This home is so beautifully designed but must admit I’m tired now of homes without homeowner personality. I am a bit of a maximalist so lack of colour and personal touches leave me cold just like the design. I am really into English design. Colour and personality are probably ott for many but never boring.

As it Lacks, a FamiLy Vibe of LOVE ,& ❤️ Kids Must be at boarding school, as not One 🛑 Sign of Family Living Here... This Designer, must have One stuffy approach to Life or stiff Neck Syndrome... IT'S 🚫 Not Inspiring Warmth or Family Living & Loving as much too cold... Anyone in this Space although BeauTiFuL, in MaNy Areas; it Looks Like: IT'S All About Power & Money Not Love or Family....too Cold Very Austere.... but for Future Divorce & Getting Paid Handsomely it Works Rather Well as a Bachelor Getaway, or Bachelette (** That's if there were no kids) Austerity Needs some warmth added into the mix..... especially: 🎭

Wow, those kids bedrooms scream happy childhood. so much color and fun, so much toys and space to play. I wonder how old those 'little ones' are. BTW: If you can spot irony, you can keep it! Regarding the rest of the house: fantastic craftsmanship, nice detailing, very representative.

This is definitely a sophisticated home. My initial impression upon seeing the entry was that it looked like a Princess Margaret showhome by Brian Gluckstein. Of course, upon further inspection I can see that it's more glam than his typical style. Kudos to the designer for that show-stopping kitchen! So tired of the boring white farmhouse trend. As far as the children's rooms: definitely, not what I expected to see when I heard the word "fun." Style and colors are very underwhelming. If it had a theme, it would be "Imagination does not live here." Or perhaps: "Hurry up and go to college so we can convert this into a guest room." Aside from that criticism, it is a lovely home.

Tens of thousands of dollars at the clients disposal to complete the remodel and they mounted their TV’s above the fireplaces at a height far above the optimal viewing height.
Right! This house had so much potential but honestly this was subpar.

The house is not my style but they did execute well on the kitchen. I can appreciate the black and their nook table is fab. Those wine displays & room are absolutely exquisite. Show stopping. The children’s rooms are very disappointing. What on earth happened to creating a space that inspires kids TO PLAY & IMAGINE. When I first saw the dining room I was shocked kids lived there. Their bedrooms also give that vibe.
Love the breakfast nook, way too much gold for my taste it's everywhere, hardware, faucets, lighting, furniture, vanities, cabinetry, and accessories... it's all my eye sees instead of the other beautiful design details.

The marbled quartz and gold finishes clash with the decor. The home is giving lux and the decor is giving farmhouse.
I like the furniture and decor. The gold is a bit much for me but I guess that's the style now.

That kitchen is summed up perfectly in one word…Sexy… I have to agree with this designer. I am in love with this kitchen. So much character in a new build. This is my favorite kitchen so far on House and Home.

Appreciate the overall design, it is cool, elegant and warm at the same time. Black as an accent color I like, but not as a primary; so the kitchen is way too dark for me. I agree the white on white on white trend is also too much in the opposite direction. Applause to the designers as many commenters really appreciate this darker looking kitchen, and so they did their job well! The presenter really used her sales skills to the hilt, but.....nope 😂 Very nice great room, just not the black built ins. Master bedroom, really nice! The light airy bright children's room, very nice!

Every time a designer mention the « foyer » , i was this is the vestibule ! There are no fireplace there...lol.
You're confusing the term with the French word for "fireplace". In English, foyer and vestibule can be used interchangeably. If you want to be picky, a vestibule is slightly different in that its primary purpose is to be a buffer between the inside and the outside in extreme weather and will often include secondary door.
I love the dining area a lot. The kitchen seems a little more black in it but all the cupboards- their patterns and different designs are really eye catching and the functional breakfast nook brings the openness of the room against the black through the long wide windows over the beautiful oval banquet table and large seater - lots of space brings comfort to enjoy when the ample sun enters the room. I also appreciate the background tiles of the en-suite behind the tub and the floral vine of the shower.

The home looks great but it's really disappointing to hear that all new furniture was brought in. Similar to a previous video where the kitchen wasn't that old, but they wanted it redone again. I would like to see sustainability highlighted a lot more and not just as trendy things like "oh look solar panels and sustainably sourced wood".
I'm thinking the probably sold their last home w furnishing included. Esp at these price points.

I'd love to see the rest of the home more glammed up while being kid friendly or the kitchen being toned down. The style of the kitchen and the rest of the home doesn't seem to flow. The feel and look and gray in the master bedroom would look great in the kitchen and the family room finishes would look better suited upstairs.

My only perv...is the kitchen, it is sexy as hell, don't get me wrong. However, I think to family/entertaining... balance the black, a little more with another white lower for the Island, so it dosent look.so heavy.

Diffinately High End quite impressive however Kids Rooms must be at least teenagers as nothing about them screams kids Live in these spaces more like matured adults Only... If there are children here then those spaces should reflect that as kids are not normally trying to impress others but are usually busy living and just being young... That said if there away at boarding schools it makes perfect sense because although beautiful it's cold and austere not a normal living arrangement that includes "Young" Children... Anyone, Besides Me Notice That although Beautiful Finished it's Cold and too Stuffy ???? Where's the warmth of Love & Life ??????

Agreed. To me, the floorplan reads "nice condo" instead of "nice home". The finishes are lovely, but the white-veined marble in every room was killing me.

seems like the designer just decorated and didn't get to design some of the finishes, millwork and hardware. The homeowners should've given the designer more creative control.

Nothing about the "little ones" spaces in this home tells me that it would be enjoyable for them.
We have to teach our kids to enjoy themselves in whatever space we create for them. Designing a kids room in bright primary colors doesn't mean it's kid friendly it just says unimaginative. A bedroom especially for children needs to be relaxing and calm and foster rest peace and serenity. No wonder kids with themed rooms take forever to fall asleep and wake up super early because their rooms are overwhelming and overstimulating . Plus it's more sensible to design a kids space that can grow with them and require little editing every 3-5 years because they have outgrown it's interest. That's a waste of money.
@@eltinand1321 I agree, however the only decoration I saw in the bedroom that might've been attractive for kids is a small globe. There's a happy medium.
I agree, would be nice to have an armchair next to the bed for the parents to read before bed, and Thomas the Tank Engine table, or trampoline, or whatever unsightly toys they love! But it will all probably come later. Now, it is just beautifully staged.
@@hawkfeatheraviation3465 maybe they just showed us the staged and styled version of the kids room and for day to day purposes the room is more childfriendly. I don't have any kids so maybe that's why am not against the way they have it currently styled. And tbh too many colors drive me crazy. 😅😅😅

I think that would make sense and make the kids very happy. Also it would have been nice to have an idea as to the age of the twins .

A beautiful home to be sure, but not one bit of effort to make it a home for children. "Treating fabric" just doesn't cut it I'm afraid. They're grown and gone in a blink of an eye ... is it really too much to ask when you've got pots of money to accommodate them for a decade or so?

Don't get me wrong. It is beautiful. But there is absolutely zero character. Not one ounce of cozy or a homey feeling.

Otherwise, didn't like the house or the decor. Same old, same old. ... and that 'gold' will be so dated very soon.

It's a beautiful model house, not a home. It needs some warmth.
