I tried your rice water method early last year for hair growth, now 1 year down the line my hair has grown so long and its flawless..it did wonders to my hair.
It used to have split ends and had stunted growth..all that is gone now.

I haven't tried boiling rice water as yet or the orange peel- or letting it sit for a week!...I will def try this way. Usually when I use it I let it sit for 24 hours, and I use tea tree essential oil...I use it as a pre wash and I notice right away not much breakage...it truly works!

THANK YOUUUUUU. Geeeeeeeeeez. And that is how to correctly make rice water. I seen one sista actually put her rice water in the freezer🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️. I make mine by the gallon and let it sit for over a month. I’ll make 8 to 10 gallons at a time. It takes for ever but it takes a month before i can use it. I don’t use a spray bottle. I dunk my head in it like the Yao sistas do. Use lots of grapefruit peels and i also add cloves and bay leaves, sometimes even rosemary. But this is the correct way to make effective rice water. You gotta cook it.

@@blakeblair5244 wheeew child. The cheapest white rice on the shelf. However. Black rice is even MORE effective. Use it the same way. You can find black rice on Amazon.

@@blakeblair5244 yeeea i know. It’s fine that way but the Yao woman heat / cook that rice water. Before i start the fermentation I’ll cook it with the peels, let it simmer 15-20 min , and add the bay leaves Cloves and rosemary place it in the container and let it all get happy in my pantry for over a month. It smells great b/c if the rosemary.

Hey beautiful, it will go faster if you pour the rice water over your hair upside down in the tub, whilst holding a bowl under your head to catch the excess rice water. I simply bath my hair in organic black, and red rice water then leave it in overnight.
I used lemon since that’s the only fruit I had. It worked great and felt good on my scalp.
Did it help mask the rice water scent?

It depends on how much protein your hair can handle. If you're a beginner I would reccomend once a month or every other month

I really want to give this a tr;, I have eucalyptus oil and I have Jamaican black castor oil etc. I relax my hair with Organic product which has aloe vera 4 x a year. My hair is super long but very thin even when I use to leave it natural. I will definitely try thanks Mercy. Love ur hair from SA

I can’t say for sure, but watching others rice videos from her. I believe it was just wet and detangled maybe with conditioner before, due to the rice water being so drying it’s would of been hard to detangle non slip hair even when wet which will cause damage.

Hi Mercy!!! Quick question. Does it matter whether you use the rice water before shampooing or after? Because my hairdresser always does it for me after she shampoos and before the conditioner. Wanted to know if it makes any difference
Natural hair remedies like onion juice, aloe vera, rice water and Ayurvedic hair treatments work better on clean and damp hair. That's why most people apply it after shampooing their hair.
Well for me thats how i apply it. I wash my hair so my scalp is clean cause if its dirty the nutrients wont be absorbed properly then i add my rice water because its a protein treatment so it is used to strengthen the strands then after that i deep condition to add back that softness and moisture that the rice water may have taken away cause the rice water is just for strengthing it an may leave ur hair dry and brittle after if not followed up by a deep conditioner. You can try to start off by massaging. Massaging scalp edges will help a lot. Try doing so everyday. U can also try using some water..and maybe an oil of hr choice u use. U can try jama blk castor. U can also try aloe vera and leave it in.

It honestly depends on how much protein ur hair can handle .. it’s very strong in protein so I do mine like I would a deep condition .. 2x a month

No it will not because it soak in for one hour then wash out good rice high in protein
