I bought six Mario 20th Anniversary Micros when they were on clearance at Walmart for fifteen bucks. Tried to tell friends how great they are and give them out as gifts. Everyone refused. They said it was too small to even play. So they’ve sat on my shelf ever since. I used one of them, and still use it today. But the rest remain sealed. Every few years I check what they are selling for. I’ve been waiting for them to find their ceiling, but it just keeps rising. Especially for truly sealed units. It’s pretty easy to tell if someone opened the box “just once” to take a look. I’ve always saved my boxes to maximize resale value, so I know how stickers can damage a package over time. So I warmed up the little round transparent stickers that seal the top and bottom with a hairdryer and peeled them off very slowly and carefully on day one. Last I checked, pristine units like mine are good for about 700 a piece. I’m really toying with selling 2 or 3 to score an immaculate sealed Mother 3 model. Two would cover it, but I need an extra 400 or so to cover one of the loose models with no packaging. I’d insist on it still having the red pillowcase though. I believe that these devices are meant to be played and admired. Aside from a skeeball lane and one of those ten thousand dollar commercial virtual pinball tables with the perfectly simulated force feedback and a true working coin slot, this console is the gaming device that I’ve wanted more than any other. No mattr how much I know I’d regret it, there’s no way I could leave it sealed in its box. I need to play this masterpiece on the holy shrine built to commemorate its ascendancy. At least once. So the loosey is an absolute necessity.
We were super lucky to get our hands on this one! Especially in such good condition. There’s an even rarer Toonami edition but we don’t think we’ll be seeing that anytime soon. 😅

Whoa, that's rare and incredibly cool. I've only heard of these, I've never actually seen one though.

Nice I’ve seen one before at a retro video game store that was loose just the handheld and they were asking about 549.99 for it.
