Great video! Love a good wash and go, but with my MBL tangle prone hair, even if I can push a wash and go to a week, the SSK s are NOT worth it to be wearing on the regular. WNGs are more of a special occasion style for me.
    Your hair looks amazing btw.

I’ve been doing wash and goes since 2018. I wash and condition my hair every 4-5 days I use 2 stylers and it takes 1hr45min. I workout 4 days a week and he works for my lifestyle and hair. I can easily get 7 days. I’m 74 with gray type 4 hair, it’s trimmed every 3-4months, no breakage.

I’ve noticed that some people on UA-cam do not explain things like you do. Recently, washing my hair has become difficult due to tangles, and I’ve been losing some strands. Since I have thyroid problems, I asked my doctor for a test, and it came back low. He has decreased my medication, and I hope this helps. I’ve also stopped using a comb. Now I detangle with my fingers, which has reduced the amount of hair I’m losing.

I’m glad you took time to look internally for answers to your shedding. That is commonly missed. Light finger detangling before shampooing and in the shampoo helps tremendously. Using the slip of your shampoo can help detangling and set your hair up for a smooth detangling process in your conditioner as well. Please note that your fingers will not be able to remove all the shed hair. So you may want to consider choosing a good tool that you are comfortable with for fine detangling .

This hit home for me!! Dealing with course grey hair in my crown is exhausting- I gave up on wash-n-go & gels last summer. I moved into 2 strand twist with leave in conditioner, curling cream, & foam. Now I'm trying to find someone to professionally keep my ends trimmed and give some 'shape' to my hair, which is yet another challenge 😢

I understand! It’s a great style but if it’s doesn’t work for you. It’s more than okay to move on!

I’ve been doing wash and goes since 2018. I wash and condition my hair every 4-5 days I use 2 stylers and it takes 1hr45min or less and that includes drying. I workout 4 days a week, sweat a lot and this works for my lifestyle and hair. I can easily get 7 days. I’m 74 with gray type 4 hair, it’s trimmed every 3-4months, no breakage.

I use lots of water at each stage, cleansing, conditioning and styling. The only time it’s manipulated is when I wash it. But trying new styles is fine if you’re taking good care your hair and it’s hydrated, a regular stylist is very important.
