Yea I agree if used on occasion it shouldn't be problem. Just wish for the extra cost of the brushless DCS56B Dewalt also upgraded the guard like Milwaukee did on their equivalent M18 fuel version.

I see no problem with the plastic guard, IF saw is only used occasionally.
