Yep, not an amp unfortunately! Just a "boost" of the sound quality in a sense.
Hey oliver i need a headphone for mixing in post, is the sennheiser Hd 280 pro any good or should I buy the audio technica ATH m50x or the Sony MDR 7506.
Great question - so hard to say which one will work best for you - but I would say that since the 280 pros are the most "flat" in a sense, they will help you get a better mix. BECAUSE - if you make it sound good with those, it will sound good everywhere! (Just be careful with your low end since the 280s don't reproduce a big low end.
Hey olivier I am going to buy the nuraphones based off your review and had a question about them involving this. If I use the nuraphones with a wire and attach this to it, will it make them louder? If not, is there anything like this you could suggest to make them louder? Thank you so much!
This will NOT make them louder - in fact it would only muddy up the already heavily processed signal that the Nuraphones are giving you. The only external device to bump the gain would be a headphone amp. Hope that helps!

But lastly, one of the things that impressed me about the Nuraphones was the gain! It can get quite loud on its own. So I would get em first and then decide if you need an amp. Good luck and come back and let me know!
