The props and accessories made for universal are usually not made at universal but made by 3rd party artists and production companies. So, the recycling of old images in a lot of the decor are probably from those people. Meanwhile, the animations are made by the internal animators at Universal and sometimes they hire outside animators to help on time-sensitive projects.
That meatball legit looked like it wasn't cooked. If i were there and got that, i'd legit request a refund lol. Paying park prices for food that'll almost certainly make you violently ill is absurd.
Well yes, but that's because Japan has a totally different culture. You could go to a bottom-tier restaurant in Japan and still get food made with better standards than what Alpha got served.
Went to the Osaka Universal studios location 2 weeks ago, can confirm that the food at Toad's cafe was solid, did not give anyone in my party food poisoning, food tasted good, and it was delivered in a timely manner. There was still some extra talking in order to removing certain ingredients due to dietary restrictions, but they still followed through in the end. Still love the presentation too. Also for anyone who was curious about that "cracker" on the spaghetti it was a parmesan crisp.
My Family and I went this last December. Was really excited cause though Australia has theme parks, the American Parks are huge! This brought a lot of insite into everything my family and I didn't do, but our time there was really fun none the less. I did buy some pins and a bob-omb keychain (rip Bobby). Thank you for the video it was fun to watch!

Jacob just casually gets food poisoning from his last adventure to Super Nintendo World and he just casually decided to go there again. This man has some balls
Having gone to Universal Studios Japan a couple weeks ago, it's interesting to see what changed with the american version: 1. The wristbands cost like double in the states jeez 2. there was 1 extra key minigame in Japan where you had to get the key pieces scattered around the room, then fit the puzzle pieces into place before they get blown up by a bomb-omb and scattered again. 3. the queue for the Mario kart ride in US looks like it has more props and is longer (probably because japan has the Yoshi ride) 4. various Toad's cafe menu changes, JP food looks (and probably tastes) miles better, the Peach cake got downgraded to a cupcake lmao 5. Toad is exclusive to Japan :/
Honestly putting a character you only see in a specific region makes no sense for me. Except this one I’m glad it’s not in America because holy shit that suit looks dead.
Why stop at mushrooms? This cafe can have every powerup. Add some flowers, some leaves, a few fertilized eggs and we've fixed the cafe... what was that? What do you mean we could actually cook the meat?

I really enjoyed this content in general! You make a great host for travel adventures. Also thank you so much for actually showing the downsides of the café, every other youtuber who has mentioned this say they adhere to allergies and modifications, which is a big difference to the type of café that is overcrowded and only adheres by removing stuff if it's a serious allergy, meaning I could definitely not eat safely there to begin with, with all my allergies.

I was in Super Nintendo World in Japan, Osaka. It was very impressive once you entered the theme park through Peachs Castle. The Yoshi Attraction is just a slow ride above the park. Oh yeah, the japanese Nintendo World is more deep and feels like a little crater, so the yoshi attraction feels much more epic than it deserves tbh. The waiting lines are very beautiful as well and you hear nice mario music all the time. There were also koopa shell bread with yakisoba noodles inside... it was very delicous and I cannot understand why the american Nintendo World fails in that aspect. Trust me, the food in Japan is very very nice, you would love it! Otherwise it is nearly identical to the american theme park from the looks of it. Try check it out if you should ever have the chance ^^
For recommendations on things to do for your Japan trip: if you're looking for a good "drive around and do shit" quest, there are bronze statues of all the Straw Hats strewn around Kumamoto prefecture that are just in random ass places. @@sheamccready8526 that you know a video's going to be good if jaiden and alpharad are both in it
@@violetbackedstarlingwhat are you saying?
SO TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How are people confused about what this means it simply means that Jaiden and alpharad are a great duo
9:16 that’s normal for almost every eat in. Wait 1 hr for no reason, realize that it’s actually been an hour and a half, get your food eat leave and realize YOU CAN’T SLEEP!
I always appreciate how much detail Universal Studios adds to their parks. If only they paid that much attention to the food 😂
10:11 I love how it perfectly syncs with him actually saying the same thing to Jaiden 😂
0:57 NO WAY HE RANDOMLY SELECTED THE BORDER BETWEEN SLOVAKIA (where i live) AND POLAND OMG
It’s Austria…
Alpharad pointing out where each Mario render came from made me smile because I would do the exact same thing
As someone with an actual mushroom allergy, I give all of you permission to claim that you have one
Chad
*Good Luck!*
Punching blocks is… strangely satisfying!
Also 5:15 the park is pretty much New Super Mario Bros. 2 where the goal is to get as many coins possible, and stamps give you bonus coins. Some are even repeatable!
Lmao I can’t believe Bowser’s meatball challenge was just “can you eat a pound of raw meat and survive”
It sounds like something an intern came up with and they just went, "Fuck it, add it to the menu." and went back to brainstorming.
I had a shower thought one time about if i ran a restaurant i would serve a block of raw meat and label it as "the meat cube"
@@Ittbitt9999 It already exists in a way. Google steak tartare.
They might as well put that cube of meat you cook in that one Super Mario Party minigame on the menu
With only one side cooked of course
I love Jaiden, she's always that agent of chaos and you never know what she's going to do. She's gamer at life
Happy to report that the experience is better now (at least, on a Thursday in June). I got the garlic knots and ? block tiramisu and they were pretty good and came out decently quick (probably helps that they're small items though).
Anyone looking to go, strongly recommend the early access entry. It's $30 but it means you can go on the mario kart ride and make your reservations right away before it gets too busy.
jaiden and alpharad are essentially the wario brothers of the internet
Couldn’t have said it better myself
Yes
I find the image of Adriana holding a peace sign over alpha in a hospital bed to be extremely funny
Without context it looks like SHE was somehow responsible.
You didn't know?
jaiden and alpha are slowly becoming a very iconic duo. I just love the sibling energy the combination of the two radiates.
apparently that meatball, in addition to actually being raw, also had mushrooms in it despite alpharad claiming he had a deathly mushroom allergy. the true bowser's balls challenge, praying you don't die from both salmonella and any allergies that they did not adhere to
he shows the receipt, he only said he had an allergy for the spaghetti. also i’d bet if they mentioned it couldn’t be substituted cuz the meatballs were already prepared, he could have just said it was for jaiden or something, since he talked about feeling bad about making up the allergy
I love how jaiden gives an L to the camera almost every time
It's like the gamer equivalent of flipping off the camera when you're in frame
@@EmeraldKeys isn’t it a L for Luigi? I mean, she’s also wearing a Luigi shirt.
@Matheus P Plus she is wearing a Luigi band
The props and accessories made for universal are usually not made at universal but made by 3rd party artists and production companies. So, the recycling of old images in a lot of the decor are probably from those people. Meanwhile, the animations are made by the internal animators at Universal and sometimes they hire outside animators to help on time-sensitive projects.
That meatball legit looked like it wasn't cooked. If i were there and got that, i'd legit request a refund lol. Paying park prices for food that'll almost certainly make you violently ill is absurd.
I bet Japan’s Cafe actually takes their food seriously
I've seen a few articles that confirm that. The menu is a massive downgrade and it seems the same goes for the chefs.
Truly a thing vs thing in jp moment 😔
Well yes, but that's because Japan has a totally different culture. You could go to a bottom-tier restaurant in Japan and still get food made with better standards than what Alpha got served.
DancingBacons went to the Japan location and ate there, and from their video I can guess that this assumption is correct.
Thank you for the video it was fun to watch!
honestly, if we get a japan trip vlog/video, id love a part of "things i wish we could get at home", like arcades and that pokemon cafe for instance
As someone who worked in the food industry, that meatball is definitely too raw to be considered "rare".
their fancy at nintendo cooking is for the poors. it's a tartare tho a simpleton like you which probably doesn't even know how to make a Double Triple Bossy Deluxe on a raft, 4x4 animal style, extra shingles with a shimmy and a squeeze, light axle grease; make it cry, burn it, and let it swim with no pickles even tho your class is at that of mcdonalds and should know such slang.
i only have experience thru my brother whos rlly into/picky about rare steaks and like. that shit just looks undercooked
2:11 Oh ive been there. At the waterpark where i work, i see families have little parties set up using obvious dollar store party decorations and i cant help but notice how whenever theres a Sonic theme how the characters are either fake or the images are from other games, like there was one with Boom Amy, Secret Rings Sonic, 06 Tails and so forth
7:16 made me think of how amazing this place would be to climb and explore when abandoned and there are no rules. I already find the idea of looking for an abandoned mall to explore really fun, but imagine this that's literally built like a platformer
Abandoned mall is cool for Tony Hawk Pro Skater reasons, the tower is cool for becoming Mario irl reasons
It almost feels like Alpharad is still with us, fly high.. fly high. 😭🕊️
Ikr :(
It was such a sad Tuesday 😭
What happened?
@@CrazyCats101. he died from flying too close to the sun😢
Can’t believe he died from salmonella 😭😭😭😭
He should have known he couldn't handle Bowser's raw balls... 😢
Fun fact when I went to Nintendo world and got a reservation to the Toadstool cafe I went up to the person standing outside just to confirm how exactly it worked and they said “Wanna go in now?” And they let me in 😭 they rlly did not care
Jadien and Alpharad are one of the best duos I swear and I can't be changed
Jacob just casually gets food poisoning from his last adventure to Super Nintendo World and he just casually decided to go there again. This man has some balls
in fact he just had bowser's balls
He just had to make sure
7:48 toad is no longer exclusive to japan, I met him and it was the best thing ever:)
Having gone to Universal Studios Japan a couple weeks ago, it's interesting to see what changed with the american version:
1. The wristbands cost like double in the states jeez
2. there was 1 extra key minigame in Japan where you had to get the key pieces scattered around the room, then fit the puzzle pieces into place before they get blown up by a bomb-omb and scattered again.
3. the queue for the Mario kart ride in US looks like it has more props and is longer (probably because japan has the Yoshi ride)
4. various Toad's cafe menu changes, JP food looks (and probably tastes) miles better, the Peach cake got downgraded to a cupcake lmao
5. Toad is exclusive to Japan :/
Honestly putting a character you only see in a specific region makes no sense for me. Except this one I’m glad it’s not in America because holy shit that suit looks dead.
@@RudoMike21 I did see a toad while i was there, and i did wonder how small the person must be to fit in it!
That part about modifying the food hit me hard because I only wanted ketchup and lettuce on my mario burger
Why stop at mushrooms? This cafe can have every powerup. Add some flowers, some leaves, a few fertilized eggs and we've fixed the cafe... what was that? What do you mean we could actually cook the meat?
I love how jaiden is just full of energy in these videos
Right? It is such a character development seeing her not being uncomfortable anymore of being seen, and is awesome to see her having a good time
“and for some reason the devil wants you to get salmonella” has to be one of my favorite jacob quotes
7:08 props to the kid dressed up as mario XD
6:50 any% super nintendo world speedruns are going to be INSANE after this breakthrough
@randomusername1735 hmm true! leave plot unresolved. bad ending but still complete!
Hospital%, how fast can you become violently ill from Bowser's raw balls.
This guy made a Japan vlog a couple years back and made Nintendo World look phenomenal.
Excellent Cuisine
Fun rides
Eccentric cast as the Mario group.
And then your video really showed us the reality between American and Japanese cooking.
The fact the food looked like as you described “Cafeteria food” after almost an hour wait time made me hesitant on going when it comes to Florida.
Ngl. Having to pay a second time for a cheap wristband just to fully access that corner of the greater park…eesh. I’m not surprised the food was not only prepackaged frozen stuff but not even reheated to be safe to eat (which Also says…uh. The kitchen will look like a petri dish. No wonder Alpharad god so sick the last time. That place is a walking lawsuit, and don’t even get me started on being unable to modify your meal)
@@spacecat8511 Being unable to modify the meal except for allergies is pretty common in theme parks though?
@@AztecCroc
It’s still incredibly stupid at best, ableist at worse, and a lawsuit waiting to happen in the extreme-which half the comment section’s pointed out already
It’s also why Theme Park Food gets the reputation for being not only overpriced but *terrible* (but a lot of places force you to buy it by not allowing in picnics or snacks. Fuck diabetics, people with food allergies and intolerances, and religious/worldview dietary restrictions IG…
Seriously though, this isn’t anything other than capitalist bullshit. It’s not THAT hard to actually keep a clean and equipped kitchen with meals that aren’t prepackaged and frozen and actually hiring/training cooks. They’re just being incredibly cheap and charging a premium.)
@@AztecCroc to be fair most park food is like 3 ingredients
Guessed popcorn bucket immediately! The dead giveaway was the strap... anyone who has ever been to Disney knows the look from a mile away... hahaha! Glad to see they've adapted to Mario! Can't wait to go to Japan next year!
Jacob and Jaiden are such an iconic pair, like they could literally make a video about anything and my ass would be watching
8:12 WRITE THAT DOWN! WRITE THAT DOWN!!
Alpharad and Jaiden really turned into the 2 best buddies that do everything together huh😂😂
I have never felt more understood than when alpharad talked about climbing the scenary
Kinda wish that was an attraction, though I get why not
love the duo i havent watched alpha or jaiden in so long and now they are making vids together!!!
Thank you for making sure to shake your head disapprovingly at Harry Potter World, dude
i like butterbeer and harry potter world but jk rowling is 🤮
@gamergoose5467nothing’s wrong with it, JK Rowling just sucks
@gamergoose5467 She has been on record multiple times saying various things that are in-line with TERF viewpoints and opinions, even though she and her defenders insists that she is not a TERF.
@gamergoose5467 she's just immensely bigoted
@gamer goose It's a mediocre series at best, and the 25+ yo adults obsessed with it have the reading level of an 11 year old.
Rest in peace Alpharad. You’ll always be a strong memory with us 🙏
6:55 They found a speedrun strat for Super Nintendo World lmfao
I love how Jaiden is just always happy during this while Alpharad is observing and critiquing for his planned video.
i honestly like how everything in there looked super clean
Jaiden was really dedicated to always give the viewer the "L" whenever she was on screen on huh
More lore added to Jacob's hospital arc. Love to see it
Sad he didn't eat the meatball, we'd have hospital arc part 2 :(
For recommendations on things to do for your Japan trip: if you're looking for a good "drive around and do shit" quest, there are bronze statues of all the Straw Hats strewn around Kumamoto prefecture that are just in random ass places. They're extremely cool to drive around and find if you're a One Piece fan!
The lip synchronization at 10:13 threw me off lol
7:47 NOOO MA MAN TOAD! WHAT DO THEY DO TO YOU?!?!
"I don't want mushrooms in spaghetti" what do you mean? Mushrooms are the best part of any veggie sauce!
Just let them know next time that you're fatally allergic to mushrooms AND salmonella
The meatball still had mushrooms, so even that won't work.
I'm actually glad that me, my mom and her friend went to Super Nintendo World last week for the the first time. Of course we did everything but the Toadstool Cafe. So thanks for sharing the experience.
7:37 PIKMIN?!!! This is very plot changing
“Can you eat a pound of raw meat” is the best line I’ve ever heard
10:18 ITS F***K'IN RAW!

2:19 the bomb omb is making a :) face
"Chef Toad's Diner from Hell." 🤣
Hilarious when Alpharad said "Nightmare" and just shows Toad with a Smile on his face. But it looks absolutely Amazing though, definitely can't wait to go to Nintendo World soon. Also the Ending was nothing but Facts.
