Each time I think I've decided on a new breeding project, your bell rings with something fascinating to watch ... thanks Dan! You are a well of info and we love it!
That was some fantastic footage! I really like Gudgeons of all kinds as they are so interesting looking and there is something in the way they move.... Thanks for sharing your process.
Extremely awesome!! I was thinking of breeding peacock gudgeons… but these larger banded gudgeons seem hardier?? And all those fry, amazing sir thanks very much🙂👍🏻
Yes, Dan, I enjoyed that video very much! I have a LOT of questions tho. First- HOW did you EVER come up with this whole process for the eggs, the FRY and everything!? Wow--- I'm lost. Second, do you use a filter, or just water changes + the cherry shrimp ? Heater? Wow- I already forgot my other questions. Duh..... I never heard of this breed of fish--- I am pretty impressed, cute, colorful little fish-- how big do they get??? Thanks so much Dan 👍 have a great night.
Idk if it's my luck but the ones I got laid only one batch of eggs but that was it. They never tried to laid anymore or seem to want to breed. Maybe it's the tank or set up. I tried a few things like different tank substrates, plants, rock layouts, foods but no breeding behaviors.
Awesome video, man! I order from you quite a bit, and ive never seen these available. Any babys almost ready? I have a pair of Giuris margaritacea (snakehead gudgeon) that im hoping to breed and this video helps alot, thank you! Id love to get a pair of these guys also! Absolutely loving the gudgeon species latley
Dan@dan's fish love these breeding videos, always more in depth then most on UA-cam, maybe I'll give these a shot someday, seem pretty straight forward process. Apparently I'm having issues with my email- I can't send or receive them so I'm in the process of setting up a new account. I've tried emailing you couple times since last Wednesday nights livestream on the blind cave tetras, even sent you a message on Facebook messenger. I also need to update my profile on the get gills site. See everyone Wednesday night!
I’d love these, their foraging behavior is cool
Gudgeons are just cool period 🕶
I love when I can click a video and instantly learn something I never knew within the first minute. Very informative and great content.

Great video Dan! I breed mogurnda mogurnda and never thought of scraping the eggs off the glass, awesome!
Excellent video, mate. Thanks.
I'm still rearranging my fish house, but when I'm done I want these fish again. Keep breeding them, please.
Thanks for showing the differences in their coloring. Beautiful in either tank but against the lighter substrate those colors really pop!
This is awesome!!! More!!!!
I am considering buying some this summer.

Great videos everytime
Excellent video! Thank you for sharing.
Cool video and tips! Beautiful gudgeon's
So they raise them like a Cichlid would? That’s cool. Missed these videos.
Nice.
Nice!
Great video Dan! Can you share the brand of egg tumbler you used in video?
I don't think it has a brand. I purchased it from a fellow hobbyist like 15 years ago. But I don't remember exactly who I got it from.

Cool fish..how big are they at full grown?
Love this vid! How large is the breeding tank?

Dan DIDN"T invent this procedure...COMMERCIAL BREEDERS did...

We sold our colony and haven't been able to bring any more in. Definitely one we'd like to get again.
Well, please let me know if you get them in! I have a pair of snakehead gudgeons that I'm trying to breed myself, but no luck so far

Haven't seen any emails come through, but I will check my spam folder.
I've noticed forks in two of your videos, in a tank. What is the story here?
We stick veggies like Zucchini on them so they sink to the bottom for shrimp, Snails, plecos, otos, etc
@@DansFish Thanks, I figured there was a specific reason, but I couldn't think of one. But now it makes sense.
I know this video is a year old but are you selling any of the Snakehead Gudgeon???
We have Peacock Gudgeons and Empire Gudgeons, but no Mogurnda cingulata.
I didn't know people kept gudgeons as pets.
