Hey guys we are aware that Tilta has updated their pendulum design. We already have the new one and will begin testing the new one for a future video! It does mount to the float the same way however so feel free to continue to use this video as a guide!
Did you get the new pendulum? I'm really curious on your opinion of it. Reviews seem negative. Also, does the pendulum allow you to use the Float in steadicam/upright position?
Is the block between the two plates already there ? Because on the pendulum pictures there is no block. Neither on the pictures of the online blinds, nor on the one of the video
Sorry for the long delay in our next video. We are an actively working studio and got really busy. We have 4 new product videos coming out soon and a follow up to our float videos. Stay tuned
Horizontal - However we have modified the float and have made it easier and faster to balance. We have perfected the balancing of the float and have had it out on over 60+ shoots. We have a upcoming show that will bring everyone up to date and how we use it.

Sky, We have used two different pendulums from Tilta in the past. Yes the pendulum is perfect for steady cam mode as well as javelin etc. The pendulum allows the weight to shift as you change the orientation of the float. We have modified the float since the video and have had it out on at least 60+ shoots. We have perfected the balancing and uses for the float and will have a future video out soon on all we have learned.
20 hours in, l cannot get the Float with V-mount batteries (2 of the same size) to balance at all. Using R5C + RF 24-70 + UGREEN 100W battery and a matte box. Well within weight limits but the float Just won't balance - even with the gimbal perfectly balanced.

Awesome, thanks for sharing!
Ha!! I got the pendulum based on your video and this is exactly what I need to solve today! Great timing. Thank you for doing this.
Love that we’re in sync with you!👍🏼 We posted a balancing video too, if that’s of resource. Good luck on your work!😁
thank you for this!!!

When are you guys gonna drop that next video? another good quick one would be how to balance the arm!

Thank you for creating this video - it really helped. Question were you able to balance vertical and horizontal with this pendulum?

@@digitalfeast when is the show coming out? I am about to get a tilta and would like to know the best balancing
@@elvismaldonado2631 We are shooting it this week. Should be out next week.
Can you pull off Javelin mode with this?
Yes, that’s how the we balance it! Neutrally and in javelin mode 👍🏼

Ordered a DF pendulum, hope this helps.
