- Today we’re back at Universal Studios Hollywood after Universal Studios Japan’s recent announcement regarding its future Super Nintendo World expansion including Donkey Kong Kingdom. Donkey Kong Kingdom in Japan would be the first iteration of the expansion between all Universal Park and their Super Nintendo themed lands. Today we talk about it’s probability and likelihood of it coming to Universal Studios Hollywood. Additionally, in today’s video we talk more about the upcoming Fast & Furious rollercoaster that’s currently under development, and new holiday treats you could find inside the theme park!

I’m sure if Yoshi ride was planned, it probably should’ve opened with Super Nintendo World because it’s connected to the mountain.
if you look on google earth there is space for the ride to go in a circle around Nintendo world. They couldn’t have the bridge or anything but they could do it

I don't ever think that Universal Hollywood Studios may ever get a Donkey Kong area cause it's never been in the plans from the beginning
How many kids are still playing Donkey Kong? I think it would be better to bring in something new, another Nintendo creation: Pokémon. To start off the character Pikachu could be added to the meet and greet photo op characters at Super Nintendo World.

Universal would be better off making a Pokemon land downstairs than putting in Donkey Kong. DK is not as beloved of a franchise as Pokemon, and most kids only know DK from Mario Kart and Smash Bros.
What if they get rid of mummy and transformers to fit in the dk area? It can happen but I’ll be sad to see mummy go, it’s a good ride
I really hope soon universal focuses more on the theme park aspect and move the sound stages or buy more land to make more attractions. I really love Super Nintendo world, it sucks Hollywood got the smallest one.
It's possible to replace Transformers and the Mummy coaster with the Donkey Kong expansion and the Yoshi ride.
There is room for expansion behind SNW. It could work somehow with re-route of the tram. But if it isnt donkey kong, (which i would like cause its a unique system and it adds another coaster to the park but it is a low capacity attraction) it could be another Franchise in nintendo instead, such as pokemon. But i do feel like there is room for expansion behind SNW, they just have to be creative with the room they have.

I like your idea JP. The Lower lot could be jungle themed for Donkey Kong Country with Jurassic World benefiting as well.

Yes, it could have a secret exit/entrance to a donkey kong land through the jurassic world area. It could transition perfectly with the jungle theme
Idk about DK being in front of SNW doesn’t really make sense tbh if they wanted to they’d demolish soundstages behind SNW and reroute the Tram
Nah JP, those stage setups are for the EVE event. New Years Eve event
New Year’s Eve is less than a month away (24 days as of this writing) so those stages are quite likely for that. And they look great!!
Yall aint gonna get DK. It was a miracle that LA got Nintnedo, and it still had to be the smallest version of the land.
Universal Singapore is also getting the scaled down version. But we do have space for an expansion for SNW.
@imsocool5932 Not really, not without replacing some of their most popular rides, and even then, that would also mean destroying in use sound stages. And I STILL don't think there'd be room.
@@broformers6433 there is room. Universal is creative, they made an amazing dark ride in a old theater space which was only about .6 acres. Plus, more soundstages were built in 2021 on the north east corner of the lot.

I was hoping they would have brought the Christmas Super Mario merch like in Japan. But there’s still next year.
Next year. Same thing happened in Japan, it was decorated the following year after it opened.
Maybe that will happen at Universal Orlando once Epic Universe opens in 2025

I hope we get Donkey Kong. Transformers is not owned by Universal so it could make sense to get rid of it but who knows. Or they could use the stage behind Transformers so that they don’t have to get rid of Transformers but it’s my opinion

But the problem is, Hollywood's NW is small, and doesn't seem to have any plans for an expansion. Where would the entrance to Donkey Kong even go?
Only idea I see is if they shut down Nintendo world for a while to rework things to match more like the one in Japan. Maybe add new things in as well. Like he said they could remove the sound stages behind it or even transformers to reshape the land if that makes sense
