I have a small vineyard green and red Grapes 🍇 We don’t drink alcohol I make grape juice , jellies jams etc. this is been extremely helpful with Tips on pruning etc. thank you very much! 😊I have some of my ancestry that comes from Tupper Lake Adirondack Mountains some of them from Canada 🇨🇦 to New England, including Vermont Niagara Falls, Tupperlake lake placid Adirondack mountains , Such beautiful country. My mom used to call it God’s country. I love how you put this video together with gorgeous music in the background thank you again really reminds me of my sweet mom’s family. ❤️🙏
I tip my hat to the vineyard owner. He explains what he does very clearly in a clinical way like a professor in neuro surgery . 😆 Thank you sir. I wish I lived near Niagara I can come work for you for free so I can learn how to take care of grapevines for my project when I retire at 55
"I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. John 15:1-2 NASB Very informative video!
This is amazing. I dream of having my small winery one day and the more I watch, the more I want to quit my 8 to 5 job and do it. Better than anything you will read in any book.
Have seen this video a few time already: The more I see it, the more i have learnt. Thanks so much: You have given us the best knowledge earth can provide.
Excellent video, one of only a handful of videos online that explain the entire year process of grape growing. Wish there were some comments on fertilizing. Still an A+ video
Thank you very much, for showing great tips, I have left my grapes to grow wild, I have now applied your skills, and tips. And this year i am very confident, i will see great improvement. Than you.
We are so happy to find this video. It provide many guidelines of how to grow vineyard for homeowners like us. We hope you can make more video like controlling/preventing weed and fungus. Great job and Thanks!
One of the most informative videos I’ve seen Just started growing a vine and totally confused regarding pruning etc… Vine is now almost 3 years and will Be doing its first pruning It’s spring here in South Africa and I have a few sets already😅😅😅 So I’ll wait till next year to prune Thank you
Have you harvested some grapes already, cause I just bought 3 different variety grape plants from a nursery in South Africa (I’m in Namibia) and curious how long it takes before it starts producing?
Thank you! This video was explained in laymans terms. I had concord grapes doing great for 20 years or so and did absolutely no maintenance. Best grape jelly you'll ever taste...thank you mom. Lucked out but finally got black rot. I'm burning down to the main root and trying to start over but want to do it right this time. Maybe I'll try my hand at wine making this time. Again, thank you!
20 yrs and got black rot? makes me as a new person to gardening in general scared to even try to start my vineyard. does anything prevent that? is there starting signs.?
Planted 40 Concord vines 3 years ago in WNC. Before the 3rd season pruned in early spring like the guy said in this video and had lots of grapes but was hit by fungus disease during the summer. I bought Serenade Garden disease control and some copper fungicide this year. Hopefully this year will be a total success.

I would just like to thank you for this wonderful video. I have just secured my own land in the UK, the soil has been tested and planting will begin in spring. My father in law has his own vineyard making around 2000 litres per year for personal use. I intend to go much further and to try and make a business out of it.
Thank you, very well shown, and a great vineyard. I will ask you to add subtitles so that people who do not speak your language can understand your video better. I am also engaged in viticulture and I am very pleased to see that there are people who do it with love.
I am learning very well on how to prune muscadines. Also, how to fertilize muscadines.I made some muscadine jelly last August. Gave most of it away. Everyone liked it. I liked it too. Will make some more this August. Thanks UA-cam.
seeing you be upset about the noodles but then immediately going to improve them is amazing and inspiring to me! i would've given up but you didn't and i really respect that! I love your videos. And it's an honor to have you visit our channel, we can discuss more about our experiences in harvesting and building farms.
Obrigado.
First of all, it is worth recalling that vines and vines are among the most demanding in the field of permanent plantings. In order to obtain a high yield while maintaining the health of the plants, it is necessary to put in a lot of effort and in time. Beginners are often able to ruin a grape crop if they act randomly and with insufficient knowledge. One of the main concerns is even before pruning. Need to learn: The optimal cutting time, the instructions for pruning, the valuable and rare tips of the masters for specific practices, etc. First of all, a novice should know the time when it is possible to carry out pruning.
Since you are constantly picking a new cane each year to lay down, eventually won't the new canes you choose be so far from the center that you run out of space? For example, year 1 you choose the cane from the first bud closest to the middle. It grows out and then in year 2, you choose the first bud from the previous years cane. It's now basically 2 buds away from the center. Not sure if I phrased that well enough but it's always been confusing to me and I haven't seen an answer.
So, my vine (roughly 3 years old) had began growing grapes this year. They flowered, then began making little green balls. But now, all of these premature grapes are just falling off my vine, everywhere, and idk what's going on. It doesn't seem normal, and I can't find information for this particular issue online. I've gone through so many videos with no answers. Maybe someone here can tell me what I messed up on?

I'm learning about the winemaking procedure for the first time, and I really like it :)
The beauty of this video is, I can use the same concepts as a small home grower to get the best product out of my vines
