11:20 AM 01/18/2023 I am an avid Dan fan. I always thought that this album, Pretzel Logic, represented a definite shift in Fagen and Becker’s style and meaning as compared to their previous work. As you listen, you certainly feel that things are changing!!!!!!!! This certainly plays out as you listen to the album Katy Lied and most of all, the album Aja. It is a classic!!!!!!!!!
"Around the world in a day" was a breakthrough recording for Prince as he incorporated sounds that his mind could conceive, as well he incorporated sounds that maybe interpreted as Oriental in origin; with it's Hindi or Indian use of instrumental sounds.
Always sounded like the theme to a good cop show from the time. Ace!!
