I'm really grateful that you both made this video, I just got the BM 800 and wasn't sure if I should get the v8 soundcard or get an audio interface to improve my audio quality although it's not bad at all right now. I plan on using the mic for gaming videos, tutorials and live-streaming. I took away one thing from you guys though, "don't go broke trying to impress people you don't know" , so I'm going for the V8 as I don't think I'll need an audio interface; I'm not making music lol. Funny how I’m also from Nigeria and i just got the V8 and the got the BM 800 earlier last month and it’s been good. Recorded my first podcast with it and i also used it for gaming.

Ok naman ang sound ng BM800 microphone. Hindi naman ako masyadong techie pag dating sa mic, at hindi ko naman maa-afford yung mga high-end na microphones, so contento naman ako sa sound ng samples nyo. Pwede na sa mga online zoom meetings, maiintindihan na ng lahat ang sinasabi.

Do you have suggestions to add reverb on the focusrite? For live performances. Or do you use software to add reverb with small delay/latency?
I saw on other videos they use some pedals then connect to sound interface to add reverb with no latency~

We use a software since we don't have pedals / gears. Have you tried adjusting buffer size for minimal latency?
@@Helloioanna I tried using the OBS plugin for reverb and also on Voicemeeter Potato w/ Reverb. Both have delays. I have Behringer UM2 and BM800.
I don't know how to edit the buffer thingy yet. I ordered a V8 just for the reverb for casual karaokes 😂 I hope it doesn't have that much delay with the instrumental music

BM-800 is a great microphone if you are limited budget wise. It works well without a pre-amp, and results would be better with one. A very great choice for start ups. 🎙️🎙️🎙️

Obviously, ang mura po ng BM800 unlike sa mga ginagamit ng mga professionals. Pwede rin po itong gamitin ng mga professionals kung gusto nila ng murang condenser microphone. Yun nga lang may mga dapat pa silang idagdag or gamitin when they’ll use this. Appealing din po sya sa lahat whether aspiring new singers sila or recording artists or even sa mga gamers and feeling singer like me, haha, dahil po sa budget-friendly price range nya and yung appearance nya. Hindi po siya mahirap I-set up kung halimbawang ako ang mapipili, haha! And of course, matutuwa ang sinuman whoever get this one dahil they can start recording or video covering easily and effectively. Nice.. 😊👍🏻

Done watched your video. Hindi po ako singer at never pang nagkaroon ng ganyan. Pero ayon sa napanood ko sa inyong video, very quality na din itong bm800 Lalo with v8sound card. And it's easy to use pa. magandang equipment ito sa mga naguumpisa ng karera sa pagkanta and pagrerecording. Siguro hindi man ito ang pinakahigh end na equipment pero I think worth it naman ang affordability nito. Tama po, hindi ang mga expensive na equipment ang hahadlang sa pangarap na maging singer recorder. As long as we have the God given voice and talent, the confidence and the trust in ourselves we may go a long way to our career journey.

We were afraid that the phantom power would kill our BM800 but thank goodness it didn’t happen 😅
ofkorz big difference v8 soundcard is only 16bit and that focusrite is 24bit and up... its just the price is always right
Great video! I have the BM 800 whit the V8 sound card but, still I can't have a good sound in my records. I don't use phantom power so, I think, maybe it is the problem.
The phantom power really makes a big difference. Have you tried the phantom power adapter for BM800?

Can I ask a question. So I have a bm800 and Ive been experiencing white/buzzing noise with low volume sound. Is it ok if I just buy an audio interface like Scarlett?
A Scarlett will be a good upgrade in general but it would be best if you can make sure that your microphone is properly working too

Unfortunately I haven’t found a way to connect the v8 and the audio interface. I guess you can opt to use a virtual audio mixer if you need more controls. Hope this helps
