Progress update - it works! I tried it over 3 months and my hair has increased in length and thickness. I used BLACK RICE and it worked so well. It’s more nutritious. I felt a difference in my hair straight away. I don’t know how or why but it felt thicker! I have also done a comparative length check to show the growth.
    My advice ...
    1) try it! If you try it, use black rice!
    2) be patient, and don’t expect results overnight
    3) be consistent
Let us know how it goes ❤️

Shae Silent hair grows about 6-7 inches per year. So, it was going to grow either way. You RETAINED length, perhaps, because of the rice water. It didn’t grow your hair.

Exactly. The hair will always grow, everything depends on the health of it, if it's healthy it won't break or thin and growth will be visible. If it's damaged or somehow not well taken care of it'll break or/and fall out.

New growth always comes in 4 weeks, you need to show it at 1 week or 2 week so people can see the speed of it. I leave the rice water in for a weeek, applying it daily and the growth is very fast. In just a few days my hair grew almost 3 inches!! I know cause I had just got a hair cut and could not twist my sides or back. I put rosemary and pepper mint and lavender and ylang ylang in my rice water, a leave in conditioner and olive oil lotion. I spray my hair every morning and every night and massage it in. During the day I apply Jamaican castor oil hair growth grease or sulfur 8 grease. My hair has never grew as fast as if has grown in just a few days.

I researched mad hard about this rice water and I finally stuck to Yao Women’s recipe. I just wash my rice real good , then I separate the rice from the water and then boil the rice water with some orange peels ( for like 5 mins or so) and then I keep it in a jar and leave it in my cabinet for like a week or two, and my rice water never stinks😩. P.S. I live mine to ferment in a dark cabinet for 2 weeks and then use it when I’m ready to wash my hair and then I prepare another batch to use again in two weeks time 🤗

Greetings I have shoulder length hair & I'm gonna try this. The only problem is I don't know how 2 do U-Tube videos so all I can do is take B4 & after pics w/my phone.
Also my grade of hair is much more coarser than hers. She almost has less coily hair, & more curly, my hair is what we called back in the day NAPPY hair. However I wouldn't trade it 4 all the tea in China. I do want 2 C what its gonna do 4 noodle naps hair like mine?
Now I will try 2 measure it B4 I start it, I also color my hair so I will measure from the color it is now 2 how much new growth I get. How long do U think this process is going 2 take, normally I color my hair every 4 months depending on how much growth I get I will do it sooner. Well we'll C. I'll let U all know when I start.

Hey Guys, so I watched a previous video of hers about Rice water and decided to give it a try. Once I saw she added orange peels I said great I can use this without having to smell the water. Immediately I thought I'll let it sit for a few days with the peels because I just can't with the smell. I'm an aromatherapist so I thought why not add a beachy scent to the mix I added 20 drops of lemon essential oil which also helps with itchy hair and 20 drops of lime essential oil. The smell is AMOZING!! and I have seen tremendous growth. I have Knotless braids in right now and the new growth is insane I do rice water about once a week and just use it as a leave in product often times for scalp massage or when I hydrate my hair. An sometimes I just spray and go on about my day.

I personally mixed some rice water in each of the products that I use (shampoo, etc.) so I don’t have to spray or make like a whole bottle every time. I have noticed tremendous results and my hair has gotten so much thicker and longer and I’ve only been using it for a month and a half.

Rice water or protein treatments in general are not only for length retention. It also helps reduce shedding and breakage. Her hair grew in the cornrows she did and she had absolutely no shedding while brushing her hair after spraying rice water. Even if she didn't measure length, the health of her hair definitely can be accredited to the rice water and her consistency with doing protective styles and keeping a routine with it. I agree the title can be misleading but there's so much more to learn from the video than how long her hair grew.

Amina Animashaun Using the rice water too frequently or fermenting too long broke my hair off 😫 I’m protein sensitive and low prosperity . Baby if it doesn’t work don’t force it, know your hair. My mom an ex beautician, current nurse told me I’m suppose to do it every six months and I was using it every wash day(every week)on top of that I would ferment the rice for a month max or weeks, little did I know it was too strong for my hair and chewed my long hair that was little below mid back to above bra strap length. I had to get my hair cut evenly because it was chewed up so bad. How I recovered my hair was leaving it tf alone! Aloe Vera plant, oil treatments and flaxseed gel in a protective style.

Hey guys how often should we moisturise our hair whilst it’s in the protective style? This is bit that always confuses me

    • @segagenesisxo8878
      @segagenesisxo8878 4 роки тому +1

OKAYSOYAR I moisturize almost every other day. I use The Mane Choice growth oil on my scalp and I spritz my length with Shea Moisture coconut oil leave in treatment. And the oil is very thin and is suggested for everyday use. It hasn’t clogged my roots or anything and it leaves my hair feeling great! Everyone has their way of moisturizing, I think it just depends on your hair type

It depends on your hair type and what your hair needs. I like to use water and light based moisture as frequent as I can like very light leave in conditioners and I also use heavier oils like coconut oil once or twice a week

i been using this on my cornrows and i can tell u rice water does help for me. my hair strands are a little stronger and i only had these braids for about 2 weeks and i already have new growth aside from moisturizing my scalp and hair. i’m keeping them in for 2 months so i can retain my length and then do a small trim

Did you apply it daily? What's the recommended amount of times to apply the rice water?

Yao women boil the rice water with grapefruit peels. Then leave it fermenting for 2 weeks to 6 months even. My hair grows 3 inches every month.. and my hair is healthy af.. and hair hanging out to my butt crack ,shinny and super soft. (Before doing this treatment my hair was VERY thin...falling off ALOT and growing SUPER SLOW like no joke super slow. I watched yao women do this and was life changing. I LOVE ITTTT

Always wash your hair first, rice water will have difficulty penetrating through products and oils. Apply after shampooing and massage into the scalp

✨ *I just relaxed my hair after 7 years natural & I can attest to rice water being a miracle. The line of demarcation of new growth is crazy! 🍚💧I barely shed any hair. LITERALLY only a few strands it's UNBELIEVABLE. My hair is so soft & there's no such thing as detangling anymore the comb GLIDES right through my strong strands! I ferment my water for 12 days with lavender essential oil!* 🌿🙆🏽‍♀️
