How do you think I did on the overall ratings? I feel like I should have glazed the Wilderness + Varlamore... more. The Wilderness is actually so good because of the skilling supplies and easy points. I love you Wilderness! Not in the main game, cause screw pkers... but leagues?! 😍🥰😘🥰😍
I wish Asg didn't have so many GWD tasks... because I don't want to do GWD on my main game ironman... I REALLY don't want to do GWD in leagues. I definitely wouldn't have given Asg an A-tier.
@littlereesie I do agree that Asgarnia lives and dies by god wars. They may rebalance it this time around but it is hard to imagine not having to farm those bosses because of all the gear drops.
I love the way you presented data like the skills pane with the arrows and the Task Distribution chart. Much more helpful than just BiS gear which is where most league area analysis ends.
@@Drollls agreed, the gear really means a lot less in a game mode where you have so many buffs. There are a lot more things to consider outside of just BIS equipment
@@Drollls I find BIS gear is almost a bait in leagues. Sure it does have points associated to it generally, but you'll have waaaay more points elsewhere for most regions. Plus, the difference between mid level gear and BIS have historically been not that great in leagues imo. Either way, glad you liked it. 😁
Desert got benched hard now that you can get shadow elsewhere. The only unique thing from desert now is masori and imo thats not worth a region gear wise
@@Tatercon toa is still gonna be easily the most accessible and easiest raid to grind the mega rares from. it can be done solo and, if anything, the update makes desert even better because you can get access to scythe and tbow from toa.
@@sargin1 not only that but with kq giving an echo range weapon even before tbow you can likely build a very strong range build with desert, masori really shouldnt be that rare with boosted drop rates so masori + the echo range weapon easily makes the desert the strongest range region imo, not to mention if you dont take fremmenik you can still get a ring of shadows with desert which is basically equivalent to a brimstone ring
I'm really impressed you rate wildy this highly. I took it last leagues and the tasks you can absolutely blast through, you never need GP, and it's the easiest place to farm for imbues heart. Such an underrated region.
A lot of people hate on it but outside of people wanting some sort of absolute max setup it is really good. The fact that it gives you supplies and easy points.... like, for a casual leagues player (which is going to be most of the leagues players) it is just so good. You don't want to be stuck running 3 raids cause you won't have time.
Hey Man, I've really appreciated these videos. I only played osrs back in the day, and I only come back to play leagues so its hard to keep track of content/whats available in the areas. When people talk about the zones they just purely talk about late game BIS, but never mention like random basic stuff like hunter/fishing spots etc that are good haha. So these vids have been great!
Training melee combat in Varlamore will be super fast (and afk): Sulphur Nagua, which are aggresive, with minus armor and (free) moonlight potions is insane xp.
Also their drops are super nice imo. Some nice runes, ores up to mithril, the sulph blades you can alch, I think they're a highlight of the region. The frost naguas are nice too cause you can get temotli now which are like better torags before you get dual macs
@@GhostlyGhille they do have better crush and str bonus, but they do attack a tick faster, have prayer bonus and you won't have to take Mory to get em. Way easier to get too if you kill moxi a few times versus running barrows and hoping you get that specific piece. In my eyes that makes em better but they do have more raw crush and str. But even then the enemies you'd use em on take more damage anyways cause of the negative armor
Kourend is so good that it itself has enough content to be a full league, which it was. So makes sense it is S tier. Though one somewhat large downside is that we all already did a full league in Kourend, and don't exactly want to do the same minigame grind again. I know it was many many years ago but I still remember it pretty well, atleast the favour grind is gone Varlamore is S tier purely because it is new content and at the end of the day all that matters is having fun and I have more fun doing content I'm unfamilar with, rather than repeating the same grinds. Should be a lot of fun using the new moons armors with relics, hopefully they can add some uses to the orange and blue sets.
I think a lot of folks (myself included) didn't actually play the kourend league, so while I wouldn't necessarily call it new, it isn't as stale for many. Still a really strong skilling region and BIS mage -- but I get it. I do agree that the league should generally have more a focus on fun than anything else. It is intended for that after all lol. When I was rating Varlamore I wanted to try and remove the fact that it was new from my rating. Give it a fair shake compared to everywhere else. That said, I'm right there with ya lol. I can't imagine not taking this region. Moons armor is going to fun to play around with. All the content is new stuff. Still a very solid skilling region. Lots of fun to be had here.
As a Leagues Wildy enthusiast I really enjoyed your take on the Wildy. It was exactly why I enjoy it so much. Sooo much supplies and gp. Also it’s so fun doing wildy content with all your BIS gear without the fear of losing ANY of it. Wildy gang all the way ☠️!
People hate on it, but it's such a good region. I liked the way someone else put it -- The wildy is balanced to be high risk, high reward. In leagues though the risk is completely gone so you just end up with high reward.
The gear from Desert will certainly help you lean range. You use every style in ToA and I'd probably put it in this order considering how much each gets used: Range > Melee > Magic. I'm hoping this year that they do more general combat boosts in the mastery system so that every style feels decent to use, but we'll have to see on that.
You mentioned the bulwark in Kourend, would that be obtainable in any of the raid regions? I thought I saw that each raid drops gear from all the raids, but maybe I made that up.
Not quite. I originally thought the same thing, but they only are doing the 3 main weapons from any raid (T bow, Shadow, Scythe). Would have been soooooo good to get the Dhins from Mory. I wish they had done something like that. Or the mage wand piece from ToA in the Desert. Not to mention the prayers. What I wouldn't give to have prayers dropped at all 3 lol.
@@YewJackOSRSI was doing as asked in the vid and leaving my comment about “other teleports the max cape has that are useful”! I personally think the ring of life effect is also underrated if you afk something that *could* kill you.
@@duffomatic Hey, I appreciate it. Lot of skill capes in the game so I figured there could be some good use cases out there. I can't imagine the ring of life tele getting much use in leagues but who knows lol. You can change your spawn point, so maybe there could be some funky use case for that.
Im not very good at end game PVM.. Never raided before and only play on mobile. Im thinking Wildy, Mory and unsure on 3rd pick :/ Any suggestions on builds/picks for a mobile only noob?
I think leagues is a good time to learn some PvM, even if it's on mobile. They did just update the mobile client quite a bit, so probably never been a better time. As a general recommendation I suggest doing 1-2 pvm regions and 1-2 supporting or lighter regions. M + A is a generally good combo, though it is on the pvm heavy side considering the number of bosses. I'd probably consider skipping Nex in A and not plan on green logging ToB. You could still try both, but getting all the drops in those two will end up being really time consuming and probably not worth the time commitment when you could be enjoying everything else in the regions. I like the Wilderness as a support pick. I do think it functions best when paired with a melee focused setup, so M/A/W sounds good to me. If you didn't want to go the Asgarnia route because of the heavier pvm stacking then you could sub in Kandarin. Would end up with M/K/W. Well, K/M/W probably. Not sure I'd take Mory first myself in either route lol.
Your A tier is the 3 regions I plan on taking this year. Not sure on order yet. Last year I took Desert, Asgarnia, and Zeah for the Farming/Woodcutting guild. This year i'm going Varlamore. One thing i never see anyone mention in the shops is that in the warriors guild there is a shop that sells cheesy potatoes and covers food quite well for the mid game.
Ya for sure. I don't tend to be too worried about food cause the starter area has karambwans, but the warriors guild is definitely cheaper and more convenient for stocking up.
They said they are going to reduce time consuming/tedious tasks. I imagine 500 GWD KC tasks will be reduced. MLM does get boosted nuggets for outfit, coal bag (good for blast furnace if you take F)
Ya, I do remember them saying that. I think the problem for gwd is you still need to kill the bosses for the gear and it's very easy to need 500 kills on at least a few to get all the drops. I had to do MLM last time, and even with the boosted rate for nuggets I still found it pretty slow personally. I think it is because the relics have traditionally boosted normal mining more so. I think you still got multiple rocks per mine in MLM, but you don't get the benefit of like the ores auto smelting for example. I will agree that the mining outfit isn't as bad as the graceful outfit -- screw that thing lol. Useless in leagues and requires so many laps to get enough maps, even if the rate is boosted a little.
Not atm but I can see about maybe sharing some of this stuff via google drive or something. I'll see if I can condense these together and put something out. If I can sort that out I'll probably link it here, future leagues vids, and drop a community post -- oh and I'll link it in my discord. Lots of stuff to keep track of lol.
Not many people talk about it but Morytania also has some serious points advantage which comes from "general" tasks but some of them can be done with Morytania only (mostly taking about combat achievement related ones). For example if I remember correctly, Morytania alone had 19 speed achievements for last league while my region combo had like 8 total. Similar with combat achievements in general (tob 3 modes, nightmare, phosani nightmare) have so much more points than other regions that you can complete general tasks for x amount of achievements, y amount of points, before mentioned speed tasks, whole tiers of achievements. In other words, morytania is like double/triple dipping into combat achievement points pool
Ya, true. You also pick up a bunch of slayer creatures that have superior counterparts. Can help with those tasks as well between drops and kill count and such. (Not to mention the black mask dmg bonus for slayer)
Your subscribe plugs are always hilarious. It would be awesome if you done content covering the daily reveals also including your thoughts etc if its not too big of a deal
Ya. I'll 100% be covering the daily leaks and want to update the tier list as we get that info so by the end I've got a sort of quick reference that people can use.
This is awesome! I actually feel like you threw out a lot of good points I haven’t really thought about, which is how some regions will make you work harder for points. As a casual player I hadn’t really thought of how the wildy could be beneficial as a support region and for easy tasks. Also varlamore and kourend look like good picks for the more casual player who doesn’t want to just spend the entire time purely doing pvm.
I think it's really easy to get sucked into that BIS gear hype and then find you don't have enough time to actually achieve it. I've had that happen to me a number of times in leagues, which is why I take a more balanced approach when looking at regions/combos. Z/V/W is actually a pretty solid combo. You'd get some early/mid pvm with V, as well as general gear coverage. Z is great for skilling, plus CoX if you want to have a bit of higher level pvm (outside of colosseum). Wilderness can be your sort of quick/filler region that also happens to give you a lot of supplies. I do think the wildy gives supplies faster than any other area so it slots in well for that. The combo I'm currently thinking is V/K/Z for similar reasons. Would probably swap K for W if the wildy weapons get to be used everywhere from the echo drop.
great overview, just FYI hunter's sunlight crossbow requires both Varlamore(for sunlight antelope) and Kandarin(to buy base hunters crossbow in Yannile). Unless I am missing something.
I love the visuals for each regions skilling options. Would you consider releasing these as one big infographic? Also what do you reckon is the strongest reckon combo for specifically skilling and points?
Ya. Someone else also asked about that. I'm going to see what I can do to put together some sort of condensed quick reference guide with the info tomorrow. I'll update the description here and probably post it up to a few other places (like community post and my discord). We'll see what I can come up with. Worst case, I can just share the slides via google drive or something. Think I can do a bit better than that though. For skilling and points.... I like to say Wilderness/Kourend as your core and then pair that with something that has good gear coverage like Varlamore or Morytania. You're essentially trying to avoid heavy PVM areas as much as you can while still getting a decent setup, since every area will have at least some pvm. I actually like Tirannwn for this as well if you are comfortable jumping into the gauntlet. T/K/F or T/K/W can function well. I'd prefer T/K/F over the other because that way you get the house pool, which is slightly better than ferox -- but the Wildy tasks are probably overall easier to do than Fremmy so your call on that.
I personally think that if you're going for a good skilling/points combination, probably regions with the most skilling mini-games/bosses are the best bet. I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing Kourend or Desert would be best in this aspect (although ironically having a lot of points also tied to raids).
Kandarin for sure. If essentially no PvM..... I'd probably also include Zeah. CoX is in the region, but you could skip that and still be doing alright I think. Could I convince you to go wildy on the last one? 😉Is a lot of bosses for points but they do go by pretty quick. If not.... hmm. Last one is tough. Might say the Desert, but avoiding 2 raids means you're going to have to rely more on the general tasks. That might be the best way to go about it though. Would give you really good skill coverage and relatively few bosses to worry about. K/D/Z - K/Z/W (if you don't mind some wildy bossing).
Seems about right. Personally, I'd rank Mory a bit lower since while it does have decent gear, other regions tend to outperform it there (e.g. Moon>Barrows). Also, the whole "all raids give all Mega-Rares" hurts ToB more than it helps since Scythe is kinda what carries ToB and both other raids have way better uniques. Compared to Desert, it does have more Bosses but worse Skilling and if you do pick another region like Asgarnia or Varlamore, I think Desert can be a much stronger pick than Mory. So, I'd probably swap it and Desert. For Fremmy, I could see it moving to a B, but I'd at least put it above Kand in C. Both are more of support regions that are okay on their own, but I'd say Fremmy gets stronger when paired with certain Regions while Kand is more self-contained. Like Fremmy+Varlamore for the Ultor Ring (and ammo-saving Quiver) is really strong. Also, while it is lacking on Skilling, it does have better Bossing than Kand, especially midgame before Kand gets 87+ Slayer.
Ya, that's fair. I think the reason I like Mory more isn't because of the raids, but rather because barrows and nightmare. Barrows is very accessible now due to the combat rebalancing changes. You can go do a very early barrows run with air spells, get the prayer xp from the miniquest and be straight into a good pvm setup. Desert tends to lack in the gear department until you can farm out ToA. On the skilling side..... Desert has better stuff early, but I think they even out as you go up in levels. A lot of Mory is stuck to darkmeyer, which is a struggle as a first region pick for sure -- but also with leagues multipliers won't be that far away. I think I said this in there but if not, that's why I tend to put Mory as a 2nd region pick rather than a first. I do think there is enough you can do in Mory to skate by on a 1st pick, but desert likely out performs it for a 1st region. Fremmy is very much a combo region in my mind. You pretty much have to take it with something else. Kandarin does also function better as a combo region (and feels worse as a combo region then Fremmy imo), but can actually still function well as a stand alone support region. I think it does better as a stand alone compared to Fremmy personally. I don't think either of these are that far apart though. I wouldn't really have a big problem flipping them, but I couldn't see moving them up without including certain build paths -- which I wasn't doing for this tier list. I will sort of do that when talking about specific combos elsewhere, just because combos amp the power of regions generally speaking (besides Tirannwn.... that one is pretty sad all around lol).
With the echo gloves from grotesque giving 2x the bonus of ammy of the damned barrows will outshine perils armor. Torags armor will be insanely tanky missing 50 hp will double your defensive level. Missing 80 hp with a super defense would mean your invisible defense level would be 306. As long as your not fighting mage you'd be a walking wall.
Thanks for the video. I'm a first time leagues player and will only be playing casually and trying to do as much AFK activities as possible because I can really only be logged in during the day while I work. My thoughts were going some combination of Wildy/Mory and something else. I was told the best AFK combat option would be a full melee + blood fury + guthans. What would be a suggested region order for this and would you agree this would be best for my scenario?
I think the challenge with an area like Mory is there is a lot of PvM to do. I actually think picking up Kandarin might make sense for you. A variety of skilling options and not much in the way of bossing to deal with. Wildy is generally good for resources and easier points by comparison to other regions -- is still a lot of bosses, so not the most afk friendly region. Idk, guess it depends on what content you enjoy. Thinking about everything - there aren't like... a ton of afk stuff. Asgarnia has a lot related to mining but then you also get godwars, which is a pretty hefty grind. Either way, I think I'd look to include Kandarin in whatever you go with. Maybe you could try KMW. Skip out on ToB and Nightmare in Mory if you're worried about time. Saving Wildy for last should help in reducing how many people are out there. This would still give you access to the guthan build, but also gives you piety with kandarin so you can take something like the farming relic over the grimoire. Then you get passive farming xp and banked herblore xp as well. Take golden god for early magic and free prayer once you open up the wildy. Bank noter so you never have to leave whatever spot your standing. I think you could pretty much get there.
@@YewJackOSRS Awesome. Here and there Ill certainly be able to do some non AFK things, but just wanted to see if there was something that suited my current playtime situation best. I will try your suggestion and appreciate the thought out response! Subbed to the channel. Great work.
Yep! Going to try and do daily vids with each leak. I do work full time so I'll likely be coming into it in the later half of the day if they do something similar to last year.
Funnily enough if you take the bottom 3 regions here (Kandarin, Fremennik, and Tirannwn) you actually get the meta picks for the first trailblazer for league points. Of course a good amount has changed since then content wise, but depending on the task list and relics I do think all of these have the potential to be competitive
I think every region does have a build, for as much as I was clowning on Kandarin here. The only real issue I have with Kandarin being focused on elemental weaknesses is that you have to pick up regions with bosses that allow you to use that -- and there really aren't a lot of them condensed into one area. Makes it hard to really get full use out of it.
@@YewJackOSRS The echo item did not help yeah, nor did today's relic reveal. Probably not a region you'd take for gear upgrades at this point, we'll see if it'll be at least decent for points
I picked Tiranwyn 2nd last leagues to learn CG. After I learned in leagues, I went main game and pulled ews + armor seed on 1 kc. Tiranwyn holds a special place in my heart, if trickster is a thing again I think it deserves higher than D tier. Its free 200mill thieving off elves, then free 200m crafting and smithing from making and dismantling crystal bodies with your pile of unlimited crystal shards for 300m xp/hr. There are some other top tier skilling methods too there if you think about it, and the region is small so points come very quickly to unlock your last region and multipliers.
@@PR0T3CTURH34D Wow, that's a nice pull in 1 KC lol. As much as I tend to hate on Tirannwn, I don't actually hate it. My hate stems from wanting to take it but not feeling it meshes well enough with other stronger regions. I do agree with the points aspect and a shop relic certainly benefits it and Fremmy more than other regions. I still recommend Tirannwn for similar reasons as you describe here. It's a pretty easy point region. I think T/K/F or T/K/V is a great more casually oriented combo.
@@YewJackOSRS fair enough, those picks both sound nice! I went D/T/A last league for the weapon master with light bearer and a zaryte crossbow, it was gross!!
@@PR0T3CTURH34D Ya, crossbows last year were nuts with the specs. I can't say I enjoyed the Nex grind but it was a lot of fun once you were setup with everything.
Good video series! I'ld like to add the ring of shadows as a general gear item to Desert. Also would love to see a tierlist of best 3 area combos - I'm going DAZ :)
Oh ya true. That ring is a nice pickup since rings are such a pain in the butt to make in leagues. I'll definitely be doing some overall combos once we get more details about relics/masteries/echos.
im fairly new, and think about to pick, varlamore, desert(to learn my first raid) and as my 3th choice i dont know, any tips? i struggle with the choice lmao btw good video :D
Varla is a good all arounder, and adding a raid into the mix I think is a good call as well. I'd probably lean a support region for the final pick personally -- W/K/T/F come to mind. You just pick whichever you like the content of more. Out of those I think W/K probably mesh the best, but there is a case for F as well. T is a big sad cause you get the crystal set but then can't use bowfa with masori's from the desert. Still not a bad support region and you do get some stuff outside of bowfa.
I'd probably do D -> M -> A, but I think A/M could be flipped around if you preferred. If you do A before M you won't get a lot of value out of barrows I'd think but that isn't exactly a big deal.
So I think you forgot about something common with iron men (around 5:00 minutes mark) yes a max house pool needs tiranwann BUT you can do the death flames option instead. Only needs 77 const, a dungeon, and a tinderbox and coins. Takes a few seconds longer to die from the flames in your house than a pool would heal of course, but that + a restoration pool gets you your stats back without tiranwann, AND saves you lots of constr levels
That's a good shout. I wonder if that would screw up last recall. I don't explicitly remember if getting kicked from the house would mess it up -- I'm thinking it probably doesn't. If not then ya this is all that much better.
Few days ago i was certain which regions and what combat style i was gonna pick, now im having second thoughts about everything. I do know im not gonna do the insane grounds because to me those are a big burn-out. If im going for points i wonder what the best 3 are, prob M/Z/V or something?
If you mean absolute max points, those have typically been the 3 raids regions. Always possible the rebalance that this year but we'll have to see on that. If you are just meaning easier points without the grinds then I think W/K are probably the two best areas for easier to do tasks. 3rd region is up to you. I do think Varla will be easier on tasks compared to something like M/Z/D/A, simply because those three are either a raid region or god wars for A. All of those are pretty time consuming. That said, if you don't care about not maxing a region then M/Z/D are fine. While they do have points tied up in the raids, there are a lot of other things to do and skipping out on the raid won't impact your points that greatly overall. A will always be pretty time consuming I think since a lot of tasks get wrapped up in god wars. You could still take it and just know that you're skipping nex and if you go dry on a boss or two prior then just skip that gear piece. Either way, I'd be looking for combos with W/K -- W/K/V or W/K/M are probably the best bets since you get gear coverage for V and M via moons and barrows. If you don't mind gauntlet then Tirannwn is another quick points one. W/K/T isn't my favorite combo, so if you go that route then I'd probably recommend K/T/F -- just know you'll probably skip a few of the bossing related tasks in F.
@@YewJackOSRS Yeah previous league i made the awful mistake of picking A first and it lead to a burnout because doing GWD on pretty mid gear was not as fun as i wanted it to be so im gonna try and prevent that this time around. But yeah this time around i mostly just wanna prevent burnouts and get some more chill relaxed system based on getting points pretty quick and easy without having to do too much painful stuff. For things im not gonna pick its gonna be W/F/T and it sucks because i do know W is pretty strong its just i never really liked the area or the PvP aspect so thats out of the question. Then for F/T i just dont think these are gonna be good unless im using a specific build for them (which im not doing) so those im prob not gonna touch either. And after watching some videos i do believe that Kourend is just that strong so i have to make it my 1st unlock, in terms of value of skilling + points and so much more i just cant sleep on K. 2nd and 3rd i think its gonna end up something like K/V/A or K/V/D i would consider M but im gonna subsitute that with V and the gear i get from Perious Moons, atleast thats the plan for now.
@@Ohanrahan Ya, makes sense. I also made the mistake of taking Asgarnia early on one of my runs. That's one of the reasons why it landed in A rank for me because it's deceptively not the best early game area. You'd think it would be because of fally/rimmington/port sarim -- but then a bunch of tasks are in god wars, so gl going there with 70 stats and like no armor. And without all your relics. Just a pain in the butt. Of those two combos you listed for skilling/points I'd prefer K(ourend?)/V/D. I just think you can't avoid at least some pvm grinds in Asgarnia. Godwars has too many points to skip out on completely, where as the Desert you can get away with a few low tier raids, pick up the easy gear, and then get out if you wanted to.
@@YewJackOSRS Yeah i agree with that the fally/rimmington area but all it did was slow me down to a point it wasnt enjoyable anymore, and then already doing GWD not in a optimal way, but also going like 200+ kills dry was not really fun for me. It just sucked for me. I dont think its a bad area, just me unlocking it first wasnt that great. Also yeah some people use Z for Zeah, others do K(kourend) But then the confusion exists because of Kandarin but hell nah im not even having Kandarin even on my radar tbh lmao. But yeah you are prob right i think i might get away with K/V/D more so then K/V/A or even switching K/A up if i did went that route. ToA to me is the most enjoyable of the 3 raids so i am more getting into the idea of doing D as my 3rd region. However i do wanna say that we have like what 10/15 teasers waiting for us and everyday a new one, so im gonna carefully say its gonna end up being K/V/D for me but if the changes are big i might switch it up after all to M or A somewhere in between.
@@Ohanrahan I won't hold ya to your today plan. Change it up as much as ya want until we get to the actual league! I'm fully expecting to get absolutely embarrassed from all of my opinions following the leaks in the next few days, so you'll never catch flak from me on flipping plans around lol. 😝
I'm not sure if I'll do 2 accounts this year -- If I do I'll pick up Mory and do a route there. Otherwise, I'm currently planning Z/V + an undecided 3rd. Initial thoughts are this would make for a good mage setup cause Z is gives BIS + shadow. That said, I'm really hoping they buff all combat styles this time around so we get a bit more freedom to do whatever.
@@YewJackOSRS Either Desert/Kandarin/Zeah, Desert/Varlamore/Zeah or Kandarin/Varlamore/Zeah. Imo, Desert and Kandarin are Mandatory for Mage with 3rd options be Asgarnia/Morytania/Zeah/Wilderness/Varlamore. 2x Raids Areas is batsh** insane tho lol
@@DayrusBPB Kandarin does currently still feel really important for a mage build, but I'm holding out for the echo drops there. I'd much prefer to pickup something like wilderness if given the opportunity.
Desert lets you smith darts, but you can fletch them anywhere. Normally you struggle to get dart tips besides smithing them, but vorkath actually drops a decent amount of rune/dragon dart tips. Plus a little bit on the logs side as well.
Probably depends on your goal for the league. I think doubling up on raids is tough because of the time commitment. While grinding in leagues at the start is fun, I personally find having to grind the same boss over and over kills a bit of the momentum -- so having to do that multiple times really can drag down the experience. This is why I typically recommend picking 1 or 2 pvm areas and then taking more supporting areas to round out the build. This means that you have a region or two that is easier to complete. All that said, I like all 3 of those areas and you don't HAVE to do both raids or even either really. Mory in particular has a very large gear spread with barrows and nightmare. The raids gear is a nice bonus. Wildy is a fun pickup for supplies and we'll probably see the weapons getting use this league as well (still need them to confirm that echo but I'm really crossing my fingers on that one lol). If you enjoy the content of those 3 regions, I think you'll do well. Varla is fun if you like the novelty of the content. Moons armor is on a similar tier to Barrows, but has some interesting effects to interact with. Not sure how helpful all this is for your decision. If you'd like me to get real specific on combos here then just let me know what your goal is for the league and I'll try to be more direct in my answer. 😁
@@thenerdgamer3044 I'd probably not consider the raids at all -- or at least the main gear drops. Raids tend to be pretty time consuming to get everything out of them, even with the leagues buffs. That may be mitigated to a degree this time around if you have a group to run them with (since we'll have chances at multiple purples per party). I'd think ToA > CoX > ToB in order of how quickly you could get purples. For ease of regions, I'd prioritize regions that you either like the content of or ones that have something interesting to you. Personally I'd lean towards something like: VKM, or ADW. The caveat with each of these being I'm not thinking about the raid gear specifically. Even with Asgarnia I'm only considering farming 1-2 bosses that I particularly care about; no nex. For sure I'd want a region that has fairly good gear coverage and then 1-2 lighter regions I can sort of play around with in said gear. I'd even consider doing Tirannwn for the bowfa range setup. Since that is good by itself you can really take any other region you want. TKF could end up being a good combo in that sense, even though I rated those regions poorly. KF would help fill some ranged slots without having to compromise your crystal set bonus.
Im so confused. I want to take mage as primary style but i love kourend, asgarnia and valamore. But kandarin has all upgrades to mage. Will we miss out alot if we dont take kandarin if we go mage route?
Ya, it's tough. This is one of my biggest gripes with Kandarin. It holds a lot of mage % dmg still within one region. I suppose the same could be said about Kourend, it's just Kourend tends to offer more overall. I do think you could take Kourend alone and feel totally fine. Leagues tends to make you really powerful already so I don't think an absolute max setup is required to have a good time. If there are other regions (like A/V) that you want to try, then go for it. You get full Ancestral + prayer + shadow from CoX. That'll be plenty to feel powerful with a mage build. You will probably feel a bit weak until then though since you'd have to use standard spells until the shadow.
I love the advertising for wilderness, and i love the new boss drops (Echo boss drops) but wouldn't many be hesitent to take wilderness because of the pvp, specially in the leagues? Great vidoes, and thanks for making it a bit easier to make a decision about what region to take (though i'm new to osrs so i still can't decide xD)
You don't lose things when you get pk'ed in leagues. There is the down time of having to walk back which is kind of annoying. Considering wildy is going to be pretty up there on most peoples list, I do worry about competition out there for resources. That does hurt it a bit overall. Hard to say for sure if that'll come to fruition though. Sword/Shield is so good too that it might just be worth the pickup anyway. For what it's worth, I'd say pick what looks fun to you and just try stuff. You can go for a bit of a lighter task setup if it's super daunting, like K/F + a 3rd region. Varla is also going to be very fun I think, just maybe end up avoiding the echo boss.
@ Ye i heard, which is amazing, so only thing thats gonna suck is the compatition and the walk back ye. I am still lost, about which areas to unlock, i know asgania thanks to mining, but otherwise i am kinda lost xD your video helped alot though, appreciate it
Think ill still do fremenik to practice vorkath and dks, asgarnia to practice gws and then either kourend or morytania to do one of the raids. Not all about being optimal
Ya, for sure. Something that I don't think lists of this type reflect are the strength of certain regions in a particular combo as well. F/A/Z or F/A/M... A/M have a lot of good overlap, particularly for melee but also just in general. I also like taking a support region for my last region -- so F or K or W mainly. Could be T but..... just doesn't synergize that well with other regions so I normally avoid it because of that.
Alot of this is gonna depend on relics, drops, temp bosses. What happens if they include wrathmaw for wilderness and instead of the proposed rewards it gives a BIS meleec weapon. Its leagues, the new weapons from echoes and stuff are probably gonna out-DPS the 3 mega rares from raids
@@BestFriend188 Well, they did say echo drops would compete with BIS but not quite be BIS. I imagine that means the 3 big weapons will still reign supreme, but we shall see. I will be updating this tier list over the course of the info leaks, so should have a good quick reference guide by the start.
Kourend has two agility training methods in Shayzien. The beginner course is a level 1 course and the advanced course is level 45 but also requires a mithril grapple. I'd argue Kourend is a really great mage training area too with the Library. You can get Runecrafting or Mage xp there and the rates are really good. I'd actually argue our Crafting is kind of mid. Our bis training is either cranes or charter ships. You could technically argue gem stalls but no one wants that.
I was debating if I wanted to put agility on the map for Kourend but didn't feel like the courses were strong enough compared to other regions to justify the yellow arrow. I do like the mage and runecrafting training through the library. While it does scale up, I'm not sure I'd take that as my late game method when there are probably better things to do. Early on though -- really good. A fair few of those old favor activities are good. As for crafting.... I mean ya, standing at a gem stall isn't fun lol. It's not just the gem stall though in fairness. Access to a lot of dragons, with alright options for getting those hides into other things. Boss drops/minigame drops will also help bolster your crafting supplies. There's also CoX which poops out gems later on. I tried to steer away from raid drops completely when looking at the skills but they are still there and have some weight in me ranking the related skills.
@@YewJackOSRS it did? i didn't know, well, as long as it doesn't make you want to jump head first into Zulrah's mouth by even thinking of how many times you will have to repeat the same thing then it's already something.
@@Ricardo_Rick Oh no, you'll still be repeating a lot. I don't remember the exact hour maths. They basically did some QoL to it and reduced the total number of hours to complete everything by some degree. It will still be hours of junk though lol.
And I think there is a very high chance of a relic/mastery that really boosts double hit/dual-wield weapons, making varlamore a very interesting option.
@@PolafTCG Agreed. They'd be crazy not to make the echo drop in the wildy that sort of rev weapon unlock from DMM. I'm also hopeful that the combat masteries will actually boost all 3 combat styles. My thought is they'll end up with something like base 175% power and then the last relic choice will focus you in 1 style a little. So it'll be like 200% power for your main, 175% for the rest -- in that way you don't have to feel terrible when killing off style bosses and could enjoy more things from every region.
I think wilde is A. I personally want to get a ring of the gods. It was either last leagues or shattered that there was a prayer relic and i had peity and overhead on all the time 😂
I think it was last league we got like a sort of soul split style relic. Heal hp/prayer based on % of dmg dealt sort of deal. That one was a good time for just afk'ing pretty much everything lol.
Not sure if you noticed in the discord, but the guy in charge of reveals said "Anyone picking Tiranwnn or Fremmy? Some crazy shit happening there this league" I wouldn't count those regions out just yet!
I think barrows will be pretty strong this time around because that region is getting an empowered version of barrows gloves along side everything. Going to make for some really fun builds I think. Some other good areas that pair with Mory are: Asgarnia, Fremennik. You can also pick up something like Zeah for skilling if you wanted. Varla is also newer content if you prefer that. I think the nice thing about this league is with Mory you don't really need another region to feel strong. Barrows will give you plenty by itself so you get a lot of flexibility.
I am a little surprised at the N/A on mining and WC for Wildy. There are so many options for mining. I got so many mining and smithing levels with the autosmith/autobank relics in the wildy mines. No competition for rocks, and so many rune rock locations. I know WC isn't a great feature of the wildy, but you do have the magic/yew trees in the wildy resource area and Piles will note them for you, even if you don't have autobank
I did consider all the rocks in the Wildy. I didn't feel it offered enough for an arrow, but I could see why you would. Totally forgot about noting things in the resource are. I was just thinking with the trees it wasn't anything crazy but I could see that being a yellow arrow at least. Since we don't know relics yet I was pretty much just assuming whatever the base region had to offer. That may change in the coming weeks with the leaks though.
I think my plan is to start with Varalamore, try for a moons tryprid setup, hit the desert and toa. Not sure yet on the 3rd yet. Morytania sounds like alot of fun but Im worried about the nightmare tasks. Might be a good time tho to learn it 👍💯
I didn't do a ton of nightmare last league -- but I don't think it was the worst boss to do. They did also recently buff the drop rates a bit there so that should help make it a bit less grindy than it was previously. You should have enough space points wise to skip 2-3 major bosses and still get up to dragon cup fairly comfortably. You just have to be a bit careful cause if you end up skipping a bunch of region content, then you end up needing to do a lot of the global stuff like the high skilling xp tasks. Not always a problem just something to keep in mind.
@YewJackOSRS I also get worried about trying to get a team for TOB as well. BUT, if they bring back the relic to choose your own slayer task Than morytania is definitely a go.
@@Kryptikxosrs I do think that becomes more of a problem later into the league -- but early on I don't think it'll actually be a problem for you. Like first ~2 weeks ish for sure. If you do end up in Mory, I'd recommend joining the official leagues discord. There will be a dedicated channel for Mory. I think that'll help a lot with finding groups.
slight downside is that your magic setup is gonna be pretty trash for TOA until you get shadow, which can easily take over a week, but I guess that's true for every region unless you take Kandarin
i would have listed herblore as three green arrows for the wilderness. the big bosses drop huge stacks of noted herbs and also drop massive stacks of secondaries. like 500 red spiders eggs and mort myre fungi and wine of zammy. the elder chaos druids are also great for farming herbs. you fight them right next to an altar so you have infinite prayer and they drop up to 4 herbs at a time. its so great i picked the wilderness last year and herblore was so hard to max. i feel like it would have been impossible without the help of the wilderness
When I was originally deciding how much I wanted to amp up herblore I was strictly looking at the herbs on the various drop tables. I didn't feel it was the most common of the various supplies. I do think they are good but I also find they are likely to be a bit inconsistent. That said, I think you have a very valid point with the secondaries and I hadn't really thought about the challenge of gathering those. I'm collecting feedback like this from the comments and when I put together my updated quick reference guide with all the different skill charts tomorrow -- I think I'll update a few. Not 100% decided on this, but I'm leaning towards agreeing with you overall for the herbs + secondaries.
Oh shoot, you're right. I think I flipped Asgarnia and Kourend on there when I condensed it down from the region vid. Kourend you can get D Axe through Wintertodt -> Crystal Axe Asgarnia you can repair your D Pick from Volcanic Mine -> Crystal Pickaxe My bad on that one. Good catch.
When Leagues V was announced, my initial judgement was Varlamore, Wilderness & Desert. Now that I’ve given it some thought, I’m keeping Kourend, which I loved last year. 90% sure I’m taking Desert, which I wish I’d had last year. Third region, I’m not deciding until I can unlock it and know the tasks as well as my current points. But I say that as somebody that won’t spend one minute raiding, have no aspirations for Dragon Cup and just wants to have fun with a goofy build. Standing by my opinion that Kourend should be the first region unlocked in all future leagues, until an update makes a different region God Tier. Barring that, Kourend is King.
"I don't want to raid" -- takes two raids regions. 😝 I think Varla will be fun for some wonky builds. I'm thinking a Blood moon one with like KA or maybe KM or KF. Would probably end up being pretty light on tasks too. That said, I'm fairly certain you can skip the raids in the raid regions and still hit dragon. I didn't specifically do that math but with all the general tasks you normally have quite a lot of flexibility. There is also a fun build in something like Guthans that wouldn't require raiding. Guthans + blood shard + regen bracelet + hp cape. Guess I'm very melee brained right now lol. Sure there are some fun combos with range/mage as well. A bowfa build would end up being probably pretty light task wise. Think I suggested this to someone else as well: TKF. Not convinced on that one myself but that avoids the raids and you would end up with a good Range setup, Decent Mage setup, -- melee would feel a little bad but you do have obby armor to fill your chest/legs slots still. I do hope they change up the starting area on future leagues, even if that means basically no one will take Misthalin/Karamja. Would open up some more interesting paths I think.
@@YewJackOSRS As primarily a Level 3 Skiller … I know where the raids are, and what bosses are in them. Never have unlocked, or even heard a music track from a Raid. I’d spend so much time learning what to do, that their points wouldn’t be worth chasing. Even with the assorted damage boosts from Relics, I don’t see it being worth the time investment. I’ll happily spend my time chasing the Phoenix & Tangleroot pets instead of doing CoX.
After all the hype and doing my homework on how I wanna play leagues I know I want varlamore and desert just for fun new content from varlamore and I love TOA. Only problem is I feel like the only regions I would wanna pick afterwards is kourend or asgarnia. For each region I would have to learn either cox or god wars dungeon, since I never did either in main game. I feel like asgarnia would be the better pick because of getting good melee gear but I do love the content in kourend. In the end, it might really end up with how good the combat system is for buffing all styles this league.
We'll have to see what the info leaks bring starting next week. It may end up shifting things around a lot. I will say that learning god wars is probably going to be much easier than learning CoX. I wouldn't necessarily say either are hard, but most of the gwd bosses are quite easy (especially with being powered up by relics and such). Most of them you can just face tank and burn through their hp. Nex is maybe slightly more complex than that but not really. I do think Gwd is debatably a bigger time commitment than CoX would be because of the sheer number of bosses to get all your gear together, but it probably wouldn't be that big of a difference if you ended up trying to green log the raid.
@@YewJackOSRS see face tanking it scares me because I will be more so range/mage set up so I just assume grador would punch my face out. Last league I was full mage and got smoked by him. As we both said I think the leaks will really sell what my set up will be in the next few weeks. I've been loving the theory crafting videos and maybe blood moon armor will send it all the way!
You really sold Wildeeness to me, but I want to do so much content in other regions like raids ToA/ToB/CoX, Zulra/CG in Tirannwn, GWD in Asgarnia. It's so hard to choose 😭 I will probly just end up picking it randomly.
Get one of those spin wheels lol. If you have enough time you could always get a few accounts started up. I personally struggle to play anything more than 2 but I know some mad lads out there go and play like 15 at once. Idk how, but maybe you have that skill just waiting to shine.
@@AUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH Is that like a permanent unlock sort of deal? Do it once and you're good forever? Or is it like once per "session"? Would still be good since you can camp out there for a long time, I've just not heard of this before.
@@YewJackOSRSunfortunately it’s not a permanent unlock 😂. It’s the same thing as making 2 potions every fight except that you can pick 40 mushrooms instead using tick manipulation and spam feed them to the boss. Saves about 30-40 seconds per fight. More click intensive but deffo the method for WR times
I think that's solid. If you wanted, you could probably swap the wilderness out for another region you're wanting to try. Wouldn't necessarily have to though. Varla gives you pretty good gear coverage all around. Kourend gives you BIS mage plus a bunch of skilling options. Wildy helps to buff up your supplies if you end up not wanting to do all the other skilling activities in Kourend. In terms of potential other areas -- Kandarin would pair well for both mage and giving you the melee prayer while you're there. Light on tasks in a similar way to the wilderness. Desert if you want to pick up another raid to try out. Have some potential at an even better range setup. Those would be the other two I'd be thinking about. W/K/D are all good though with the other two. Wouldn't have a problem taking any of them. If the Wildy gets an echo drop that allows for the rev weps to function well outside of the wildy, that pick is going to be even better.
Hot take because it Theoretically makes Tirannwn obsolete, They should add Anti-Venom(1) as a rare supply drop or something in the echo bosses drop table.
@@YewJackOSRS The way I see it If last recall and/or Banker note come back in the same effective functionality then House pool is already obsolete except for the what 250 points you would get for making the ornate pool so If you're picking it for that you're already lost imo 😭😂 might as well help people from making a bad choice :p
Me and my buddy were listening to the song hot for teacher, and he said the drums in the beginning are what the dual macs will sound like this leagues 😂 Man it made me laugh so hard. Listen to hot for teacher and imagine the Macs bopping hahah
@ gotta hand it to him, it was a good one hahahah, glad you thought it was funny 😂 Assuming you’ll be recapping the teasers they’re gonna start releasing tomorrow?
@@meller7303 Yes sir! I'll be doing daily vids for them, talking about both what the leak is and how that impacts these overall rankings/region synergies. The timing on any given day will probably vary a little bit cause I work full time but most should be going out sometime in the evening (US).
@ awesome, I’ll be tuning in! My prediction; some of the teases will completely shake up the metas, even more than past leagues. Echo bosses, combat masteries, new spins on the relics etc. Gonna be some huge curve balls!
Not bad by any means, I think it just struggles to compete with power mining iron -- especially if we get relics that favor traditional skilling. It is also competing with fossil islands volcanic mine, which you could totally do to 99. The prayer combo is a good shout though. You won't always want to just train 1 skill, so having overlap like that can be really helpful.
I am really surprised you rated Morytania in S. Could you elaborate a bit more as to why you think mory is S tier while Asgarnia is only A? Gear wise you have bandos, and arma (and technically virtus for mage) as the "mid game" armour with torva as the BiS. I suppose you have barrows you can start really early in mory? (Could probably do barrows with air bolt and 43 prayer depending on combat relics) Skill wise they look about the same in the amount of skills you can train. If people say GWD can be difficult or a long grind then ToB and PNM should be even more difficult and longer grinds. I hope my comment do not sound hateful, just want a discussion on your reasioning. I don't necessarily want/think asgarnia deserves an S tier, just surprised why you rate Mory so highly. EDIT: Forgot to thank you for this video and all the previous videos, I have been patiently awaiting your leagues uploads. Follow up question: What do you think the different regions would need to push them up a tier (or even down a tier). Would the wilderness echo boss dropping an item that allows the rev weapons to be good outside of wildy make the region an instant S? Would Kandarin lose points if a relic gives us a new prayer book making piety obsolete?
I think Mory is just a bit more accessible content wise -- or maybe more diverse? Probably a bit of both actually. The skills that Asgarnia helps you with don't feel quite as impactful and a lot of the focus for asgarnia is on god wars. Not to say Asgarnia isn't good, I just think for Morytania you could do non-raid content and be really happy with the region. Even something like the slayer mask gives an immediate boost to all of your combat (for the most part). Asgarnia you pretty much have to grind the god bosses. If you really like god wars then Asgarnia is probably S for you. The task distribution isn't that much different, though I do think Mory ends up ever so slightly ahead of Asgarnia. Eeeever so slightly. For other areas, ya -- wilderness would benefit a lot from weapons being usable everywhere. I think that's push it into A tier for me pretty easily. That would mean all 3 rev weapons basically compete with BIS if not being BIS for most things. Other regions are a bit tougher. All of the lower regions suffer from the same problem where they don't offer complete sets of things really. If they go the route of buffing the best style/use case of a region then that'll likely bring it up to some extent. Hard to imagine tirannwn moving up for me just because crystal armor is required for the bowfa to function. If they did an item that you use bowfa without the armor or upped the damage -- then sure. It's good. Is it that interesting though? Does it add to the area synergies that tirannwn lacks? It's a tough region to solve for with only 1 drop imo. Now if tirannwn dropped an echo item that let you pick an additional region.................. lol - no way they do that, but heck ya I'd take tirannwn cause it'd be free at that point.
Ya, I think that one will be a fun weapon to play around with. Get that extra range + all the cmb buffs. I'm sure people will work out some wild things with that.
Tirannwn has certainly picked up some value since I originally talked about it lol. Still a bit of a rough pick early I think due to a lot of the things being locked behind high level skills.
Desert deserves S cmon now. If they bring back harder hardmodes the 100% purple chance from toa is god tier. Last recall+desert ammy 4 makes your other grinds a joke. No matter the build desert is so strong.
Ya, I figured people may not quite agree with that one. The things you've mentioned are nice -- don't get me wrong. I am a big believer in the stat resets during leagues with last recall especially. I think where desert tends to suffer for me is in the variety of the content. Desert goes deep into the things that it covers, which is great for what it covers. I don't think it's that fun (granted that is very much personal preference). I also think a couple of its strengths are made irrelevant or weakened by the starting area (like agility + fishing/cooking). All that said, I think asgarnia and desert could both have cases made to be up in S tier - even though I decided against putting them there.
Lucky on the first. Rip on the 2nd. I don't recall how long it took me last league but I'm sure it was at least several hours. Such a pain in the butt for like a 40 pt task.
I have an alt called Grout Tuber that i just afk gout tubers for my buddies and make sure they are on the same world and then just jet Over when it spawns
Right?! I hated having to gather everything on the account where I didn't have wildy. Was actually the reason I didn't max there. Sometimes skilling relics can help balance that out, but when you are making choices like Production vs Gathering... you will always lose out on one set of skills. Wildy can help pick up that slack very easily without upping your time commitment during the league significantly (like if you had to farm raids for supplies - gl with that lol).
Huh? The green one there is the staff of the dead. It's not the toxic staff of the dead -- you'd need Tiranntrash for that. 😉 Ok I feel bad about that one. I'm sorry Tirannwn. 😅
With no late game PvM.... You probably want to focus in on Skilling centered regions then. Z/K are top of mind for me whenever someone asks this. Yes Z has CoX, but I think you could skip out on that and it wouldn't be that big a deal. Kandarin has essentially no bosses, so that's just a free points region. The last pick is going depend on the type of content you like I think. I like W for the supply drops, but you will be fighting all the bosses if you go that route. I'm not sure I'd call them late game compared to other things in the game, but your call on whether or not that does it for you. Another good option is actually the Desert. Most of the activities there are skilling focused. Ya, you pick up ToA -- and if you take it with Z (CoX) then I probably wouldn't completely skip out on the raids. My suggestion with this is to do some very low end ToA's. You'll pick up the easy points and maybe earn a few rares for additional points. Still skip CoX and don't spent much time in ToA.
@@YewJackOSRS Thanks! W is a good call and I was considering it anyway. I def don't mind the wildy bosses. I'm just trying to avoid Raids/DT2 bosses because I've never done them. May go W/K/Z.
I don't think it does much for you gear wise, but you do get D boots. I don't think it really drops any other main pieces right? At least nothing that you couldn't get from revs/pirates.

The legend himself. I appreciate you stopping in. 😁
Desert takes some convincing for me. Feels as barren as the name implies sometimes lol.
Desert got benched hard now that you can get shadow elsewhere. The only unique thing from desert now is masori and imo thats not worth a region gear wise
Good afternoon doubleshine
Training melee combat in Varlamore will be super fast (and afk): Sulphur Nagua, which are aggresive, with minus armor and (free) moonlight potions is insane xp.
Ya. I do really like that dungeon. Very self sufficient. I think especially earlier on that'll be a really nice place to hang out for combat.
Also their drops are super nice imo. Some nice runes, ores up to mithril, the sulph blades you can alch, I think they're a highlight of the region. The frost naguas are nice too cause you can get temotli now which are like better torags before you get dual macs
The potions scale with herblore level but thr pots are a base 38 xp so probably a fast way to train herb hunter and fishing.
@@Lizardfreak5 thought torags hammers are still better than the frost hammers.

I know it was many many years ago but I still remember it pretty well, atleast the favour grind is gone
Varlamore is S tier purely because it is new content and at the end of the day all that matters is having fun and I have more fun doing content I'm unfamilar with, rather than repeating the same grinds.
In leagues though the risk is completely gone so you just end up with high reward.
awesome and informative video, definitely earned yourself a new subscriber and i look forward to more leagues videos! :D
Thanks! And welcome aboard. :)
This guy makes great vids. Thanks for the work on this, sir!

What combat style will be best to focus on if I plan on picking desert for TOA as my raid region?
The gear from Desert will certainly help you lean range. You use every style in ToA and I'd probably put it in this order considering how much each gets used: Range > Melee > Magic. I'm hoping this year that they do more general combat boosts in the mastery system so that every style feels decent to use, but we'll have to see on that.
Good list, I agree though we will have to wait and see what we learn about the relics and such :)
Mhm. I'll be updating it as the leaks come up so we hopefully end up with a pretty good list right when things start.
@@YewJackOSRS Got it. Thanks for letting me know!
For Max Cape you have home and crafting guild tele in one. Plus you have thieving cape % bonus for late game thieving if you don’t have Ardy cape.
The teles are actually really helpful, especially in conjunction with last recall.
Are your graphics available anywhere? Those skills and tasks breakdown are super helpful
@@YewJackOSRS Good stuff, keep up the good work!
Ya. I'll 100% be covering the daily leaks and want to update the tier list as we get that info so by the end I've got a sort of quick reference that people can use.
im confused, why do you show the scythe in the BIS list for kourend if you can only get it from TOB?
Every raid drop the 3 big weapons (Scythe, Shadow, T Bow).
The hunters crossbow will be available in Varlamore. Mods confirmed that in the discord, so no nasty Kandarin pick if you want to go range. 😉
@@YewJackOSRS OH COOL! I'll have to rewatch the video to pick a 3rd region
@@YewJackOSRS appreciate the response, thanks my guy! Also, crazy how much is changing with these new reveals.
best regions to point farm for non pvm things? Like I mostly just want to skill my way up to dragons cup if possible.
Great work.
Are you going to be releasing videos for the upcoming reveals that start tomorrow?
Yep! Going to try and do daily vids with each leak. I do work full time so I'll likely be coming into it in the later half of the day if they do something similar to last year.
Well, this didn't age well. However, great video mate. I'm quite impressed by Jagex how they twisted everyone's plans for this year.
At least the area overviews are still pretty accurate. 😅
@YewJackOSRS i agree ❤️

Also would love to see a tierlist of best 3 area combos - I'm going DAZ :)
Oh ya true. That ring is a nice pickup since rings are such a pain in the butt to make in leagues.
I'll definitely be doing some overall combos once we get more details about relics/masteries/echos.

btw good video :D
Varla is a good all arounder, and adding a raid into the mix I think is a good call as well. I'd probably lean a support region for the final pick personally -- W/K/T/F come to mind. You just pick whichever you like the content of more. Out of those I think W/K probably mesh the best, but there is a case for F as well. T is a big sad cause you get the crystal set but then can't use bowfa with masori's from the desert. Still not a bad support region and you do get some stuff outside of bowfa.
@@YewJackOSRS thanks, i will think about it, we have a couple days left to choose :D
I'm taking asgarnia, desert and morytania. which order would you pick them? great video btw :)
@@YewJackOSRSGetting kicked from the house wouldn’t affect last recall since you can’t recall to inside a POH
Yew Jack, are you going melee style for the League with Zeah, Mory, Asga??
I'm not sure if I'll do 2 accounts this year -- If I do I'll pick up Mory and do a route there. Otherwise, I'm currently planning Z/V + an undecided 3rd. Initial thoughts are this would make for a good mage setup cause Z is gives BIS + shadow. Just wanted to point out you mentioned Vork was good for fletching from dart tips. You cant make darts in fremmy unless you have desert.
Desert lets you smith darts, but you can fletch them anywhere. Normally you struggle to get dart tips besides smithing them, but vorkath actually drops a decent amount of rune/dragon dart tips. Plus a little bit on the logs side as well.
@@YewJackOSRS Ahh yes youre right, thanks for the correction!
You can reset stats in colosseum I think. Won’t be as fast as desert statue but would still probably work
Can you? As in going in and just leaving from the first wave, or does an npc in the lobby let you do that?
definitly going all of zeah but what out of wildy and morytania for a 3rd? or do I drop varlamore and pick both morytania and wildly?
@@YewJackOSRS my goal is just fun, I don't have much time and want to try some fun relic combos with gear.
All my region picks are going to be based off what echo bosses look the most fun/the most able for me (I suck at pvm)
@@BestFriend188 The next few weeks should help narrow that down for ya then. Info leaks starting tomorrow. 😁
I am still lost, about which areas to unlock, i know asgania thanks to mining, but otherwise i am kinda lost xD your video helped alot though, appreciate it
okay fine u win, i subscribed
Lol. Thanks! ❤
For the cannon in Asgarnia, that would be assuming that Dwarf Cannon quest is auto completed. Otherwise you'll need Kandarin.
Mods have confirmed you'll get the cannon with just Asgarnia. No sad Kandarin pick required for you. 😄
"Do it again." -Jagex with the echo boss/loot info today. :)
Working on it right now. 😂
@YewJackOSRS hey thanks appreciate the comment. Good advice :)
Dont forget the boss changes for leagues might mean dags can drop thibgs from other bosses 20:34
Ya. Waiting for more info on the echo bosses. I'm expecting that and relics/masteries will impact the overall rating of some areas.
What about the tanner in forthos with red dhide?
Desert: Pros: ToA, good thieving exp, great mage gear, GOTR
Cons: mage training arena
@@Ricardo_Rick for what it's worth, mage training arena did get some improvements this year. Still not the most fun grind but is marginally better. 😅
I think we can expect a Relic/Mastery to allow Rev weapons boost to work outside of the wilderness, as DMM was their way of testing it out.
@@YewJackOSRS since you have rings already in wildy, I could see it being a necklace slot item to that effect
@@YewJackOSRS good thought on that sort of mastery system
I think wilde is A. I personally want to get a ring of the gods. It was either last leagues or shattered that there was a prayer relic and i had peity and overhead on all the time 😂
I think it was last league we got like a sort of soul split style relic. Heal hp/prayer based on % of dmg dealt sort of deal.
That one was a good time for just afk'ing pretty much everything lol.
My only issue with how amazing wildy is, is pvp enabled? Because im garbage at it.
Technically, but you don't lose items on death during leagues so there isn't risk involved.
@YewJackOSRS i wanted to say thank you for the reply because most CC's stop replying after the first day or so! Ty bro!!
Not sure if you noticed in the discord, but the guy in charge of reveals said "Anyone picking Tiranwnn or Fremmy? Some crazy shit happening there this league"
I wouldn't count those regions out just yet!
We'll have to see. I'm skeptical on Tirannwn at least lol.
ive never done leagues, where should I go? I was thinking barrows
@@YewJackOSRS thank you bro I appreciate the help! I'll make sure to keep following along the videos 💯
slight downside is that your magic setup is gonna be pretty trash for TOA until you get shadow, which can easily take over a week, but I guess that's true for every region unless you take Kandarin
i would have listed herblore as three green arrows for the wilderness. the big bosses drop huge stacks of noted herbs and also drop massive stacks of secondaries. like 500 red spiders eggs and mort myre fungi and wine of zammy. the elder chaos druids are also great for farming herbs. you fight them right next to an altar so you have infinite prayer and they drop up to 4 herbs at a time. its so great
i picked the wilderness last year and herblore was so hard to max. i feel like it would have been impossible without the help of the wilderness
Not 100% decided on this, but I'm leaning towards agreeing with you overall for the herbs + secondaries.
crystal pickaxe in tiranwn with kouren, how?
Oh shoot, you're right. I think I flipped Asgarnia and Kourend on there when I condensed it down from the region vid.
Kourend you can get D Axe through Wintertodt -> Crystal Axe
Asgarnia you can repair your D Pick from Volcanic Mine -> Crystal Pickaxe
My bad on that one. Good catch.
After the echo items reveal im definitely taking the wilderness as one of my regions.
Gl! :D
I think Varla will be fun for some wonky builds.
Fremennik getting a huge glow up from echo bosses
Ain't lying there. Fremmy is going to be huge.
I will point out Sunlight Hunter Crossbow requires access to the Yanille store to get a regular hunter crossbow, sadly.
You may be happy to know that won't be true for this year. They are adding the hunter crossbow to the charters in Varlamore. 😁
23:37 you can kill duke in a faster method already
How so?
@@YewJackOSRSgrind up 40 mushrooms and feed them to duke. It’s quite a lot faster, managed to get sub 1:20 kills in main game.
@@AUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH Oh I see. That doesn't improve my view of duke for leagues lol. I want easy mode - click and gone. 😝
Wouldn't be a leagues region tier list without Asgarnia getting crazy over-rated and Fremmy getting crazy underrated XD
And Tirannwn falling off the bottom of the list. 🤣
Thank you for saying EN=souled heads not unsoiled heads :P
Did my best on that one lol
I am thinking as a first time leaguer.. but uhh a pvper.
Wilderness
Kourend
valamore
anyone's feed back be appreciated
I like wildy being in B (for Bad) very much.
Ah rip. You got me there lol.
Now you have to remake because of echo bosses 😂
I'm working on that tonight lol
Before i watched the video im think kourend -> wilderness -> maybe desert not sure about the last one.
You'll probably mostly agree with my takes then. 😉
Im thinking im going to take Asgarnia, Morytania, and Kourend
That'll be a lot of pvm, but otherwise should be good! Gl. 😁
Hot take because it Theoretically makes Tirannwn obsolete, They should add Anti-Venom(1) as a rare supply drop or something in the echo bosses drop table.
That'd be hilarious actually. Basically take away the best synergy of Tirannwn lol.

@ awesome, I’ll be tuning in! My prediction; some of the teases will completely shake up the metas, even more than past leagues. Echo bosses, combat masteries, new spins on the relics etc. Gonna be some huge curve balls!
The subscribe region got me
Welcome to the best region. 😍
varlamore is S tier mining you get 40k+ and 15k pray exp in main game + multiple in league thats good
Not bad by any means, I think it just struggles to compete with power mining iron -- especially if we get relics that favor traditional skilling. It is also competing with fossil islands volcanic mine, which you could totally do to 99. The prayer combo is a good shout though. You won't always want to just train 1 skill, so having overlap like that can be really helpful.
There's a rooftop course in shazyian
Ya, I just didn't think it offered enough to put agility on the map for Kourend. (Plus Kourend has sooo much anyway lol)
33:30 "i can say things right sometimes" continues to say ruin instead of rune 🤣 my man out here playing Ruin-Escape not RuneScape
I did say, don't ask me about rune. lol
Noxious halberd is also a really good weapon in mory that's not incredibly rare
Ya, I think that one will be a fun weapon to play around with. Get that extra range + all the cmb buffs. I'm sure people will work out some wild things with that.
Tiranwn first seems a lot of fun though
Tirannwn has certainly picked up some value since I originally talked about it lol. Still a bit of a rough pick early I think due to a lot of the things being locked behind high level skills.
thanks Jew Yack good video

VZD gang rise up!
Yeeee
Mory/Wildy/Frem mage here!
Nice! gl :D
Agreed 👍
I found a gout tuber in less than 30 mins last time lol... I then spent the next 2h trying to get one for my friend and we never got it :(
Lucky on the first. Rip on the 2nd. I don't recall how long it took me last league but I'm sure it was at least several hours. Such a pain in the butt for like a 40 pt task.

@@Groutith That is some dedication lol
Mory. Asgarnia, and wildy full tank and ranged build bby.
Let's goooo
❤Hi ~
I'm thinking asgarnia, varlamore and kourend.
Gl!
Probably going V->A->D for my first time league. Val is new. Asg is familar, and Desy is the raid region of my choice.
i dunno why people hate on wildy, getting supplies in leagues is annoying, why wouldnt i want to be drowning in restore potions or sanfews
Right?! I hated having to gather everything on the account where I didn't have wildy. Was actually the reason I didn't max there. Sometimes skilling relics can help balance that out, but when you are making choices like Production vs Gathering... you will always lose out on one set of skills. Wildy can help pick up that slack very easily without upping your time commitment during the league significantly (like if you had to farm raids for supplies - gl with that lol).
im planning tirannwn first its gonna be rough
THAT IS NOT THE STAFF OF THE DEAD??? 24:50
Huh? The green one there is the staff of the dead. It's not the toxic staff of the dead -- you'd need Tiranntrash for that. 😉
Ok I feel bad about that one. I'm sorry Tirannwn. 😅
Anyone got recs for someone who wants to amass as many points as possible without any late game PVM? J
Fremnik ended up being BiS for range
Ikr lol
Ill be honest I sorta agree with the wilderness take but you forgot about wilderness GWD which can still give you decent gear
I don't think it does much for you gear wise, but you do get D boots. I don't think it really drops any other main pieces right? At least nothing that you couldn't get from revs/pirates.
You don't think there's a second god wars dungeon in the wildy that has the gwd bosses, right?
