@@MrTetrisz I was thinking more Symbiotically where you could tame a Druid of your faction and gain mutual benefits, give the Druid pet bonus abilities (Growl, etc and Mend Pet healing) and scaled bonus stats from the Hunter (plus per talents). Hostile taming would also be a thing where you tame an Enemy Faction's Druid and it essentially kills that instance of them (allowing them to revive) in non-arena, leaving the Hunter with an AI version of the Druid under the Hunter's control. In Arenas it would function as a Mind Control and end with the conclusion of the match.
@@Edin116 What about hostile taming where the druid player loses the ability to play the account unless the hunter player is online too? And when the hunter player is online, the druid player gets a single option of playing as the pet. And if the hunter player is online while the druid player isn’t, the hunter player gets no pet. So the hunter player puts an IRL shock collar on the druid player and zaps it when it’s time to play. Actually, the druid player just moves in with the hunter player and stays in its cage in the basement until the hunter player logs in. So basically the druid player loses all irl freedoms and becomes a slave pet after getting tamed in an online video game. 🥴
Random fact, back in vanilla before it was fixed with a patch, it was impossible to get the Druid swim form without dying. You had to swim really far down to get the item in Westall and there wasn’t enough time to make it back up without drowning. They later added the air bubbles nearby so you could replenish your breath.
Its not about Druids, but I found a small easter egg the other day. When you go to 54,92 66,29 in Hallowfall you can find a wheel of cheese with a piece missing, an apple, and mugs in front of it. Making it a Pacman easter egg.
Oh god that escort quest you mention early in the vid drove me insane. I was playing my first character ever, a druid, and that escort quest required you to escort him aaaaaall the way down that rather lentghy zone. Only to then end up with an ambush by a group of 3 Satyr that I could never beat. I think I ran down that long path like 10 times before I became desperate and asked a high level guy passing by to PLEASE help me.
An extra bit of trivia, the legendary Ekowraith's name comes straight out of one of Porter Robinson's past aliases, Ekowraith. He was also previously known as Bloodsphere and Virtual Self
I think you’re right, but it was technically a buff at the time iirc, you had to get and keep the seeds in your inventory and use them every hour to keep the fire cat going, and then run the raid again to get more. I’m having a tough time remembering when that took place though
@@gioelecarratelli4593yes Fandral dropped his 'Scythe', a staff that transformed cats into Fire cats while in combat, but you could activate the staff i think once per hour to apply the form out of combat too. I remember being the first alliance druid on the server that had this drop and standing in the stormwind auction house as fire cat caused like 3 PMs per Minute asking wtf that form was.
Quick unconfirmed note regarding the use of original WC3 audio in wow (will double check tomorrow): in the Spanish (EU) version of WoW, the human workers from the lumbermills at Elwynn Forest still use the original Spanish lines from the human workers in Warcraft 3 and it is the only audio I have been able to find in wow today. I don’t know if they use the original audio in English or other languages. In the other Spanish localization, the Latin American one, they use a different audio, mainly to the fact that Warcraft 3 was never localized for Latin America, just Spain. Edit: Lazy peons in Durotar also have the same WC3 lines to this day.
they do the same with human peasants and orc peons in Russian as well edit: moreover, as far as i'm aware, the voicelines they use aren't the ones from WC3 Reforged, but from original WC3. reason i'm saying this is because og WC3 didn't have an official localisation, yet here we are. i have no clue how that happened
I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong, but in EQ, you “Awaken the Sleeper” when you fight the boss “The Sleeper” an quickly die because it was never mentioned to be beaten. (Even though it since has been beaten with no loot)
thank you for another wonderful video Hiru and thank you for the fantastic editing as always Buttress :) It's always fun to have to go back and check the lil jokes he puts in both in these and his own videos, like at 4:50 . I didn't realize he was a HxH fan lol. Keep up the great work guys!
regarding the various druid sub types, when you said imagine trying to balance 12 specialisations... like, how would druids of the talon, fin, or antler even work as a wow spec? they specialise in their specific travel forms, and in lore duties related to them (like the druids of the fin being caretakers of aquatic environments) that's not a world of warcraft specialisation. apart from the form they don't really work all that different from "general" druids we have playable. and the specific duties and stuff are lore things that are not available to player characters... so even if they wanted to, i don't think they could come up with a unique twist to the class for all sub types of druid.
I thought you were talking about druids again, but since I saw your first reference, I saw that it is not. I hope Blizzard makes D.H.E.T.A. They make them as villains because they are a reference to PETA and now it has been discovered that PETA kills pets.
Every time I go to old zones on Draenor or in Legion theres just hordes of 5 druid bots with nearly identical names running around insta killing everything. Makes it kind of annoying to level in some areas of old zones.
As a Hunter main: I wish we could tame Druids as an intended feature instead of it being a bug for 1 patch with a necklace in shadowlands.
Player made and developer approved slavery!

I loved the claws of shirvallah. Wish they would bring that to the barbershop.
Was taken away far too soon. Now with more humanoid bear forms there is really no reason to not add it back in.

A fact I recently learned - the Sleeper quote is from Lynch's 1984 Dune film. It is not in Herberts novel.

I remember coming across Moonfire botters a lot in shadowlands, and BFA. Haven't really seen any in Dragonflight and War Within though.
Honey, a new hiruma video just dropped
Isn't the fire cat form, from the trinket in Firelands technically the first time druids had a form different from the default racial ones?

wasnt there also a staff in the Firelands that changed the cat form?

Awesome video as always!
Ekowraith was also Porter Robinson's previous moniker, and "Creator of Worlds" is referencing Porter's album Worlds

I had no idea DuelLogs had a WoW channel, that was a surprise.

still waiting for "thrown weapons history"
xd
Best class we do it all (to varying degrees of success)
14:51 imagine saying these to a druid player during vanilla... 😂😂

We, druids, are rather friendly people, we even formed a guild in WoW lol
Tettles would never be safe. Lol
That would be a good sitcom title:
DRUIDS 😂
Druid is the only class I've never played
Claws of shirvalla needs to come back. İd like a glyph simply for the appearence
Wish instead of laser shooting meme chickens, that druid range spec was a druid that summons roots and plants and treants n junk.
Cat is for fite!

BRING BACK MY SABER FORM, LET ME HAVE CLAWS OF SHIRVALLAH FOR APPREANCE PLEASE BLIZZARDDDDD
They could fix the botting problem by simply not allowing to boost a druid before they have a max lvl char on the account
wait for about warrior video
Please do a warrior video
Not Hiru teaching us casuals how to become bot farmers 😭
How are you forgetting about raptari druids?
'Indirectly' Nah they are pretty direct with their slaughter of pets
If bliz didn't want bots, why keep paid level boost.
Demon hunter video when?
