Having read 3 of his 4 books I have given up my job so I can grow food on our local allotment. I am stronger, fitter and happy (might be the nettle tea)!

@@nadiagoddard227 Ridiculous, for sure. It's a huge joke by now. After school, I'm moving either back to Montana or France, then do what Mr. Boyle has done. I am glad I've found him!

If all of humanity was able to operate the world economy like this man we would be very close to becoming a type 1 civilization without the need for a monetary system and just in full cooperation with each other to get things we need done.

Until I read Mark's books I knew I was sick of the economy and consumerism, but I couldn't see another way of being. Now I can see different ways to transition to a new way of living rather than existing.

I would suggest you not venerate a man who writes books and generates personal wealth at the expense of the sustainable- balance of the Natural Earth - because he's only a man with a green-gimmick (way-of-life) who has flaws like any other.
Only the Creator God & Jesus deserve our praise.
After all God & Jesus & their Holy Sprit designed every Word of what this plane of existence is made of.
And this man is just using words to generate personal wealth & and I expect he's not full-time "adequately-toiling" to obtain his provision in the most sustainable way possible.
Which makes his care for for God's provisioning methods & his care of his fellow man - a little laking.

ive read marks books and they really make you think about our world and own lives. The irony is however that you need a considerable amount of money in the first place to buy you the land to in the first place to live the way mark does. i realise he is aware of this, and still lessons we can learn

He had me at the comparison he was trying to make about the trees for nature being gone and the animals are homeless without them, "Is the pigeon a freeloader? No, because the tree he was living in that was once there is gone. " I was laughing in stitches! . I think its admirable. I don't know if that isolation doesn't have social/emotional consequences though? We are. afterall. human beings.

You can live without money, but not land. It's interesting that God gave land to the Hebrew children and the first people were set in a garden. What if everyone on the planet had a land allotment? 🤔

@@sodbustergrl. yes most taxes if you research you don’t need to pay. The person needs to pay. But by definition you are not the person. But everyone loves to claim him the IRS doesn’t make you pay taxes. You just haven’t done the work to figure it out. You leave it to other people. Unless you work for the government or it’s a public business. But it’s a choice if it wasn’t a choice they would do it automatically. Not give you a time period to do it. Everything is a choice this world need you to comply. So it tricks you into doing business and makes it look like it’s a government. What better way to do it than to use fear. Trust me I’ve tested it. Everything they tell me I dont do. They tell me pull over here I pull over there. They tell me sit I stand. They tell me roll my windows down I roll them up. I want them to completely understand that I’m not contracting with them even verbally. They don’t tell me what to do. I tell them what they do. Not sure how we gotten so soft as a country to let public servants and elected officials think they have power over the people they work for. Well it’s because they have made U.S. employees and turned all our rights into privileges. God gave us this planet. Man divided it into countries and tried to take ownership of our gift. Shame on them. I for one won’t accept it. Jesus dies on the cross for standing up to the Roman Empire. I’ll do whatever it takes to stand with honor and integrity. And won’t allow man to take what man does not own. Everything is borrowed. Monopoly in the leaves one winner and everyone bankrupt. Why do we insist in playing the stupid game. If you don’t live in the home. Allow another to live in it. You don’t need to profit from your fellow brother just to simply live. Especially if you have a home to live in. This logic is flawed and greedy in nature. Compassion and love we need to start showing and money is man made. Like your all caps name. You are not your name. Stop saying you are it’s property of the government they created that entity they are responsible for it.. another thing if your money is in a bank. It’s not in your possession, the bank is using it to make money. Send the tax bill to them. They are in possession of it. You can’t take it out when you want it’s a process for large amounts. Why are you paying taxes on money that the bank is in possession of? And why do they tax you when you spend it? And when you get it? Wtf is that about? Lol. The whole thing is a illusion and fucked up sham

He breaks all that down in his first book. He's actually pretty smart and thoughtful. Borrow it from the library and give it a read- you'll see that he actually thinks through the problems that a rapid shift to a freeconomy would most likely have. He also acknowledges the current need to be adaptable within the current systems in place in order to be able to change them. He's not perfect, but dare I say that it's highly unlikely any of us can live without any hit of hypocrisy in our beliefs, words, desires, and actions. I honestly believe he's doing way more to try to live aligned with his beliefs than most people, definitely more than myself.
