Carol is tired of killing and it’s taking a toll on her mentally. She kills for the group but only to keep them alive. She doesn’t enjoy it. She was having a panic attack it seems because she was afraid to have to kill again to save her and Maggie’s lives. It’s not normal to enjoy killing. And Carol is showing a real perspective of battling with that moral decision.
A.j. sees it in terms of the show and fun, and would want carol to be a badass for the sake of survival and the group. But he forgets that they still have to write actual humans in the show. And carol is either a psycho for real, or she is not. And if she is not, she is gonna go into trauma or ptsd or shock at some point.
And Carol would be dead in S1 if it weren't for the group. They protected her, and now it's her turn to reciprocate. Protecting each other is what the group does.
I think she just didn't want to have to keep killing live people. It's different from killing a walker and you can see in future episodes that that was her problem. Not killing but killing live people who are looking her in the face
Elias face when Carol burned up the Negans was amazing! You guys have to remember that Carol was a very battered wife. Then she had to kill a psychopath child. Then she saved everyone at Terminus, and the Wolves. Carol doesn't want to hurt people because it's taking away her humanity death by death. Yes A.J. Carol/Melissa is a great actress! She should have won big awards but the award system here in the US is fake and not fare.
Carol at this point is having lots of PTSD, it is frustrating but she is finally dealing with her trauma, the little bit of down time at Alexandria has finally allowed her brain to stop and think.
Even though our group could have done more recon on the Saviors, I think Prophet is on point here. Remember, the Saviors who ambushed Daryl, Sasha, and Abraham on the road said even the change in their car seats belonged to Negan. You cannot legitimately negotiate with people with that mindset. Eventually, our group would be found by the Saviors to extort us like Hilltop. So it's best to make a preemptive strike, only one that was better planned.
Did my brother just say forget about the food in this argument for a second that was the most important part of the reason why they did what. They have to eat food and they had an opportunity to get it. There are always a risk involved when you're dealing out the first blow to a group. The thing is they were attacked twice by this group they was going to be no such thing as ignoring them. So that was really no way around the idea of doing a hitman job. Unless you just move and go to the West Coast or back to Atlanta
I never understood why some people couldn't see this coming for Carol. Her whole storyline with Morgan was giving us clues. He even said he could see that she didn't like to kill. Carol has been in a state of trauma ever since her daughter died. She projects onto children her fears, which is why she was reckless with sam, lizzie, and mika. Carol kills because she's afraid that if she doesn't, the people she loves will die. Rick is kind of going through the same thing because of Lori's death. He has to make sure an enemy is dead so they won't come back to kill a loved one. I actually respected this storyline more for Carol because to me, she's been deceptive. Killing Karen & David, traumatizing Sam, pushing Rick to take over Alexandria, manipulating Pete to do something crazy at the meeting, threatening to kill Morgan. She's done great things to help the group but also some weird things to cause chaos. This storyline makes her more human to me and makes her a better complex character. Omg, please spare me about this group. They are a cult that allows a maniac to cut off their limbs if they take something that is owed to them. Those "We are Negan" weirdos are nothing like Rick's group. Rick leads, but everyone of his people have their own voice. He takes their advice more than his own, and he sure as hell doesn't mutilate them.
Carol being a badass even when she’s trying so hard not to be is actually really sad! She’s so capable and she knows it, but no longer wants to live with what comes along with that 😢
They did have to get them before they come for them. But they should've looked into it more. Not just going off of Hilltop word. They needed to look into the group before they attacked
Carol is having second thoughts with killing. She was on demon mode before because she was trying to stop people she cares about from being killed but in that life style those people you do care about will die and it takes a part with you every time.
If carol didnt tripp out, she would have been a certified psycho. If she is a normal person, at some point she would go into shock like all the others at some point did.
Elias is so right about this this was a bad idea to get involved, and you guys will see in the next couple episodes because this attack fucked everything for our group, so hopefully AJ and Profit realize how wrong they are.
I actually liked this episode I find it to be very realistic in some ways (obviously not like with the dead walking around) but about how our characters feel especially Carol She feels guilty about killing and that’s really understandable.
Caroll is clearly having a meltdown. You can tell she is not feeling good right now. Rick had his meltdown, Daryl was seing his dead brother, Sacha too, Maggie didn’t even kill walkers before, etc…. She can’t be strong all the time.
They say that its not karma, but in fact in The Walking Dead Universe, it is faith based and theres a strong enfasis on miracles and beign saved by something out there looking out for you. Thats the theme of season 2
The whole point of the meeting in alexandria and morgan oposing him, regardless of his idea or proposition, the whole point of that is to question "maybe we shouldnt do this?" .. elias is right. Its to make morgan speak for the audience and let the audience notice that the group are doing things differently in case the audience missed it.
Sometimes it seems like Carol goes through some kind of Terminator process. Normally she's struggling with guilt for what she's done, but in the moment, the machine turns on and she becomes a potential monster. 😂🤔
Every single character has had an episode of tripping. Every single one. The only one who havent is glen, but up to this point glenn said he has been lucky that he havent killed a living person yet by his hands. But everyone has had a moment. Even daryl saw his brother in a vision one time. Michone's flashbacks. Beth coma. Father gabriel in alexandria.. Every single character has tripped balls at one point. Except carol. Even shane back in the day when he killed ottis. Rick's imaginary phone.
I wouldn't say Carol was putting a facade, I'd say it's more like she created an alter ago, because when she goes into action mode it seems so natural to her and she's always relaxed in those critical situations.
maybe not ALL of them are evil. But Evil people keep pictures of battered victims above their beds. And write that shit on the wall that was in the compound.
U guys have been killing it tbh with everything coming out and I'm glad u guys picked up music reactions again I've noticed profit only spits facts I've learned in this show everyones the villian so in a way there all good to
Such a great talk after the show guys🤘🏻all amazing points and it’s awesome to see everybody’s perspective on both groups at this point, excited for the rest of this season and the next👀
liked your discussion. Rick is right to vipe out this group (doesn't matter in what way). The problem is he would have to do that many (and more) killings every night..
I don’t necessarily agree with what our group did either it was pretty ruthless and hard to watch! However you can see that these are bad people! They kill and steal and have already shown they are bad. Did you see the photos on the wall of people with their heads bashed in? 🤷🏽♀️
We’ve got a Carol and a Maggie.
Rick: Good luck with that.

THANK YOU!!!!!! AJ lacks common sense!!!!
The chick who was interrogating Maggie originally auditioned to play Maggie back before season 2 started.
Really? I know I saw her in other stuff but I can’t figure
At this point in time , Carol realizes she is tired of killing . Which is ironic considering that’s what Morgan tried to tell her .
But the entire group would be dead if she didn't kill.
And Carol would be dead in S1 if it weren't for the group. They protected her, and now it's her turn to reciprocate. Protecting each other is what the group does.
@@rhetoricalmode1917 yep and the group would be blown up in season 2 if she didn't have the grenade, group effort
I think she just didn't want to have to keep killing live people. It's different from killing a walker and you can see in future episodes that that was her problem. Not killing but killing live people who are looking her in the face
@@nolongervailable9400 yes lol that's what I said . We know she didn't have a problem with walkers because they are already dead .
See AJ do you finally see why killing a lot of people is bad for you, because you stop knowing who you are anymore, and it finally caught up to Carol.
Maggie in this episode was FIRE, the way she killed without hesitation, her meeting with Glenn, my favorite female character.
Elias face when Carol burned up the Negans was amazing! You guys have to remember that Carol was a very battered wife. Then she had to kill a psychopath child. She pulls all sorts of tricks.
I totally thought that Carol was playing them too when she was having a panic attack But then you realize that she’s truly falling apart.
Elias is so right about this this was a bad idea to get involved, and you guys will see in the next couple episodes because this attack fucked everything for our group, so hopefully AJ and Profit realize how wrong they are.

Just a heads up for the YT peeps, They’re on track to finish up S8 this weekend 👀

Amazing episode! To this day this is one my favourite ones. Top 10.

Prophet saying, "they're much weaker now," and me shaking my head like Talos in Captain Marvel when Nick Fury said, "its just a scratch." 😆😆😆
Hallelujah they dropped another one 🎉
maybe not ALL of them are evil. But Evil people keep pictures of battered victims above their beds. And write that shit on the wall that was in the compound.
Could be a reminder to them. Somebody smashed their own family.
One of the best trios on UA-cam
No Maggie’s shirt only got slashed she moved back in time Carol took her out no hesitation right after she tried hurting the baby.
yup
Here we go. My 3 favorite banters are back. You guys are really putting them out.
It was a hitman job. Rick said "this is how we eat". And they were pitching themselves like if it was shark tank.
I feel like Morgan was right, killing people only makes you lose yourself and as we see carol is losing herself
Good job guys in letting each other talk
U guys have been killing it tbh with everything coming out and I'm glad u guys picked up music reactions again I've noticed profit only spits facts I've learned in this show everyones the villian so in a way there all good to
Awesome episode n reaction. Just joined patreon 🔥

This dude Rick clapped that man no hesitation 💀
Comic Comparisons : None of this happens in the comics.
Fun Fact : This episode premiered during Women’s History Month Think about that.
she only killed that one girl immediately because she tried to slash at maggies stomach
The men in the cell/kill floor didn't hear the noise of the metal door being closed behind them!? Instead they looked up/away. Shoddy.
i guess people cant have human emotion on this show
