear. That speaks volumes.

I don't know what was more more precious, the fact that every time I see the "In a heartbeat"video it never fails to give me the feels or this video of Connor reacting to it and representing me in every single way when i first saw it..
This short anime film is so relatable which is why it made me cry. Especially at the part where the heart broke. Such a great metaphor and so true. People judging can make you feel ashamed for feeling a certain why and it can get in the way of love.

Gabriella Brady I don't want to argue with you but I think this is not only homophobic but sexist. Not all Princesses (girls) need princes (boys) to save them or to be happy and vice versa. And being gay is not something that is wrong to show children, some of them might be gay, and if they saw that in movies especially Disney movies that it would make them feel happy and not alone and weird.

I want to write a story about a nonbinary or transgender teen who's heart leads them to the clothes and name and things of the deferent gender and they try to stop it and can't and yeah so who would actually read that
To be fair, and don't think I'm being mean, it doesn't sound too interesting. The whole "heart leading them" doesn't make much sense and I just think generally it's not a great idea. Maybe a realistic fiction story about a trans teen figuring themselves out. I think that'd be a much more interesting story, and you could incorporate your other idea into it!

Gay people are not any cuter than straight people! I feel like by saying things like "gay people are the cutest!' and "I love gay people, they're adorable" it's like you're talking down to them or being condescending. Loving the same gender as yourself does not make you any more cute or special than loving the opposite gender as yourself. I know that anyone saying this means no harm and actually is trying to support the LGBTQ+ community! However, it comes off as being condescending and a bit rude. I hope that anyone reading this understands that I mean no hate to gays or the people calling gays cute; I simply want to share my opinion on the matter and get my point across that being gay does not make anyone cuter than a straight person.
