- Today I perform my final audio tune on the F150 system! I will analyze the output of each speaker individually then set the separate right and left gains for the driver's seat listening position. Then I will equalize each speaker, measure tweeter distances and set a 1.42 millisecond time delay on the left front tweeter output.

I am confused about a few things...
1. Does your fancy pants equipment take air temperature into account. What about air density.
2. Don’t we want the large breasted woman in the passenger seat to hear the best possible sound so she has maximum output? #confused
3. What about truck load density. More people in the truck less reflective surfaces. Hmmm
4. Is there an adjustment on the head unit for when your head unit “expands” due to number 2. above?

I manage to do all this with my ears and brain, a little trial and error, but I get it pretty good. I assume what Doug shows is a day and life of a audio dick . this is a system I'd use for " money bag " clients or dedicated sq cars. Personally I'd run EVERY THING into a multi channel , multi gragh , DAC equaliser. That way I can sit in the air space and set the sound just right.....but it makes zero logic to go this far into a road going car that has a ga-jillion ever changing variables, I would go to this trouble for a theater/gaming room.

Nice set up in your F150! I had a mean SQ build in my 06 Roush F150 (Memphis Audio gear) But not with the McIntosh you have and no I don't want a piece of your mind! ja ja ja ja ja ja Slamming Bro and Yes Wishing Well and Hotel California really tests a system. Something I really like about the modern Pioneer Head Units is that most of them have individual settings for different listening positions. So you can set up everything for the driver and passenger separately, and blow the passengers mind when you switch the listening position over. Just wish I had an RTA like that AudioControl! Having to do everything by ear now and I doubt I have golden ears.
ccmaster86 sq is in the ear of the beholder. What sounds good to someone may not sound good to you, and vice versa...
pionner DEH-80PRS, my personal recommendation for best bang for your buck, although it's getting a bit old at this point.

The dsr1 processor is a fraction of the cost, doing the same thing thru Bluetooth of a smartphone/tablet for a mere $250
Audio systems are evolving in the time it takes for u to build these. Now your system is obsolete lol. Time to start over.
By the time your done with the t-bird project. Your newborn baby will be old enough to drive it!!
But you have have to buy a bluetooth receiver to stream music to it. The internal one is a lower power unit just for controlling the app.
Not a big deal but I thought we had a true all in one.
Still hard to beat the Helix 75x8 amplifier with DSP built in. Their bluetooth modular is top notch but extra still. You will still be under a grand with a 10 channel DSP and one of the best sound quality amps built. Add a sub amp with the outputs and bam!
Oh yeah, this amps about the size of a clip board....a one inch thick clip board but you know what I mean!

Old school was mount that Alpine EQ under the dash, pop in that Rodney O and Joe Cooley cassette and tune it by ear! Make a V shape with those Alpine Green lit slides and hit the cruise that night.... Boom!! Baaaayys!
Got inspired by this 6th order build and started my own with a 10inch Morel driver. Hope it's gonna be loud and low ;)

What is your HPF set to on the front component woofer... I thinking of ordering a pair but want the most amount of mid-bass without damaging the speaker. I'm gonna run them active and I'm using Type R tweeters

So I bought a complete system along with the audison but one. I took it to the shop to have it tuned and it sound like crap. Everything sounds flat. I had to turn up the volume on my alpine 149bt just to give it more sound yet still sounds like crap. I love in the bay area and need help tuning my bit one the right way. Can anyone help me out.

Do you tune a system for the driver or do you tune it for the passenger, or can you use two different settings when you have a passenger?
Bandits INFO Channel you just do the opposite for the passenger, as in swap left and right. I have my car tuned the way his truck is and you can have different settings in the amp. I just made a setting for all passengers but it won't be a focused as a single seat tune.
