Been loving the videos! What do you think would be the different specs/builds for JC? 1. Multiple dedicated Cutters 2. Gear Maker (maybe dedicated per type) 3. Disenchanters? Would love some guidance or your thought once you get into the 3-4 jewelcrafters (or even for people trying to make the most out of just 1), and thanks again for the videos!!
Thanks so much for watching them! For Jewelcrafting, theres basically 3 main paths and that is following each tree. If you want to prospect (or craft reagents), you go into the prospecting tree. If you want to craft profession tools (or rings or necks), you spec into the jewelry tree, if you want to cut gems, you go gem cutting. If you wanted to be super specific, you could have 2 jewelcrafters that both go into the prospecting/reagent tree, but one goes for the prospecting sub specs while the other goes into reagent crafting. Technically you could have 4 gem cutters who all specialize into the 4 different types of gems, etc. Issue with alts is that you must be willing to play them and invest in them. Every crafter/gatherer has weeklies to do, so if you plan to have 4 jewelcrafters, thats 4 sets of weeklies not including all your other professions. I said this in another comment but I would always recommend to start out with covering all professions (there are 8 crafting professions, so 4 toons will handle that). From there, depending on the time you have, you can build out extra alts for extra dedicated crafts.
thats what i'm looking for (i guess:P ) so to make gold is the specialization gemcutting the best right? :) just starting this profession cause i run all the time broke around without any gold xD - time to make some million!
Thanks for the guides! Excellent work. One question please. There is no way to get the next tier of a created item if you don’t flat out have the skill required right? There is no luck like we have in Dragonflight. If you have a recipe that needs 200 skill to make it to max and you have 199 skill there is no way to get it to 200 without using your concentration?
Correct! If you do not have the skill required for an item, you will have to use concentration or a finishing reagent to get the remaining skill you are missing. A big perk of Patron (aka NPC) work orders is that they give Knowledge Points, Artisan Acuity but also consortium finishing reagents. These are 1 time use finishing reagents that give you skill, just like the gem cluster finishing reagent you get once you spec into gems enough. If you don’t have any finishing reagents and you are out to concentration, you are out of luck
Hi Penguin, love the vids, as someone that stoped playing high end mythic raids and will go casual in tww i'm very interested in playing with professions, with a bunch of alts ready. How many of each of these professions do you recommend ? Like having 2, 3 or 4 jewelcrafters for exemple. Thx.
Really depends on how much time you are willing to invest. For example, you could technically plan to have a prospecting jewelcrafter, a jewelcrafter dedicated to cutting gems, and a jewelcrafter who makes profession tools. You could even have a 4th jewelcrafter who is dedicated to rings, etc. The issue is that now you are doing 4 sets of weeklies just to get jewelcrafting done + all your other professions. Hi Penguin A question about recipes from City of Threads. Should I be max level to farm the new currency "Kej" or can I farm with my main then transfer either the currency or recipes to my crafter? Do we have any information about this? Or can we test it in Beta?
You dont need to be max on your alts! Kej comes from completing weeklies/events in the zone and renown, etc. Once you hit max level on your main, you'll unlock Adventure Mode which allows your low-level alts to do all of the world content (World Quests, Profession Quests, Weeklies, etc). You can also transfer the currency in-between toons. So you can decide to farm it purely on one toon, or you can separate it out into multiple toons if you like to play multiple characters.
Spreadsheet exists! It’s what you see in the video, link is in the description. I’ll be updating it as we get closer to release with more concrete information and as we discover stuff after release
Does it matter with different quality mats to create gems then? If the gem itself has no quality, what’s the downside if you use quality 1 mats? Still a cut gem I assume?
Yep! Blasphemite are the epic gems - if you are familiar with DF, they are basically the new illimited diamonds. Big difference is that the diamonds are BoP in DF and these will be BoE
great, back to spamming trade chat for hours to sell some stuff and make money. I would prefer if we could just sell all stuff on the AH and play the game and do other stuff like dungeons and raids while making money.
Only reason you need to spam trade chat is if you do high-end armor/profession gear. Reagents, prospecting, gems, PvP gear are all BoE and sold on the AH
@@Penguinr2gt yeah exactly. But on my very high population server i could not make any money with reagents, prospecting and gems as all was cheap. Only way i could make money with JC in DF was by selling Rings on trade chat.
Thanks so much for watching! Jewelcrafting Beta Updates List:
Great video! It's interesting that the jewelcrafting gems no longer have quality but enchanting mats do now.
Definitely an interesting change! We will have to see how it goes once its live!
Fantastic information on JC, I always love the way you explain everything in simple terms. Your videos are the best. Have a fabulous day
always great content, keep it coming!
Thanks for watching!!
Been loving your content! Which specialization did you unlock first, and are you putting all your KP into the first slot?
This was awesome!
Thank you.

@@Penguinr2gt Ok, i was concerned by the time and investment it would require indeed, thanks for the answer !
Do the epic gems have to be work ordered again or are they on the AH?

The ore is called Aqir-ite. Its named after the Aqir enemies.
Rewatching this one as I'm having a rough time with jewelcrafting.
JCing is definitely a fun one right now. I'd say its the most expensive to level, but if you can level it - Reagents are doing really well
Yoo, will you make a tww spreadsheet like you did for df? Thx for all the videos 😊

@@Penguinr2gt thanks again! 😁🙏
Does it matter with different quality mats to create gems then? If the gem itself has no quality, what’s the downside if you use quality 1 mats? Still a cut gem I assume?
Raw gems have no quality but the final product (cut gems) still do! So material quality is still very important!
@@Penguinr2gt tyty =]
Would you do 2 crafting or one gather + one crafting?😊
I personally do 2 crafting as I don’t do anything gathering
delves and troupes are def going to be swarmed with JCs looking for the recipes
You’re right! If the ring truly is the next lariat, there will be a lotttt of farmers
Are diamonds no longer a thing with prospecting?
You are correct, the uncut epic gems (blasphemite) are made by Alchemists
Do we know if HSV is still a thing?
It is gone
can the blasphemite gems be sold into the ah?
Yes! They are now BoE! (unlike the epic gems from DF)!
@@Penguinr2gt thanks, only to be sure cause i am new at jc, this are the rare epic gems right?
Yep! Blasphemite are the epic gems - if you are familiar with DF, they are basically the new illimited diamonds. Big difference is that the diamonds are BoP in DF and these will be BoE
@@Penguinr2gt thanks again, you are great
Does anyone actually post public crafting orders?
Some people do when they cant find someone in trade!
💰💰
The fake blasphemite can get you to 100 though, so it is super useful without spending knowledge points
Yep, if the recipe stays that way, it’s definitely an easy way to hit 100/100
Cubic Blasphemia maxes out around 75 skill, only the real Blasphemites can get you to 100
Thanks for the update! It’s definitely a nice way to get all trees unlocked at the very least
