It's definitely fine to buy and use the BM 800 condenser mic along with the V8 soundcard if you're just starting out and if you don't have the budget. It's okay to use these two items but if you really want to get serious with content creation, whether streaming yan, song covers, tutorials, etc. you need to understand that you'll be upgrading your equipment somewhere down the line and it's going to be a much better investment if you purchase a good mic along with an audio interface or a mixer which can offer audio of a much higher quality and more flexibility. I've been using BM 800 as my only mic for 3 years now that's plugged into an audio interface and I'm satisfied with what I have. Again, no one is telling you to buy expensive equipment nor is anyone saying that you'll end up with poor quality content if you use the BM800 along with the V8 soundcard. Make do with what you have and if ever you get the money or the chance to upgrade, I highly suggest getting a better mic and an audio interface/usb mixer. Great content bro, keep it up!
Yeah using this sound card as a newbie Kumu streamer. I changed my mic into Shure Dynamic because im not comfortable using condenser mic. Maybe, if this sound card breaks, K1 or Maono is also a good choice.
There is a negligible hiss in V8 everytime I try to EQ in Voicemeeter. I forgot what frequency it is but it's there! I kinda regret buying it tbh. Aside from that, even with Voicemeeter and a powered USB hub to connect my v8 to, there's a noticeable static sound in my voice in Discord. It isn't present in OBS (maybe because I have filters) but it's very noticable in Discord when I try to listen to myself. You can hear electric cracks and my voice cuts off regardless if I have low or high mic threshold/sensitivity. I hope ppl would read this comment so that they know what they'll get if they buy the v8. Love the vid Norcla! Thanks for these info!

The music becomes repetitive and I can't really hear what you are saying and how you are making changes. But other than that, great work.
I own this two months ago as i started as a Kumu Streamer, well the only problem i encounter is the hissing sound. The wire needs to be replaced. When i changed the wire, static sounds were gone. I dont use condenser mic while streaming, instead I recommend Shure Dynmaic mic if you’re into live singing. Its still alive for 2 mos now. Just dont charge it while using.... the type of Microphone and Wires you’re using really are big factors... thats all.. planning to buy a Maono or K1 also
What Charger cable do you recommend? Also what wires for Microphones do you recommend? I plan to run my mic's through my Phantom Power and then into this for mixing.
Wait, I justed browsed this microphone and I saw the v8 sound card included with the mic, did you buy your bm800 with the soundcard? Is there anyway to not purchase the v8 sound card with the mic?
I have recently bought this product and actually paired it with BM-800 too... 😅.. My English is not that well otherwise I would have made a review video for all of those who understand English (I usually target the audience who speaks Urdu/Hindi). That being said, here is a advice to make your BM-800 Audio better with V8 Soundcard(if you have bought it already). I use Voicemod (its a free/paid software) so basically it has a noise suppressor(in free version too) which removes that hiss noise even if you are using the BM-800 without the V8 soundcard, but there is like a very little echo/hiss/robotic noise (most noticeable when editing your audio) [turn on the voice changer button so that it can work]. So, when I bought this Soundcard it actually helped, Although I wasn't expecting it to work like that. but now my audio is much much better and I don't think I need a phantom power now(Although maybe in future if my wallet allow me too). If you have bought it don't worry, you can stream, make contents etc. Hope this helps. 🙂 P.S: Adjustments needs to be made according to your voice.
I tried the V8 sound card when my parents got it for me for Christmas. It worked a couple times, but most of the time it was shit. My parents are returning it. I have to turn it on after 10 attempts and there’s now a staticky noise.

The V8 soundcard... You don't have to plug it to the electricity just to power it up. Mt setup is that I use the charging port of the V8 soundcard directly to the computer. The other Live plugs is for your other devices actually.
While it would be nice if hte V8 had a filter on the charging port, the underlying cause of the hiss hes experiencing is his electricity is dirty and sending a lot of interference down the line. He blames the soundcard when he should be looking at his PSU or power company.
I got this because it was the same cost as just the microphone I was looking at and I'm not a fan of the metallic sounds I have when I speak through it. will it be good if i only use a dynamic mic?
The V8 soundcard... You don't have to plug it to the electricity just to power it up. Mt setup is that I use the charging port of the V8 soundcard directly to the computer. The other Live plugs is for your other devices actually.
While it would be nice if hte V8 had a filter on the charging port, the underlying cause of the hiss hes experiencing is his electricity is dirty and sending a lot of interference down the line. He blames the soundcard when he should be looking at his PSU or power company.
Been using BM800+Voicemeter from norcla and been having feedbacks that I sound like a FM Radio Station DJ
PERFECT
Perfect for circuit bending and making glitch art
I got this because it was the same cost as just the microphone I was looking at and I'm not a fan of the metallic sounds I have when I speak through it. Plugging the mic in to my capture card runs a much cleaner sound. I got this because my headset microphone sounded horrible on my video's once I got it actually working. (just starting out and hoping to put out content that doesn't sound like I'm talking through a snare drum or wet sock. lol)
Lol i saw your old vids and bought BM 800 with phantom power and used RTX voice and it works great just buy phantom power instead of sound card and use RTX voice
Glad I was able to help!
what if i insert charger at one of those live ports , then will the soundcard get damage ?
did you try your more expensive mic to V8 sound card? I got audio tecnica 2020 and im looking for an audio interface which has features like v8 sound does.

Can u record a song with this device???
Hi. I had a hard time connecting the v8 sound card to desktop running windows 10. Seems the microphone volume is too low. How did you connect the v8 sound card to your desktop? thanks.
If you are using bm800 as your mic, remember to align your lips at the bm800's logo while holding it upright rather than speaking on top of the mic..
@@wazzup7428 yeah. I was aware it was a cardioid mic but the mic had very low pick up even if speaking to it at the right orientation. Any other thoughts?
Ano po ba fiited na sound card sa V8
Why not you intro your recommendation? Theres 2 vid about bad of "v8"
