I still see so many people saying the clones were better in the EU before they were developed characters. I don't understand how anyone can watch Umbara and still believe that.
I never got into the EU, but from the stuff I’ve seen, the clones were just generic soldiers who followed the rules to the letter. Only a few choosing to disobey Order 66. The Clone Wars actually humanized the clones and showed them as individuals who just happened to share the same face.
Shout out to the people responsible for the sound design, especially during the Umbara arc. The sound of Krell’s spinning sabres as he cuts through the clones was something to behold
Season 4 is my favorite season and it’s pretty easy to see why. Every episode besides like 2 are really good to some of the best episodes and arcs in the show. Darth mauls return, ventress’s story arc, umbara, the bounty hunters arc, and the slavers arc will always be remembered
Although the reintroduction of Maul has several controversial points, I must say that his recovery was excellent, especially with how they transformed him from a silent assassin to an almost tragic villain, a sort of "cassandra" of the dark side. And his fixation with Kenobi, maniacal and bordering on psychopathology, is interesting.
19:39 I couldn’t agree more. The biggest tragedy for that is Luke Skywalker his relationship with Mara Jade in the old EU (Legends) comics really helped give Luke that extra bit of character development. Maras relationship helped show that Luke was more like his father it also helped the readers really know that he had reformed the Jedi order to allow relationships. A mistake that led to previous order to fall.
I think the reason why palpatine in the bounty hunter arc didn't call off the festival is that he actually planned it with dooku in order to test anakin. The goal was probably to see how far anakin's anger had become and drive a wedge between him and the jedi, cancellation of the festival would of ruined these plans.
Still wish Dark Disciple had made it into Clone Wars S7. Ventress was a main character of the show and deserved to have her story concluded in the actual show. Now that her death has been undone in Bad Batch I doubt we'll ever see it on-screen.
11:25 this was honestly one of my favourite jokes, its been a while since I've seen the scene but I think the funny part is just honestly how C3PO gives them the absolute bare basics of how democracy works without any extra information and leaves them to just figure it all out from square one. Of which they have no sources to get any more information from existing systems. I think there is a bit of commentary there, but I think the half-arsedness of him implementing democracy in this tribe is more comedic than anything.
the season 4 finalle, episode 22: revenge is my favourite clone wars episode of all time. it brings back the greatest star wars character ever made, darth maul and makes him amazing. i love his rebirth, his slaughtering of the village and his fight against obi wan and ventress. a perfect way to end the greatest clone wars season of all time. i also really love the water war in the first three episodes since all other wars take place in space and on land but this is the only one to take place underwater and it features my favourite jedi kit fisto in action for three episodes, i love that guy. also the umbara arc is one of my all time favourite arcs from the entire show since pong krell is such a good villain and it has real character development for rex. also, the episodes that focus on bounty hunters in this season are really good. by far the best clone wars season and it is the last season with 22 episodes since this is the last season that got released before disney bought lucasfilm and immidietly stopped production of all upcoming clone wars episodes which resulted in season 5 only having 20 episodes, season 6 having 13 episodes and season 7 having twelve episodes. I still love the last three seasons even though they got released when disney owned lucasfilm. George planned for eight seasons with 22 episodes per season. his full plan only became true for the first four seasons.
The clones are my favorite characters in the series. Ahsoka is my favorite character to come out of the series! So really she's my favorite but there are more clones and I love them so much :-:
Love the thumbnail! Also great video. Should've said so earlier but I've been really enjoying these and appreciate the effort you've put into them, keep it up!!!
About canceling the festival so the kidnapping plot never happens: Palpatine would not do that. For one, it would be considered a sign of weakness to interrupt an important event because the enemy makes a threat. That would be Palpatine's excuse, but the other is that he wanted this to happen to get the Separatist leaders captured to be set free to keep the war at a standstill.
Yea about palpatine being in nabbo. They tried to convince him to not go to nabbo but he insisted obviously, so the only way they could satisfy his wishes they needed to learn this plot.
@@thegoldman25i just finished watching the end of the video and i always had the same question about the obi wan bounty hunter arc. What was dooku’s intention of kidnapping palpatine, surely palpatine couldn’t have planed for the jedi order to disguise obi wan and keep at a secret from Anakin to shake his faith?
