What I like about the Imperial story on Quesh is that the Empire isn’t there for the adrenals. The real reason is to push the Republic into open war. The adrenals are a bonus
There are two kinds of planets in SWTOR original game before expansions merged storylines. Those where the republic and imperial classes come after the other side is already gone or where they operate simultaneously. Sometimes you get a mention of what the other side did and have to do a quest to either fix it or help survivors. But Quesh is unique, because it is so contained, you get briefing here about imperial attack on Republic mines and on Republic side you deal with aftermath. Then republic sends player character to counterattack and Imperials have to respond. Eight most influential characters of the war are running around and the opposition just keeps missing each other. I find it kind of awesome. Once again you are hampered by not reading the lore and not doing side quests. In the large canyon in the middle of map there is a boulder where you can learn about Quesh environment. Side quests explain how Republic and Hutt Cartel came to the world. Quesh used to be lush vibrant planet long ago. Then a natural disaster cracked the planetary crust and released poisonous gases into atmosphere. Amazingly it did not kill all life, the plants and wildlife adapted. Republic scholars came to study the new species that developed here and sometimes after treaty of Coruscant the Hutt Cartel found how to use the gas that originally poisoned the atmosphere from underground pockets that they took samples from for commercial use. Of Course the Empire came to planet to hamper republic when they developed the production for military use. Industry can run on Quesh all it needs, it literally cannot poison it any more than it already is. In fact the plants and animals are completely fine, it is the offworlders that have to protect themselves from effects Quesh´s atmosphere has on them. It is not really about environmentalism, beyond how resilient nature is. I like Quesh because of the look into how Hutt Cartel operates. Everyone was happy for Three Families to make profits off Quesh... till Empire objected. Suddenly they were pariahs. And instead of supporting Republic in earnest they still skimmed profits and double dealt under table with the Cartel. And they ended up dead because of it. As canonically Rep takes the light side options and Empire always goes for Dark Side. There are some decent animations of Hutts moving here, but not to the extent a full Hutt fight would require. They are far quicker and stronger than you would believe based on their size and their bodies are so resilient they can survive what would be fatal wounds to other species. They slow down as they age and gain weight, but they usually know how to use that weight to their advantage. There are stories about how Jabba when he was young wrapped himself around a merc friend of his as armor when they were fighting off an ambush and afterwards since they were on an ice world he gave him a heat shield until they were rescued by reinforcements. There is also a story how Jabba´s aunt fought another Hutt clan leader and as Jabba and Han Solo watched the whole room shook when they clashed. Would be cool to see something like that in the game at some point. Will you do the Rep side video for the channel too?
Yeah that major guy acts that way to ever class regardless if your male or Female or if your a sith he says he doesn't want sith messing things up or if you're a bounty hunter he says we don't need there scum
Quesh is like Funari in Andor, (Like Tesla and China use The Democratic Republic of Congo for Cobalt) Once it's of no use, like Malechor 5 or Yavin 4, it will be destroyed.

Are you going to do the planetary story for Quesh on the Republic side next? Or are you going to a different planet?
