#theisle #dinosaur #gameplay I hope you enjoy this video! What do you think about the new nightvision? -------------- The Isle on Steam: store.steampow...
just clearing up, so you dont unwillingly spread misinformation: the two different kinds of nightvision are an example of nv disparities between species, predators more adept at nighttime hunting have brighter nv with discernible colours while animals that are more active at day have a harder time descerning colours and their nv isnt as bright and contrasted. No word by the devs indicated that the brightness lvl is dependent on diet
@@tigernnosaurus7324 well yeah, but the images shown with the dimmer b&w NV and the one with the brighter somewhat coloured NV is species dependent not diet dependent... the dietary effects on nightvision are pretty miniscule
I hope they keep the glowing eyes thing bc its really cool and accurate. It will also create a really cool scary vibe when humans come out, you know, with no night vision they will just see eyes glowing in the dark and mysterious dinosaur roars
I’ve played ptera and flying definitely isn’t useless. I agree pteras nv could be better but flyinv is still very very useful despite being quite difficult in areas with a lot of foliage during rain.
@@dtbrex08 I don't think whoever plays ptera flies JUST to avoid predators, it's supposed to be fun, not a drag, and with NV and the stamina being like it is right now, it's not enjoyable, at least not for me
I definitely like the new night vision. Everyone will be able to see more but there will still be some species that struggle at night which is good. I’m glad not everything will be able to see as well. I think another reason this was implemented is to avoid people abusing night vision in forests and making sure camouflage is no longer redundant
Like the pined comment said, the NV will be different for all animals. This nightvision is the best ever nighttime update we will recieve, because first this is gonna look like exactly what most animals see in the night and you will be able to still hide in the bushes without your ass glowing because you have some lighter tint on your skin lmao.
I like it 👍 This may or may not be a hot take, but I think smaller animals should inherently have exceptional nightvision compared to mid tiers. Most of them can't really punch up so I think they should see most threats coming in addition to their other tools
Nah that would kill hunting. Alot of the smaller ones are already quicker and more agile so they already have that as a way to escape. If they also see the big carnivores coming a mile away, how would they ever hunt them? Gotta be able to sneak up on them at least sometimes, the point of the game isn't to guarantee little ones survive easily.
I agree with this honestly. Larger creatures have smaller eyes too so it would make a bit more sense. Besides the fact that it kinda balances things out. Smaller creatures have an easier time surviving while larger ones are usually stronger but a bit more difficult to survive with, with apexes being the strongest but being set to hard mode when it comes to having food/diets managed well.
@@dtbrex08 it should be worse. Those carnivores need the advantage for sneak attacks at night or they won't catch them. Carno maybe but that's it for the bigger ones.
@@dtbrex08 large creatures generally have larger eyes, they just look smaller because they are proportionately smaller in relation to the size of the animal.

I came across your channel by accident. Wow it's my dilo! We needed turtles, but we were afraid to swim across xD You seemed very strange deino. //It's great to see that the developers are changing the night vision system. This is what we all need!
Legacy night vision was based on the night vision they use in safari trips, the whole green tint thing. The new night vision seems to be based on newer night vision tech used in shows like Night on Earth to get damn near daylight color and discernment even though it's 4 in the morning
I like the idea of having bad diets and struggling to see at night. But it's night time!! You're not supposed to be able to see at night easily. Not even IRL. The only reason why modern IRL humans can see well at night is because we all have lights and torches (or flashlights if you are American lol)
Even if i like the new images it's such a huge nerf to nocturnal predators like troodon and dilo and they really didn't needed that so curious to see how the balance gonna be
I made a mistake in the video. The images aren't based on diets, but on different species. So dilos and troodons will probably see very good and some other species will see very bad.
I kinda wish/hope they give the new night vision some sort of look that gives the same horror vibes that legacy did, Evrima seems to be missing all of it. The new one looks cool and I’d be happy with it but imo it doesn’t feel like night vision but just increased brightness. I kinda liked the whole “circle” night vision regardless because it’s kinda the same in real life at nighttime. When its really dark you struggle to see things far away. But I don’t think the new night vision would really ruin that though anyways so we’ll just have to see how things go.
I rather like the new night vision, it's both more usable and realistic. Although I'm guessing that night vision disparities are going to have little to do with them being herbivores or carnivores considering you then end up with the grey area of omnivores but, also it would be a hair bit unfair that small herbivores with good night vision like dryo would suddenly get nerfed that hard.
Hmmm i have a wild idea, instead of focusing on things that dont matter and killing the game off, put in the big dinosaurs that everyone wants to play that attracted people to the game in the first place and made it special, nothing is scarier than hearing thos footsteps in the low bass and knowing if your seen your done for, the stomping and slow growth and commitment made it a scary game and intense game, the raptors and dilos were a great side and gave you a reprieve but now that play style os the focus and its ruining the game, btw the deino addition and water are great, so many great things but whatever it is now, idk its like they are using the call of duty playbook, quick respawns, quick growth, no strategy just run run run, boring and mindless, just a thought.......i rarely play anymore, i used to make a whole night out of traveling to a new area of the map or two nights of growing a rex.......not anymore, 5 dilos or 10 carnos in a night, they dont matter
People can come back to the isle when it’s not boring as all get out. The games flaws are well documented at this point as are the cause-effect relationships of adding whatever new feature/new dino coming down the pike. Night vision doesn’t keep people from playing the game, not having their preferred dino doesn’t keep people from playing the game. People don’t play the game because it’s boring.
everytime this dev team posts something new in the cord they never finish the last thing they posted that they were working on they constantly posting new things without finishing anything feel like they are all over the place working on like 30 different things instead of pushing out updates and content by focusing on a few changes at a time we get a "dino almost done" post and then its not released for over a year its sad but they could be more efficient
I mean they’re trying to make everything work with each other rather than push something out and later in a year or two when they add something new they have to go back to everything else they added and make changes to those so they work with the new things they added which would create a mess. At least that’s my guess why they work on multiple things at a time.
@@mrbeardmTV well once they have all the dinos in the game they gnna have to rebalance everything anyways no? the balancing is just for the specific selection of dinos currently in the game
Why do so many of you people have a problem with night vision? Are you still playing on ancient, outdated 1080p monitors at only 60fps? Maybe that's why you can't see anything. I can see extremely far at night in Evrima. Doesn't matter what dino I play. I can see just as far at night as I can during the day.
I hate this idea i dont think your vision should suffer from bad diet and that new night vision will support players to use high gamma. And if you can see everything, that defeats the purpose of having some dinos with better night vision
