A little about us:
In September 2015, our hearts were hijacked with the dream of living on a large farm, with community, growing food, caring for animals and loving on children in need of care and healing. It was a God moment, where our dreams collided with His dreams… a dream so big we could never do it in our own strength and wisdom. Since then, we have been on a journey to see that dream become a reality. This channel documents that journey.

First time I have ever watched, subscribed and hit the bell without checking the channel out. Excellent instructions! Thank you so much.
Hello again! This is my year! I have soooo many "baby grapes!"
Grow Grow Grow!
Anyone reading this....
This is by far the easiest/cheapest trellis you can build.
I give this video A+
Hey thanks for that 🤗! Glad to hear they are doing good!
I love ya'll. You have no idea how much this reminds me of what I saw growing up as a child to a woman. My grandfather Luther Lee Snyder built a large grape vine trellis' on his land where I was raised and we his grandchildren, my mom and her siblings and my grandmother picked every summer and fall and they made grape jelly, juice and wine for our family. Thanks for triggering beautiful memories. May God give you a bountiful harvest of grapes every year. I could smell the grapes boiling slowly on the stove and the Mason jars out. 🤗🤗🤗
God will definitely lead all your members to heaven to live happily, I will pray for you. Amen
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with others.
Great tutorial and clear directions! Thank you so much for sharing this information!
This is by far the greatest video. Take it from a person that has hardly ever build anything This is the method I will use thanks man!!!
Super helpful. Thanks for the demo!
Your video inspired me. I ordered 4 vines last night, today I've gathered everything to build. Now if the weather would co-operate. Currently 25°F
well done mate! thank you for sharing!
Very nice and well done. Exactly what I am presently erecting on a smaller scale (2 posts with 7 foot U-Posts in between 4 grapevines in our backyard except an 8 foot separation between vines. I got my gauge 9 wire and the same wire clamps and I have already dug 2 feet for one post hole. Needs another 6 inches. I got clayish soil with small rocks galore. No need for quikcrete. Added a lot of peatmoss and perlite to the soil plus DIY compost after tilling the soil and removing as much of the rocks as possible.
I just built my grape trellis the other day. It is different but I am confident it will work well, too. You might want a second wire or something a foot or so below that one, too. It gives the vine a little more to cling to.

Liked your assistant/helper:)
Thanks for sharing 👍!
Very educative description regarding Grape vine early management. Thank you.
DODOMA TANZANIA. East Africa.
That’s going to be a nice little vine yard.
Thank you for this
Thank you gonna give this a try😊
Thank You!
I'm now planning out my grape project for spring. This is by far easiest build. Like the wire clamps.
We used them for 1/2 strand in telecom. We called them 'pickles ' lol. They connected 2 wires together.
10/10 A +
Thank you!
Were just starting with grapes and really appreciated your video! I'm going to use exactly the same design. Cheers :)
I discovered a great compilation of videos that should help you at Grape Grower Folio
Awesome video! No fluff right to the point. Keep it up!
Thank you!!
Thank you sir.
Thanks for this! I'm gonna use this info
Beautiful vineyard, greetings from Poland 👌😊
Thanks for sharing. I'm watching from Guyana, South America.
Awesome! So much help!
Glad it helped!
Very helpful, thanks!
Thanks for watching!!
Thanks for sharing your vidio
Thanks! :)
Amazing
Dang it, I wish I had soil like that for 4x4 posts. Eastern NC and super sandy soil. Rip. LOL! Great video man!
Same - I was thinking the same exact thing lol.
Goshen you don't need a "T" post (9:25) to guide your vine, all you need is a length of jute rope that you tie to the base of the vine and up to the wire. In few years the jute deteriorates and the vine trunk becomes self supporting.
Awesome tutorial. Thank you.
Thanks for watching ❤️
Need the material list for
Good job
Thank you!
Nice! Do you happen to have an update video on these trellises? I am planning to plant some muscadine this fall. Thank you for the video 💜
I need an update on this trellis system!

I can across an awesome compilation of videos that may help you at Grape Grower Folio
Hi ..bro....👋👋👍👍
Would love to have seen how the grapes are trained on this
Really like your design with the wire vice for tension. Has it held up well? Seems much easier than the fish eye hooks/tensioning hardware.
I was wondering how well it held up also?
Thank you for the step by step 🤗
Good video 📸
Salve quel lavoro è giusto che fai mai io ho piantato un piccolo vigneto di520 barbatelle con una trivella a scoppio comprata su internet molto efficacia. Saluti dal nord Salento Puglia
Very informative video. I read where the support wire you have recommended contains lead. Are you concerned about using this around food?
Were you able to find a replacement wire? What do organic vineyards use?
What's the deal with the wire spacing? Yall did a high or low cordon?
Question, are you concerned at all about early rot due to not putting the bottom in concrete?
Where do you get those vise things that hold the wire tight?
Check the link in the description of the video. Thanks for watching!
Greetings, I'm sorry, can you plant grapes in a pot?
How high is the second hole for the wire from the ground?
I think he said 3 feet
Where do I buy the wire bites?
Just use cement to anchor the post
WOW ! VERY INTERESTING. INFORMATIVE. THOUGHT YOU OVER THOUGHT THIS PROJECT. BUT YOU MADE STRONG LASTING PLANTS THAT WILL PROBABLY OUT LIVE U. NOW WHAT THE NAME OF THE CUP LIKE THE YOU USED TO POUND IN THE TEE POST??
Thanks for the encouragement! It's called a SpeeCo Post Driver. We got ours at Tractor Supply.
Do you have any update on the success of the grape trellis?
There are doing great! We will be planting an entire vineyard this spring and documenting the whole process so stay tuned!
Where exactly will you be putting the grapes?
Will there be adjacent to the T posts?
The reason why I ask is because I am trying to create a temporary support system for my dormant grapes.
Why do you not anchor the 4X4's
Great video. I purchased the items that you posted in the about section. I can't get the 9 gauge wire through the wire vice. It forces the spring out of the wire. Do you have any advice? Did you file the end of the wire? Thanks in advance.
Weird I didn’t have that problem. Are you sure you’re putting the wire through the right way?
I am having the same problem!! Very frustrating!!
New to your channel I have thought about raising grapes but I’m in zone 9 not sure what to get
We are about to plant a vineyard and we will be using varietals that are local to our area and hardy. We just searched online for hearty vines for our growing areas and found a good selection.
@@GoshenFarmandGardens good advice
How r you going to anker to the ground?
Why can't you use nothing but t-post, and would 14 gauge wire be just as good?????
Is there any reason why you are using 9 gage wire? I am sure it is more expensive as opposed to 12.5 gage wire which is the standard in the industry here in Napa California…
Couldn't you put the post in at a slight angle away from each other so that when they are tensioned they are closer to plum? Or is that a horrible idea?
I am thinking the same thing...So I'll be angling mine little bit.
A couple of questions: How far apart are the posts for the trellis? How tall is the T-post?
It depends on how many grape vines you want to plant
@@GoshenFarmandGardens Ah. Just one.
👀
@7:20 when you split the wood, how could that be avoided?
The wood looks split in the video but it’s not.
What is the ideal distance between two hills of grapes?
Where can i find a grape catcher..or what can I use to catch them before they fall on the grown
You need to pick them before they fall to the ground. If they have fallen to the ground they are probably rotten
Unless your trying to have a narrow hole, your better off just using a regular shovel to dig your holes, those two handle digger are heavy, slow and just a pain in the ass.
I did mine starting with a shovel until I hit the clay level and just needed a few more inches, then switched to the post digger
Hey man you should try using a cob mixture to set your posts, to avoid concrete, as I see you like to do! I use it on my land and I works great👍🏼
