I dont know if he saw this comment, but there was actually a comment on his "Don't Take the Risk" video about how someone had been moments away from committing suicide (10 pills in hand a a glass of water ready) but they decided to scroll through youtube one last time and saw the video. They watched it, thought about it, then realized what they were doing wasn't worth it. Because of Markiplier, one less person committed suicide. Because of this goofy, amazing man, one less person became a number in the statistics. That is absolutely mind blowing to me.
Update 4/15/2020: Ok people keep replying about how unbelievable this is, but dont kill the messenger. I only wanted to mention it here because I didnt know if Mark saw the comment on the original video, and I thought it might have a better chance of being seen here. Stop coming at me for what someone else said

Anytime I have contemplated suicide, it has been because in those moments, I believed I was burdening friends and family. I thought ending my life you alleviate them of having to deal with me. You people have deluded yourself into thinking you're so above it all because you recognize how "selfish" it is to kill yourself, but truth is you're being mean. Maybe it is selfish but it doesnt give you the right to continue to kick someone when they're at their lowest. You aren't better because you call someone selfish. Imagine hating someone because they hate themselves. How does that make any sense? You just add on and on to the list of reasons they want to end it all. THATS selfish. THATS cruel.

2 years later and i’m only just getting into markiplier’s videos, but this video really made me tear up. so nice to see him recognising all the happiness he’s brought to people and honestly it’s always lovely to be reminded of how genuine and sweet mark is, wishing him only the best

Mark is so real that you can tell when he's faking something, which is usually for a bit like mocking someone. But he's also a good actor so... Maybe he fakes certain things without us knowing?

The most common thing people say Mark is faking is his reactions to scary games. Sure, it could be genuine, but going for "over-the-top" reactions in several videos *cough* FNAF *cough* is a little suspicious.
@@JameyMcQueen FNAF definitely isn't faked. Not only because of his fear of mannequins and such, but because the game itself has so much RNG to when a jumpscare may happen.
The only thing that immediately springs to mind on suspicious scary games play is probably Baldy's Basics in Education and Learning, because his first meeting with Baldy seemed like a set of planned sentences (something like "Who's being spanked? What's he doing out there. Wait! Oh! He's coming at me--")... But after that his frustrations with the game seemed genuine.
@@williamfalls regardless, you've got to play it up to make entertaining content. as much as you have to be real and yourself, it's a competitive industry and you've got to entertain people. those sorts of reactions appeal to some people more than just being like "oh. cool." and playing it up for the camera doesn't mean you're less of a genuine person, it just means you want your job to continue being successful and that's a fair point.
@@williamfalls He had to have not found the game scary to begin with if he wasn't going into it afraid. I haven't personally watched the video but usually when he's more snarky and humorous towards a game he's either not convinced/scared by it.
Watching Mark's videos has brightened my days. Especially during lockdown. I binged on his videos more than I should admit.
I think Mark's title as the King of FNAF is super appropriate, since he has done even the most frustrating things in the games, all while battling his phobia of mannequins.
I was dying over the 'I GAVE YOU 61 VIDEOS AND YOU BLEW THROUGH THEM IN A DAY' because everyone I saw was like:

I was kinda late to the party but I started watching him sparingly at the end of my junior year of high school (2017). His hunie pop and getting over it series is what got me into him. I'm now a sophomore in college and I still watch his videos daily. He's just worked so hard for what he's earned and I respect that.

For everyone angry about the Levvo comments:
The one Levvo made an account 14 years ago. The other made it 10 years ago. The Levvo with the 10 year old account is the real Levvo. However, the other Levvo did not fake their name or anything, that has been their name.
Also, the Levvo with the older account said in their comment "this must have been a long time ago?", so they probably assumed the moment was theirs but they just forgot about it. They also apologized for the misunderstanding, so yeah. Please calm down.

A cure for depression would mean that if you no longer watched Mark, you would no longer be depressed. I think he, and a lot of other genuine UA-camrs help you forget and give you something that might motivate you. But unfortunately it's not really a cure the way i see it.

This video is old now but I love Mark so much, he helped me through so many things for years, and made me laugh when i was going through some of the hardest times of my life so far. The fact that he raises so much money for good causes, and genuinely cares about his audience makes me so happy. I love him.

Yeah, I would but I am not all that committed to going through 32 different routes just to find a secret in, possibly, one video's background.
Glorious 2019 theory haven’t found anything and noones posted about it either. Considering only a fraction of his fan base found it I doubt they’ll leak it either. I can’t tell what the other secret is and I’m afraid that maybe it’s things he says instead of hidden numbers and letters like the first secret. So I’m debating going through again and seeing if maybe he does a certain gesture while speaking or something or if he annunciates words at certain times.

I was one of those depressed people(professionally diagnosed). I may not have watched or liked all of your videos but I love what you do and watching your videos. You were the reason I made it through the crap people gave me in middle school on top of my mental health. I wanted to make a difference like you did for me and so many other people. Even on my darkest days when I shut the people who cared about me out and wanted to leave it all behind and see my deceased grandmother. I was genuinely happy when I watched your videos and the effort you put into making them. I haven’t met you in person yet but after COVID is over it would mean the world for me to get to talk to you in person. I also hope you do a trichotillomania awareness video. Most people don’t know what it is and yet so many people have it that I think it would help lots of people who suffer from it.

Heh. Hearing him talking about Heist when he's now had so many things that just got bigger and bigger since then. I'm so happy to see how far he's come. He hasn't changed where it matters. That's why I stay, even after 10+ years.

@@user-ex8dm7in5i Me and a sizable amount of the population. Everyone has a Fnaf phase. I still do when a new game comes out, but it's not my entire childhood. It makes sense that people have fond childhood memories of watching their favorite UA-camr play these games and see their reaction and play it for themselves, but I'm just not that kind of person.

i met markiplier when i was 11! best and most unforgettable experience of my life. he was so encouraging and told me (for reasons that would take too long to explain) too be loud and forthright and then patted me on the shoulder
This is pretty unique and it's actually interesting to see more insight on content creators that have evolved through the years and are still really active on UA-cam. It might not be a video for everyone, but for me that has always liked observing and learning more about people, it's nice to hear about their thought process on making videos and what keeps them going. Thank you for this video! :D
That is the whole reason I watch his stuff. I watch his channel avidly not because of the content he is creating, but for his personality and knowing *HIM*. not markiplier, just Mark.
@@clarycekoonce586 Agreed. No matter how some people see it, I see how much Mark tries to show how he really is on his videos, and that's something I respect :) For me, it's never been this is Markiplier and this other one is Mark. It's really just Mark :D

I just want to leave this here.
I really like markiplier as a creator and as a person because he pushes his creativity and maintains his role as celebrity. In all these years I don’t think I’ve seen a time where the balance of the kind of person he is tips the importance between his work and his life. He’s an inspiration to me because he’s able to do that. Juggle all these ideas and carry them out all while being able to balance his consistency, the person who he is, and aspire to be greater than what he has achieved. His own drive to do better is notable in itself and the best part is whoever he’s with he somehow is able to touch them with a sense of determination and empathy.
That’s the markiplier I’ve been watching since I was like 12 it’s been a long ride with him. Lol he’s a big part of my childhood and I can’t wait to keep seeing what he does in the future.
Why is everyone hating on him? If you don’t like it click away. No one needs your hate and no one said you had to watch it. Fact is most of you have probably never even seen him so what gives you the right to judge. How about you unsubscribe without advertising it? Guess what he’s a real person, and a damn good one. He doesn’t deserve your hate.
